Story
I met Onyx in January of this year. I had my front and back doors open one morning while was cleaning. He walked right in. I had never seen him before. My neighbor let me know that he saw him early that morning and looked like someone in a car was trying to pick him up or drop him off. I kept him while looking for a home for him but after a few more months of getting to know him I ended up keeping him. Me and my kids love Onyx. I’m looking for someone to foster (not adopt) Onyx for 1 year. If you’re in a position for foster a dog, please reach out.

Story
Hi there! My name is Abram, and I’m a 1 ½&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Malinois mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I’ve been on quite the journey already, and now I’m ready to tell you my story in hopes that you might be the one to give me my forever home. My Journey So Far Back in April 2025, I found myself at the Yuma Humane Society. I was just a young pup then, full of energy and hope. I waited day after day, month after month, for someone to notice me. I tried my best to be cheerful, wagging my tail at every visitor, but somehow I kept being overlooked. Seven months went by, and I became one of the longest residents there. Things weren’t looking good, but I never gave up hope. Then, in November 2025, my luck changed! I got a ride to Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and wow—what a difference. Suddenly, I had new friends, new caretakers, and even a girlfriend! Yep, I share my kennel with a sweet pup, and we play all the time. Life feels brighter now, but I know the best part of my story hasn’t happened yet: finding my forever family. What You Should Know About Me I’m current on all my vaccinations, so I’m healthy and ready to go. I’ve been microchipped, so you’ll never lose track of me. I’ve been neutered, which means I’m all set for a responsible future. I absolutely love people—meeting new friends makes me so excited that I sometimes wiggle all over! I’m not sure how I feel about cats (I don’t even know if I’ve ever met one), so that’s a mystery we’ll have to solve together. I don’t know if I’ve ever lived in a house before, so I’ll probably need a little training in that department. But hey, I’m smart and eager to learn! I could use a refresher on my leash manners. I just get so thrilled to be outside that I sometimes forget to walk politely. With patience and practice, I’ll get the hang of it. What I’m Looking For Honestly, I don’t need much. A few toys to chew on, a comfy spot to sleep, and—most importantly—a family that loves me. That’s all I want. I dream of running around in a yard, cuddling on the couch, and being part of your everyday life. I want to be the dog who greets you at the door, who makes you laugh with my goofy antics, and who comforts you when you’ve had a tough day. I may have had a rough start, but I believe my future is bright. Every wag of my tail, every sparkle in my eyes, is me saying: “I’m ready for you. Are you ready for me?” Why You Should Choose Me There are lots of dogs out there, but I promise I’m special. I’ve already proven that I’m resilient, patient, and full of love. I waited seven months at the shelter without losing hope, and now I’m thriving at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Imagine what I could do with a family of my own! I’ll be loyal, playful, and endlessly grateful. I’ll make you laugh when I zoom around the yard, and I’ll melt your heart when I curl up beside you. I’ll be your adventure buddy, your cuddle partner, and your best friend. How to Meet Me If you think we might be a match, I’d love to meet you! Please email mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. Come spend some time with me—you’ll see how much joy I can bring into your life. My Promise I may be just a dog, but I promise to give you something priceless: unconditional love. I’ll be there for you every single day, through good times and bad. All I ask in return is a chance—a chance to be part of your family, to be your forever friend. So, what do you say? Let’s start our story together. I’m Abram, and I’m waiting for you.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hi, I’m Grover, a friendly and fun-loving Malinois mix boy who is looking for a new home. I don’t remember much about my past, but I know I was a stray in Yuma, Arizona until some nice people from animal control found me and took me to a shelter. There, I met some other dogs and humans who were very kind to me. They even arranged for me to get a ride to Phoenix, where I am now staying with the Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They are taking good care of me, but I really want to find a family who will love me forever. I am a neutered male, about 1 year old, and I have been vaccinated and microchippedI love playing with toys, especially squeaky ones, and I enjoy running around and having fun. I have lots of energy to burn off! I am very friendly and get along well with people and other dogs. I am not aggressive or possessive, and I don’t bark too much. I am also very smart and eager to learn new things. I am working on my leash skills and manners, but I need some more practice and guidance. I am looking for a home where I can be part of the family and get lots of love and attention. I would love to have a yard where I can run and play, or at least go for regular walks. I would also like to have some toys to keep me entertained and happy. I don’t mind if you have other pets, as long as they are friendly too. I just want to be your loyal companion and best friend. Story
Mona is sweet, petite, and absolutely loves to be with her humans. She is an old soul who enjoys hanging out, going for walks or hikes, playing fetch or Frisbee. Mona is stunning and is the whole, entire package for moderately active people who want an easy, fun companion. Mona is very good on "pack" walks with other leashed dogs, but she wants to be the centerpiece of her new home. She absolutely loves her crate and is prefers relaxing there to being left free-range/home alone. At a slim 40-ish pounds, Mona is the perfect size. She takes treats very gently, and loves to give paw and be cuddled.  Please view Mona's candid photos and video on our Instagram @betterdaysrescue  If you believe you're a possible match based on the detailed profile posted on our website,  please complete our online adoption application. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling a home check - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. Thank you! November 3, 2025, 5:26 pm

Story
Hello, this is Brixton. He is an amazing, super loving and big cuddler young dog. He is under 2 years with his birthday in November. He is super good with our 1yr old son and our Aussie Shepard and all people. He loves giving kisses and cuddling up on the couch. Unfortunately we have ran into an issue. A wild thing happened after a walk where Brixton’s collar and our oldest dogs collars got caught which led into a big fight. Unfortunately our big girl we have had for 5 years can no longer be around Brixton and it has put us in the situation to keep them separated all the time with our middle dog being the dog both can be with. Unfortunately with our young son and another baby due in October we can’t have a fight happen due to our old girls attitude with Brixton & we don’t think it’s fair to keep him separated he deserves to be free to roam the house and have fun because he is a great and loving dog. We are incredibly sad to let him go but are looking for a very loving and active home

Story
Milla is a 6-year-old, registered AKC, spayed female German Shepherd. Shes a beautiful bicolor, with medium-long hair and a medium build. Shes very sweet and affectionate & she loves to cuddle while I work from home, and shes happiest going on adventures like camping, car rides, and swimming (shes a water lover!). Shes fully e-collar trained and knows commands like recall, sit, down, leave it, come, house, and outside potty. Shes healthy, has no medical issues, and is on Royal Canin food. Milla is dog-aversive and reactive to other dogs or animals on TV, but weve managed it well with consistent training. Shes never broken skin or injured another dog. However, she absolutely does not get along with our other female dog, and weve been using a crate-and-rotate system for the past three years. Its not a sustainable setup anymore, and she deserves more stability and space to thrive. She would do best as the only dog in a home with someone who can give her love, attention and structure.
