Story
Hi… I’m KK. And I’ve been waiting for you. I may look like a strong, confident Belgian Malinois—and I am—but my story didn’t start the way it should have. Not long ago, I was found in a broken-down car on the side of the road. The windows were rolled up, and I wasn’t alone. I had three tiny puppies with me… my babies. I didn’t know where my human went, and I didn’t know why we were left there. All I knew was that I had to protect them. I was scared, tired, and fiercely determined to keep my puppies safe. When people came close, I didn’t understand their intentions, so I made it very clear: no one was getting near my babies. It took time—and patience—for the right people to safely help us. But eventually, they did. They got us out of that car and into safety. We were taken to animal control, and from there, I was given something I hadn’t had in a long time—a chance. Central Arizona Animal Rescue welcomed me and gave me a quiet, safe place to raise my puppies. I got to be a mom the way I was meant to be. And I did it. I raised them, protected them, and watched them grow strong. One by one, they each found their forever homes. Now… it’s my turn. I’m about a year and a half old—still just a young girl, really. I’ve been spayed (so no more puppies for me), I’m fully vaccinated, and I even have a microchip to help make sure I never get lost again. I’m ready to go home today. But I want to be honest with you. I’m a Belgian Malinois, and that means I have a LOT of energy. My body wants to move, my brain wants to work, and my heart wants to connect—but I never really learned how. No one ever taught me how to play ball, or what toys are, or how to channel all this energy into something fun. I want to interact with people… I just don’t quite know how yet. With patience, training, and love, I know I can learn. I want to learn. Right now, I share a kennel with a male dog my size, and we get along well. But little animals? Cats? Tiny dogs? I’m not sure about them, and my breed tends to have a strong prey drive. It’s safest if I go to a home with dogs around my size. And kids? I don’t mean to be too much—I just am too much right now. I’m still learning how to control my excitement, so I need a home without small children for the time being. What I truly need is someone experienced—someone who understands high-energy dogs like me and is willing to guide me, train me, and give me structure. In return, I’ll give you loyalty, intelligence, and a bond like no other. I’ve survived uncertainty. I’ve raised my babies. I’ve proven I’m strong. Now I’m ready to learn how to be yours. If you think you might be the one who can give me the life I’ve been waiting for, please reach out. I’m here, waiting, hopeful, and ready to begin again. Email Mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment and come meet me. Love, KK   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Potty trained with doggy door. Crate trained. He has a problem with children they scare him and he becomes a bit aggressive. Doesn't like when they stare him in the eyes. Story
Whimsy is a beautiful little girl that loves people and other pups. She is about 4 months now and has blossomed after coming into rescue. She has learned that she loves to swim and play around the pool. She is crate trained, mostly house trained and is beginning leash training to go out in the community. Whimsey is a perfect size, not too big or too all. She would make a wonderful companion for her forever family.

Story
✨ Meet Rhea ✨ Rhea is an 8-year-old sweetheart with the softest soul. She’s kennel trained, loves to cuddle, and is happiest when she’s relaxing by your side. 💕 She does have a little sassy side (adds to her charm 😉), but overall she’s very laid back and easygoing. Rhea is great with kids, though she can get a bit nervous in busy, high-energy environments. Because of that, she would thrive best in a calm home—ideally as the only dog—with a quieter household, like an older couple looking for a loving companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal cuddle buddy, Rhea might just be your perfect match. (602) 999-7256 free to good home but application and home check required

Story
🌾🐾 Rye is the kind of dog who makes you want to lace up your hiking boots and head straight out the door. 🐾🌾Rye is a Shepherd Malinois mix, approximately five to six years old, and she is one of those dogs who is just genuinely good at being a dog. Good with dogs of all sizes. Good with cats, actually does not even bother to look at them. Good with kids of all ages and friendly with everyone she meets. Loving, social, and the kind of presence that makes a home feel warmer just by being in it. 🥹💛She walks beautifully on leash, knows sit and stay, and her absolute love language is a good chew toy or bone. Give her something to work on and she is a happy girl. She is not a city dog or a couch dog. She is a get outside, go on adventures, bring me everywhere kind of dog, and she is looking for a person who feels exactly the same way. 🥾🌿A couple of things worth knowing. Rye does not love loud noises, so a quieter environment will help her feel her most settled and confident. She also gets so excited sometimes that she has accidents, which is just her joy spilling over and something manageable with patience and a good routine. She is not a fan of being alone for long stretches, so she truly thrives when her person is home often and includes her in daily life as much as possible. No doggy door experience yet, but with the right home and a little consistency she will get there.Rye is not looking for a casual relationship. She wants her person, her adventures, her walks, and her place by your side as much as humanly possible. If you are someone who lives outdoors, loves to move, and wants a loyal and loving companion to bring along for all of it, Rye has been waiting for exactly you. 🌾🐶💛Apply to adopt Rye below and go on every adventure together. 🐾✨Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/DogFoster App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/LCDR/Dog
