Copper 3 year old German shepherd Belgian malinois mix Neutered Weight about 60lb Potty trained Crate trained His due claws were removed Had his rabies and parvo shot when he was 6 months and at 18 months he also had his other rabies shot Temperament he is extremely loyal. Very protective has fantastic abilities to learn and likes to be trained. He can sit, stay, lie down. Loves to play ball, loves being outside going for walks. Harness trained. Potty trained with doggy door. Crate trained. He has a problem with children they scare him and he becomes a bit aggressive. Doesn't like when they stare him in the eyes. He would be great with someone who doesn't have children and is very patient with him and wants a loyal protective companion. Amazing around other dogs and chases cats a bit but never hurt one.

Story
Meet Grover: Your Loyal, Larger-Than-Life Best Friend Are you looking for a dog with personality, heart, and a whole lot of potential? Meet Grover—a handsome Malinois mix who has been patiently waiting at Central Arizona Animal Rescue for two and a half years for someone to finally call his own. That’s far too long for a dog with so much love to give. When Grover first arrived, he was a leaner, smaller guy with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Life in a kennel hasn’t exactly suited his active nature, though. With limited exercise, a few too many treats, and long days of lounging, Grover has packed on some extra pounds. But don’t let that fool you—underneath that fluff is a dog who’s ready to get back into shape with the help of a committed adopter. He just needs someone willing to take him on daily walks, encourage active play, and keep him on a healthy routine. Grover is wonderful with people and truly enjoys human companionship. He craves attention and isn’t shy about seeking it out! In fact, he’s learned to use his size and weight to gently (or not-so-gently!) push his way into getting what he wants—whether that’s pets, treats, or your spot on the couch. Because of this, Grover will thrive best with an owner who can be confident and consistent, setting clear boundaries and sticking to them. He’s a smart boy who quickly picks up on whether you mean what you say, so a firm but loving approach will help him become the well-mannered companion he’s meant to be. Grover does get along with other dogs his size and can enjoy canine companionship—but there’s one important condition: no food around. Grover prefers not to share his meals or treats, so feeding time should be managed separately. With proper structure, he can do just fine in a home with another compatible dog. He already knows a few basic commands, which is a great start! However, Grover has a bit of a stubborn streak—he’ll follow through when he believes you’re serious, but if he thinks he can get away with ignoring you, he just might try. This makes him a great candidate for continued training, which will not only strengthen your bond but also help him become more focused and obedient. With patience and consistency, Grover will shine. One of Grover’s favorite ways to beat the Arizona heat is splashing around in a water tub. He loves cooling off and isn’t above enjoying a good mud bath every now and then, so be prepared for a dog who embraces life with a little bit of mess and a lot of joy! Grover is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped—he’s completely ready to go home. What he needs now is someone willing to see past the extra pounds and occasional stubbornness to recognize the loyal, loving companion waiting underneath. If you have experience with strong, intelligent dogs—or are ready to step up and provide the structure and care he needs—Grover could be your perfect match. He’s been overlooked for far too long, but the right home could change everything for him. Give Grover the second chance he deserves. Dirt is the dirtiest girl! She is a very sweet girl but just can't help but make a mess. That being tearing something up, getting into the litter box or just rolling in her own filth. We clean her frequently but she just gets dirty again, we also have been struggling to give her the time and attention she needs. She is very playful, cannot sit still but will love you endlessly. She truly is a great dog for someone who has the ability to take her out more and give her more

Story
Argos is a purebred malinois. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old, I got him from a breeder. He is a sweet dog, loves to play fetch and be outside. He is very smart and loves to learn new tricks. He is in perfect physical health and still has thr energy and physical needs of a much younger dog. Unfortunately, I am gone 13+ hours daily with my schedule and have a toddler and another baby on the way, which takes away my ability to give him the home environment he needs. His ideal home would be somewhere with a large yard/outdoor space and with adults only or with older kids (10+) that have a active lifestyle due to his energy levels.(He moves a little too quickly for younger/little kids). He would thrive as a single pet.He is dog selective, does not get along with all dogs, only some. He is not good with cats.
