Roxy girl is ready to rock your world with her amazingness!! This is a petite girl, who we believe to be a german shepherd mix... Of course with rescue, age and breed are just a guess. But we think she's still a young girl at around 18 months. She may be young, but shes not bringing that crazy puppy energy-- which we love. She is very tolerant too, letting us touch her cute little feets and big ole ears. This is important because it shows us how she will be at future veterinary appointments. She is more aloof and prefers to go on to do her own thing, like sniffing around the yard. She is amazing at "going to bed" in her crate. Roxy goes on walks two times a day with her foster mom. She tandem walks well with her foster siblings too! Her favorite toy is her hot pink dinosaur stuffy, she wont destroy it at all! If her foster siblings are playing she wont try to steal either. We believe this girl could fit in with a pack or be perfectly content being your one and only pretty princess. As far as manners go, this girl has plenty. She will not get on the couch unless shes invited, even though she loves it. HEr foster mom says she is "absolute love" and just aims to please. Meet River Skye 🌊 a two-year-old rescue mystery (possibly German Shepherd/Lab, possibly a whimsical forest creature) who is equal parts calm, cute, and completely enchanting. First, we must discuss the teefers. River Skye’s adorable little underbite means her tiny teeth are always peeking out, giving her the sweetest, slightly goofy smile that could melt even the coldest heart. Add in her stunning golden eyes and perfectly floppy, mismatched ears, and she’s an absolute showstopper. She’s the kind of dog people stop mid-sentence to admire. At home, River Skye is a total angel baby. Her fosters describe her as calm, easygoing, and wonderfully relaxed. She loves long naps, cozy lounging, and being near her people, she’s not demanding, just happily existing by your side. She’s crate trained, settles beautifully, and is an excellent car rider who sleeps through the entire ride, making her an ideal adventure buddy for errands, road trips, and low-key outings. She loves playing with other dogs and especially enjoys romping with her foster siblings, including her best friend, a big ol’ Great Pyrenees. Her play style is goofy and animated, complete with adorable grumbles and funny little noises that turn playtime into pure entertainment. She’s treat-motivated, enjoys learning, and her foster family is helping her polish her leash skills at her own thoughtful pace. River Skye currently lives with cats in her foster home and has done well. She is respectful and calm with them, though once she’s comfortable she may show a little playful curiosity. Because of this, calm, avoidant, or dog-savvy cats would be the best match for her. She also passed a cat test with another house cat, where they exchanged polite sniffs and then went about their business. To make sure everyone is happy, we’d love to do an in-home or overnight cat trial for any potential feline siblings. River Skye absolutely adores her people. She’s affectionate, loyal, and deeply bonded to her humans. She can be perfectly happy as an only pup soaking up all the love, or she’d enjoy having a dog friend to nap and play with. As a final note, River Skye does appreciate a little extra time to decompress when settling into a new environment. Once things feel calm and predictable, she truly thrives. With a face like that, you saw it, and a name like Raja, I'm pretty sure he was supposed to guard a royal castle but instead he took a few clown classes and caught the first bus pointed somewhere fun. He may have the looks for it but this big ol’ boy was not born for the “guard-dog” life. Unless its guarding you from the windshield wipers in the car- that is a mission he is deeeeply dedicated to. Raja is actually a gentle, prayerful soul whose greatest mission in life is loving his people deeply and, again, protecting them from those unpredictable and suspiciously energetic windshield wipers. He rides beautifully in the car- though he does expect that most trips will start (or end) in a pup cup or a kolache. (Honestly?Me too. And in his case, he is usually right. He has earned it afterall.)I will warn you now, Raja has a level of pretty privilege that defies explanation- drive-thru workers hand him snacks, on the house, and his local kolache spot sends his favorites at the first sight of his foster mom, even when he’s not present. Charisma like that cannot be taught, only appreciated and admired. In the car, Raja takes his role as protector seriously so lets go back to his life’s mission- protecting you from the windshield wipers- those untrustworthy little demons. Rest assured, if they act up, Raja is on it. He dutifully sits in the passenger seat, head out the window, breeze flapping the ears and folds around, but never distracting him from the moment those wipers get to movin’. He knows how to give a subtle warning though, he starts low with a few barks so don’t worry, he doesn't escalate beyond the appropriate. Raja is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes. He can be bouncy and playful, but he has great dog manners and knows how to take breaks when playtime winds down. That said, he doesn’t need a canine companion to be happy. Give him a ball, a patch of grass, and a person to love, and he will be heart-full and set. Truly, this boy is one of the best self-entertainers you could meet (or watch for entertainment) and watching him happily amuse himself is pure joy. He does need a home with a yard (that grass patch matters), and he’s looking for a cat-free home. He once loved a stuffed toy shaped like a cat and, bless his heart, does not understand the difference between plush and pet (or so the lore goes.) Better safe than sorry, right? Raja is smart, affectionate, and deeply bonded to his people. He’s the kind of dog who will stand watch when needed and then curl up close, convinced his job is never really done as long as you’re nearby.
