Story
Hi, I’m Marsh—a stunning 4-year-old Malinois with the looks, brains, and personality to match. I’m friendly, social, and full of heart. People who meet me are always shocked I'm still available. I mean... have you seen me? Have you met me? I love being around people and making new friends—I’m the kind of dog who turns heads and wins hearts at coffee shops and breweries (yes, I go places!). My manners? Impeccable. My vibe? Confident and affectionate. My training skills? Sharp—I pick up on new things fast and truly enjoy learning. Honestly, I’m kind of a catch. I'm not sure about the little humans as I've not been around them much but I do ignore them when passing. I'm a pretty friendly girl and true to my breed, I can be a little mouthy at times so maybe a home without really young kids would be best, at least to start.  Now, I am a Malinois, but I’m not one of those turbo-charged working dogs who need to scale mountains every morning. I’m active and up for adventures, but I also love to chill with my people and soak up the love. I’m basically your ideal “let’s go hike and then nap” buddy. I’m even fine hanging out in a crate when needed and ride great in the car. One of my favorite things to do is RUN and I'm super duper fast. I get to run with the 'quad' sometimes and man is that ever fun. Are you a jogger maybe?  I get along well with neutral or confident, easy going dogs. I do have a little side-eye radar—if another dog gives me sass, I might sass back, but I’ve been working hard on this and making awesome progress. I walk beautifully on leash (get ready for compliments), love outings, and I’m healthy and ready to roll. And yes—I’ve been told I’m sooo pretty more times than I can count. Total head-turner here. One thing: I’d prefer a home without cats. I’m more of a “dog and human” kind of girl. I may be able to live with another calm, easy going dog that doesn't get pushy or bossy. I'm ok when left alone but everyone prefer to have a little company.  So why am I still waiting? Maybe because people assume Malinois are too much—but I’m the perfect balance. Social, sweet, smart, and totally manageable with the right structure and love. I just need someone to see me for the gem I am. Come meet me in Santa Rosa—I promise I’ll make it worth the trip. ##2249899##

Story
Romulus — The Athletic Adventurer with a Heart of Gold! Romulus and his brother Remus were abandoned together in Richmond, CA. Now thriving in Rodeo, CA, Romulus is healthy, happy, and ready for his next adventure — with a forever family of his own. At about 1 year old and 58 lbs, Romulus is sleek, strong, and striking. He’s a Belgian Malinois mix, with a solid black coat that shines in the sun, soft brown socks, a white chest, and upright ears that give him a confident, alert look. Romulus is incredibly athletic and intelligent — the kind of dog who loves having a job or activity. He’d be an amazing partner for a trail runner, hiker, or mountain biker who wants a loyal, energetic sidekick. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and friendly with other dogs (still a puppy his play style can be but friendly). He’s treat-motivated and eager to learn. When it’s time to relax, Romulus enjoys rock and roll music (he’ll even tolerate a little country) and loves good food — chicken, duck, and salmon are his favorites. Romulus is ready to find a home that matches his energy, intelligence, and loyalty — a forever friend who’s up for adventure and love in equal measure. Romulus would benefit from having a another dog in the household who he can play with!

Story
Remus — The Gentle Giant with a Loyal Heart ❤️ Remus was abandoned in late May in a commercial area of Richmond, CA. After being safely rescued and brought into care, he's been thriving ever since in foster in Rodeo, CA. Now about 1 year old and weighing around 70 lbs, Remus is a Belgian Malinois mix. He has a beautiful brindle coat, black face, and black socks that make him truly one of a kind. Remus has the intelligence and attentiveness of a Malinois. He’s treat-motivated, eager to learn, and loves to please. His gentle spirit and loyalty make him the kind of companion who bonds deeply and stands by your side through everything. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and friendly with other dogs, though he and his brother like to play a little rough sometimes. Remus loves chicken, duck, and especially salmon, and even enjoys music — rock and roll is his favorite, though he’ll accept a little country now and then. Remus would thrive in a home that offers consistency, love, and the chance to keep learning. He’s ready to give his whole heart to his forever person. He would also benefit from having another dog in the home who’s similar in size to play with!

He's had a tough start in life and is still learning to trust, but his progress has been amazing. While he's very shy with touch and startles easily, Boris shows affection in his own gentle way-by resting near you, giving soft kisses, and seeking quiet companionship. He's food-motivated, crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "come." He loves soft blankets, chew toys, and playing with other dogs, especially with his foster brother Charlie. While he also lives with a foster brother cat, he may need some training and work to coexist with any resident felines. Though he has some physical challenges-likely due to genetics or past trauma-he's gaining strength and confidence every day.Boris needs a patient, loving home that will let him open up at his own pace. If you have a calm environment and a big heart, Boris could be the perfect fit. He may take time, but the love you'll earn from him is truly one of a kind.Boris is currently in foster.Boris's adoption fee is $275.
