Vance is an absolutely striking Beauceron/Shepherd mix with a happy easy-going personality. He’s 10 months old and still growing. He’s a big boy at 57 pounds. He arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/6 as a stray. Vance is curious and investigates his surroundings thoroughly. His tail is in constant wagging. He is highly motivated by treats, and when offered one he first jumps up before he sits. He does not jump on you. He’s friendly, well mannered, and affectionate. He may be housetrained. He walks OK on a leash. He hasn`t show any interest in other dogs, yet please ask the shelter for a dog test if you have another pup in the home. This gentle giant will need a secured yard to investigate and to live indoors where he can be close to his human companions.

Story
Blaze is a wonderful dog. He is 5 years old and a purebred AKC registered European Doberman. He is very affectionate and loves to play fetch at the park. In 2025 we had our first baby Alexandra and we unfortunately have come to find that she is allergic to him and is breaking out in rashes from his fur. We really want to find a home for him that has a yard or land so he can run because he has a lot of energy. He is not leash trained or neutered. He needs someone that understands the behavior of a Doberman and that can handle a strong dog. He will come with official AKC papers. We are asking $1000 for a rehoming fee as we have put over $3k into him. Thank you, The Edwards family

Max was originally turned in because the owners did not have enough time for him. He was then returned a few weeks later for being too rambunctious. Adopters said Max is not house trained and chased farm animals (horses & chickens). Additionally, they said that although Max is good, he has boundaries and would get annoyed with the children. Max needs a big yard and somewhere to expend his energy!
