Story
Meet Wally. Wally is an approximately 1 year old Rottweiler and Pit Bull mix weighing 75 pounds who was found off Wagonwheel Drive in Rockwall on 04/23/26 and never reclaimed. He is now searching for a forever home. Wally is a friendly, outgoing dog who enjoys spending time with people and approaches life with enthusiasm. He is strong and energetic and would do best with an owner who can provide structure, consistency, and continued training. He walks on a leash but can become excited and pull, so he would benefit from continued work on leash manners. Because of his size and strength, Wally is best suited for a home with older children and adults who understand appropriate interactions with dogs. He is not a good fit for homes with other dogs and is unlikely to do well with cats. Wally's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and heartworm negative. To apply to adopt Wally, please visit: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Waverly has been patiently waiting for her forever home for 171 days as of 06/18/26, and she is more than ready to leave shelter life behind. Because of her extended stay, Waverly is now one of our Diamond Dogs, and her adoption fee has been reduced to $75 to help her find the loving home she deserves. This stunning 2-year-old Rottweiler mix weighs about 73 lbs and turns heads everywhere she goes. Beyond her beauty, Waverly is a loyal, people-focused companion who forms strong bonds and thrives on human connection. She previously lived in a home and is housebroken, so she already knows how to be a wonderful indoor companion. Waverly is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to soak up all the love and attention and truly shine as your one-and-only best friend. She's ready for stability, routine, and a family who will give her the commitment she deserves. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative—completely ready to go home. If you're searching for a devoted, beautiful companion who just needs a chance, Waverly could be the one. Apply to adopt Waverly here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Approved applicants will be contacted by Rockwall Adoption Center staff to discuss next steps. Waverly has waited long enough-let's find her the forever she's been dreaming of  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
This beautiful girl came into our lives after being brought here and left behind. We have loved having her, but she is growing bigger and we are sadly no longer able to keep her. She is such a sweet soul with so much love to give. 🥹 She has lots of energy, loves to play, and her favorite thing is being close to her people. Because she was a rescue, she can be a little shy and timid at first — but once she trusts you, she is a loving, loyal companion. She doesn’t need a perfect home… she just needs someone who will be patient, show her love, and give her the safe place she deserves. ❤️ Please help us find the family she’s been waiting for. If you or someone you know may be interested, please message me. Even sharing this post could help her find her forever home. 🐶💕

Story
Nova is 28 lbs and six months old as of 7/10/26. She is a very loving, smart and affectionate girl who loves her stuffed toys (and everyone she meets!). We think she will be 45+ lbs full-grown.  Nova knows how to sit and shake on command. She loves belly rubs, playing fetch and eating watermelon.  Nova was born on 01/10/2026 from an accidental litter. Her family reached out to Legacy Humane Society for assistance in finding her and her sister new homes. Her Mom has been spayed, and Nova is also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $275.  Puppies require someone with lots of time and patience to raise them to be the best dogs they can be. They will do well with dogs, cats and kids. If you're interested in meeting them, please apply online and we'll be in touch: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
