Story
We adopted this little guy a month ago from the Maricopa County Animal Shelter. We already have two senior Belgian Malinois so we thought it would be a good fit but even after decompression and weeks of bonding, we have concluded that HE NEEDS TO BE IN A SINGLE DOG HOME. He's very sweet and affectionate but is also very jealous and protective when there are other dogs present. He has made multiple attempts to attack one of my senior dogs whenever she comes near me. While we love him and think he is an absolutely wonderful dog in every other regard, keeping him would pose a great risk to our senior dogs that we're not willing to take. We also can't afford the 2-4k we were quoted to work with a professional behavioral specialist. He's healthy, potty trained, loves food and walks and naps in his "man cave" (large 48x30 kennel that we've padded and filled with blankets). Other than the aggression, he's the easiest Mali we've ever met. Not destructive. Rarely even barks.

Story
Hi, I’m Grover, a friendly and fun-loving Malinois mix boy who is looking for a new home. I don’t remember much about my past, but I know I was a stray in Yuma, Arizona until some nice people from animal control found me and took me to a shelter. There, I met some other dogs and humans who were very kind to me. They even arranged for me to get a ride to Phoenix, where I am now staying with the Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They are taking good care of me, but I really want to find a family who will love me forever. I am a neutered male, about 1 year old, and I have been vaccinated and microchippedI love playing with toys, especially squeaky ones, and I enjoy running around and having fun. I have lots of energy to burn off! I am very friendly and get along well with people and other dogs. I am not aggressive or possessive, and I don’t bark too much. I am also very smart and eager to learn new things. I am working on my leash skills and manners, but I need some more practice and guidance. I am looking for a home where I can be part of the family and get lots of love and attention. I would love to have a yard where I can run and play, or at least go for regular walks. I would also like to have some toys to keep me entertained and happy. I don’t mind if you have other pets, as long as they are friendly too. I just want to be your loyal companion and best friend. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Story
If you are looking for a safe, family friendly puppy to grow with your family, Twilight is the perfect match. Twilight was a stray dog in Phoenix that was rescued by teachers at a school after following kids at a cross walk into the campus. We weren't able to find owners. She is very friendly with young kids and dogs and would do well with cats due to her young age. She is about 6-8 months old and is the smartest and most trainable foster I've had in years. She learned the doggie door after showing her 1 time and was completely potty trained quickly with treat rewards. Very fast learner compared to all other puppies I've fostered (all time record honestly). She is very food motivated which makes training a lot easier. Another perk is that I notice minimal shedding from Twilight compared to my other two dogs. I'm sure she is shedding some hairs, but nothing compared to GSD shedding for example. Great with my 8 year old daughter and special needs son. Is fostered with a GSD and Chow mix. Expected weight can be 50-65 pounds. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready for adoption. She loves walks but we are still working on the leash training. Very playful with all dogs big and small she meets. She was pretty nervous around my 85 pound shepherd at first, but now they play on and off all day. She loves to cuddle and lay on her humans and the kids in the bed. We don't allow her to be on the sofa, but she is allowed on beds in our foster home. She is crated when we aren't home and at first wasn't a fan, but is adjusting. She loves toys and naps throughout the day. She is really the best puppy I've ever had temperament wise. She welcomes all friends and neighbors into the home and is just a big love. When she is adopted we will provide a dog bed with our scent and some familiar toys so she adjusts, but she is the type that will happily transfer homes without hesitation. She is just a happy girl all around as long as she is getting love. Let me know if you are interested in meeting her or have any questions. Her adoption fee is $375. Thanks! Story
My friends dog got an accidental pregnancy and I saved my pups life that’s why I took her in, I’m moving and need her to go to a good home, stays on leash in the house has had proper training but needs more. I’m looking for someone active that can keep up with her energy. She 1 year and a half I’ve had her since she was a baby. She LOVES hiking and I want her to continue being a hike/active pup. She wants to be a lap dog and she is so lovable but she is hyper. She needs someone that is committed to giving her the physical and mental activity that she needs. Please

Story
I saved Oakley from the shelter. He was shy and reserved which is why he was getting overlooked. Once I got him home he is a lovable goofball! I just can’t get him to accept my cats. I sent him to a trainer and it’s still not working. He would be best in a home with no kids or cats. He is ok with other dogs.
