She was abandoned at Lake Berryessa and survived on her own for several weeks before finally being brought to safety, yet her heart remains incredibly gentle. Prairie absolutely adores other dogs and truly blossoms in their presence, so she would do best with a confident canine companion to help her continue building trust. She's looking for a calm, quiet home with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time and can give her the space to decompress. Once she feels safe, her sweet, loving personality really begins to shine. With consistency, kindness, and a furry best friend by her side, Prairie will make a deeply devoted companion.  The Napa County Shelter Erika Gamez Shelter Manager  942 Hartle Court  Napa, CA  94558  Main Phone: 707-253-4382  Main Fax: 707-253-6191  Kelly Tracey, Shelter Supervisor  ktracey@co.napa.ca.usMarch 11, 2026, 10:44 pm

While he's very shy with touch and startles easily, Boris shows affection in his own gentle way-by resting near you, giving soft kisses, and seeking quiet companionship. He's food-motivated, crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "come." He loves soft blankets, chew toys, and playing with other dogs, especially with his foster brother Charlie. While he also lives with a foster brother cat, he may need some training and work to coexist with any resident felines. Story
Hi, I'm the fun-sized dog you've been looking for! At just over 1 year old and around 50 pounds, I am very handsome, smart and in search of fun!  If your idea of a good day includes walks, runs, hikes, fetch, or just finding new adventures together, I think we're going to get along great. I've learned a lot about living in a home over the past few weeks (didn't I say I was smart?).  I am also a great student because I actually like listening (especially if snacks are involved). I'm potty trained and know that outside is the place to do my business. I'm also crate trained, sleep quietly through the night, and am working hard on polishing my house manners every day. I LOVE toys. I LOVE chewing on bones. I LOVE playing with other dogs. Notice a pattern? If it involves fun, I'm all in!  I also like my naps especially after my breakfast and some of that fun.  I'd be thrilled to have a playful dog sibling to wrestle and zoom around with, but I'm happy being your one-and-only adventure buddy too. I just love to get in the car and go. If I see your back hatch open, I'll jump right in the SUV to go!  People are pretty awesome, if you ask me. I'm friendly, enjoy meeting new friends, and even impressed everyone at the vet by being cooperative and letting them handle me without a fuss. I am VERY affectionate! That's pretty good for a young guy who's still figuring out the world! I've got brains, energy, and plenty of enthusiasm. I'm looking for an active home that will keep both my mind and body busy. In return, I'll give you endless laughs, loyal companionship, and a partner who's always ready for the next adventure. So... where are we going first? You like this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic.  Our adoption team will quickly contact you by phone or email (watch your spam please) to see if it's a match! If you are already approved to adopt, please contact your Adoption Counselor and they will help you set up a meeting.  You can also sponsor Rory by clicking here. Your name will appear on this page as Roy's sponsor and your donation will help pay for food, treats, toys, supplements and medical expenses. Roy thanks you! BAGSR is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. BAGSR covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide the love and a soft place to crash. https://petstablished.com/foster_form/42405/generic ##2776810##

Story
Meet Honey, one of those dogs who is beautiful from the inside out. From her deep inquisitive eyes and her luxurious brindle coat, to her affectionate loyalty and playful spirit, she will steal your heart in a second. Intelligent and athletic, Honey thrives with structure and adventure. She enjoys off-leash pack walks and is a joy to train. In foster care, she has shown that she is an excellent candidate for sport dog and more advanced training. She is also devoted to her person. While she does love and revere her humans, Honey also loves the company of other dogs. Her perfect housemate would be a large playful adult male who wants to chase and wrestle with her. She does well with all small dogs too. Honey is crate-trained and prefers a cozy crate, covered and away from noise, where she can chew on a tasty treat. She does not destroy bedding, but is a strong chewer, so she needs something to keep her busy while she settles in. Honey is a healthy, spayed 2-3 year old 80lb Shepherd mix. She is crate-trained, has beautiful teeth and a gorgeous coat, knows basic commands (and learning more!), is food-motivated, does well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. She is currently on bladder support supplements because she tends to dribble when she is excited to see her people. It isn’t constant, and the supplements seem to help. Her prey drive is not strong. We believe she could learn to live with a cat. It is our strong preference that she live with another dog, but not a requirement. We recommend no small children and require secure fencing. If you are looking for your soulmate, please reach out. Honey is waiting for you! Email waggytaylor@gmail.com to set up a time to meet her. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.August 18, 2026, 9:44 pm

Story
Meet Cheyenne, a 3 to 4-year-old lovable and gentle spirit weighing around 45 lbs. This sweet, affectionate gal is a faithful cuddle buddy who will melt your heart. Rescued from the streets of Mexico, Cheyenne's story is one of resilience and trust—she followed her foster father home after he stopped to feed her. Fully house-trained, vaccinated, spayed, and chipped, she is ready to become a loving member of your family. Cheyenne’s laid-back temperament, low prey drive, and friendly nature make her perfect for families with children, other pets, and even cats. She loves cuddling and taking walks downtown to greet everyone, but she also enjoys her naps, chewies, and treats. Don’t miss the chance to give this incredible girl a forever home—she’s waiting to bring joy, love, and companionship into your life. Cheyenne is currently being fostered in Benicia, CA. Story
Hey guys, my name is Chomper, I have a unique name because I have a unique mouth. As you can see, I need a little bit of special love and attention when I first got rescued. But I got everything that I needed and now I am moving onto bigger and better things! The biggest news I have is I joined the training program and I am learning to be an awesome dog. I get to show off my skills all the time, and I learn faster than my trainer can teach me, in fact, I learned so fast that it takes three trainers to work with me because they can’t keep up with how smart I am. I really do want to find a forever family and I’m hoping that maybe my unique personality and unique look about me will capture somebody’s attention. Hopefully sooner than later, because Man the older I get the more and more that couch looks really comfy just to snooze on. so keep me in the back of your mind and maybe one day you’ll help me find my family or maybe my family will be you.

Story
Meet Max, a resilient parvo survivor and an incredible example of what second chances can create. Max overcame parvovirus as a young rescue dog and emerged stronger, healthier, and ready to thrive in a loving home. His journey is a testament to his determination, gentle spirit, and love for life. Now fully recovered, Max is a happy, affectionate dog who enjoys human connection and structure. He is currently participating in AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC)–based training, where he is building strong foundational skills such as polite leash walking, basic obedience, impulse control, and confidence in everyday environments. This training helps set Max up for long-term success as a well-mannered family companion. Max does best with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement. He loves learning, bonds deeply with his people, and enjoys being part of daily life—whether that means walks, quiet time at home, or simply being nearby. Parvo survivor dogs like Max often develop a strong sense of connection with their adopters, and Max is no exception. Adopting Max means welcoming a rescue dog who has already overcome so much and is continuing to grow through AKC/CGC training. He is ready for a forever family that values training, patience, and unconditional love. If you’re looking to adopt a trained rescue dog, support a parvo survivor, and add a loyal companion to your family, Max is ready to meet you.

Story
Hey guys, yes I’m Gus Gus like from Cinderella and I will say like Gus Gus I am the favorite in my training program. If you want to pick me you need to know my ears are like my antenna and I can dial into any sound and smell from clear across the yard. My trainer and I have such a great relationship and he tells me that when you guys find me I will love you guys even more than I love him, I told him that’s hard to believe but its exciting if it’s true. As a Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix I have a very unique personality the biggest thing you have to know about me is how deeply I love my person, I work hard on controlling all the love I have for my people so I want you to know that I will love you so deeply and be excited every time you come home. You will never have a pup more loyal than me.
