Story
Rome and his brother were found together after being abandoned in Richmond, CA, but thankfully their story took a happy turn. Now thriving in foster care in Rodeo, CA, Rome is healthy, confident, and ready to start his next chapter with a forever family. Rome is about 1 year old and weighs around 58 pounds. He’s a Belgian Malinois mix with a sleek black coat that gleams in the sun, soft brown socks, a little white on his chest, and expressive upright ears that are always tuned in to what’s happening around him. He’s handsome for sure — but it’s his personality that really shines. Rome is smart, athletic, and full of joyful energy. He loves being active and would be a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, or outdoor adventures. That said, he’s not all go-go-go — he also knows how to settle and enjoy downtime with his people. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and friendly with other dogs. Like many young pups, his play style can be enthusiastic, but it’s all in good fun. Rome is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, making him a joy to train and bond with. At home, Rome enjoys good food (chicken, duck, and salmon are top-tier in his book) and even appreciates some background music — rock and roll is his favorite, though he’s willing to humor a little country now and then 😉 He’d love a home with another dog to play with, especially one who can match his energy. Rome is looking for a family who’s ready for adventure, laughter, and lots of love. In return, he’ll be a loyal, fun-loving companion who brings heart, happiness, and plenty of tail wags into your life.

Story
Remy’s journey hasn’t always been easy. He was found abandoned in late May in a commercial area of Richmond, CA, but once he was rescued and brought into foster care in Rodeo, everything started to turn around. Since then, he’s been blossoming into the happy, loving dog he was always meant to be. Remy is about 1 year old and around 70 pounds — a Belgian Malinois mix with a stunning brindle coat, a handsome black face, and adorable black socks. He’s a big boy, but don’t let his size fool you… he’s truly a gentle soul. Smart, attentive, and eager to please, Remy loves learning new things (especially if treats are involved!). He’s crate trained, housebroken, and does well with other dogs. He especially enjoys having a canine buddy to romp around with — someone close to his size who can match his playful energy. At home, Remy is affectionate and loyal, the kind of dog who wants to be near his people and soak up all the love. He’s a big fan of chicken, duck, and especially salmon — and yes, he even enjoys music. Rock and roll is his favorite, but he’s open-minded enough to tolerate a little country too 😉 Remy would do best in a home that offers consistency, kindness, and a bit of structure — plus plenty of love. In return, he’ll give you his whole heart, his goofy charm, and a lifelong best friend.

Prairie has been through more than any dog should. She was abandoned at Lake Berryessa and survived on her own for several weeks before finally being brought to safety, yet her heart remains incredibly gentle. Prairie absolutely adores other dogs and truly blossoms in their presence, so she would do best with a confident canine companion to help her continue building trust. She's looking for a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and can give her the space to decompress. Once she feels safe, her sweet, loving personality really begins to shine. With consistency, kindness, and a furry best friend by her side, Prairie will make a deeply devoted companion. Story
Valiant was found roaming near Lake Berryessa for several weeks after being dumped with his siblings. He is a very sweet, docile boy who is still scared of the world and needs a patient, loving home that can offer him safety and reassurance as he builds confidence. Valiant truly thrives around other dogs, and his personality comes alive during playtime. He would likely do best in a home with another dog to help guide him and show him that people and the world can be safe. With time, patience, and a calm environment, Valiant has so much potential to blossom into a loving companion. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 46 Age: 0yrs 9mths 3wks

Story
Hey guys, my name is Chomper, I have a unique name because I have a unique mouth. As you can see, I need a little bit of special love and attention when I first got rescued. But I got everything that I needed and now I am moving onto bigger and better things! The biggest news I have is I joined the training program and I am learning to be an awesome dog. I get to show off my skills all the time, and I learn faster than my trainer can teach me, in fact, I learned so fast that it takes three trainers to work with me because they can’t keep up with how smart I am. I really do want to find a forever family and I’m hoping that maybe my unique personality and unique look about me will capture somebody’s attention. Hopefully sooner than later, because Man the older I get the more and more that couch looks really comfy just to snooze on. so keep me in the back of your mind and maybe one day you’ll help me find my family or maybe my family will be you.

Story
Meet Max, a resilient parvo survivor and an incredible example of what second chances can create. Max overcame parvovirus as a young rescue dog and emerged stronger, healthier, and ready to thrive in a loving home. His journey is a testament to his determination, gentle spirit, and love for life. Now fully recovered, Max is a happy, affectionate dog who enjoys human connection and structure. He is currently participating in AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC)–based training, where he is building strong foundational skills such as polite leash walking, basic obedience, impulse control, and confidence in everyday environments. This training helps set Max up for long-term success as a well-mannered family companion. Max does best with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement. He loves learning, bonds deeply with his people, and enjoys being part of daily life—whether that means walks, quiet time at home, or simply being nearby. Parvo survivor dogs like Max often develop a strong sense of connection with their adopters, and Max is no exception. Adopting Max means welcoming a rescue dog who has already overcome so much and is continuing to grow through AKC/CGC training. He is ready for a forever family that values training, patience, and unconditional love. If you’re looking to adopt a trained rescue dog, support a parvo survivor, and add a loyal companion to your family, Max is ready to meet you.

Story
Hey guys, yes I’m Gus Gus like from Cinderella and I will say like Gus Gus I am the favorite in my training program. If you want to pick me you need to know my ears are like my antenna and I can dial into any sound and smell from clear across the yard. My trainer and I have such a great relationship and he tells me that when you guys find me I will love you guys even more than I love him, I told him that’s hard to believe but its exciting if it’s true. As a Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix I have a very unique personality the biggest thing you have to know about me is how deeply I love my person, I work hard on controlling all the love I have for my people so I want you to know that I will love you so deeply and be excited every time you come home. You will never have a pup more loyal than me.
