Story
Meet Charmed! This approximately 2.5-year-old Belgian Malinois mix has known far too much sadness for such a young dog. Originally from Oklahoma, her life has been filled with constant change—never given the chance to simply feel safe. Charmed flinches at things most dogs take for granted—not because she’s difficult, but because no one ever taught her the world could be kind. She is timid with new people and jumpy around loud noises but she has begun to make real progress in her foster home and starting to learn how to be a dog again (she secretly loves pets!). She's dog- and cat-friendly, house-trained, and is wonderful on a leash—perfect for walks, hikes, or runs! She hates being crated, but she doesn't need to be, and is respectful in the home. Charmed’s ideal home is quiet, patient, and with someone with experience with active breeds. A 6' fence (she's an escape artist so can't be left unattended), a playful canine companion to wrestle with, and a routine she can count on. What she needs most is someone who sees past the scared dog and see an intelligent sweet girl—and is willing to help her heal and provide gentle pets. She’s waiting for her final home in Windsor!

Story
Rocky is a wonderful 1 year old pup who’s as smart as he is loving. He is highly intelligent, eager to learn, and full of energy; the perfect companion for an active person. He has grown up with another dog and two young children, and he does great with both. Rocky is e-collar trained, knows his basic commands and is completely house broken. We love him dearly, but he needs more activity and mental stimulation than we are currently able to provide. He would do best with a family that has plenty of room for him to stretch his legs, ideally a home with land or a large yard and people who enjoy adventures as much as he does. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and energetic companion who will keep up with your hikes, runs, and daily fun, Rocky will be the perfect fit.

Story
Hi, I'm Zephyr. I'm about a year old Belgian Malinois. I was brought into the shelter system from a young age and have had a very sad start in life. I was taken in as a stray in NM after I likely had to fight for my life all for them to put me on the euth list. The Pet Association saved me and I made the journey here. I have never had a sense of security and have mostly ever only known fear. I will need someone very special in my life. I am still only a puppy and need lots of guidance. I would do well with an experienced owner, other pups to learn from, and someone with lots and lots of patience. I am a sweet boy and need a special person to show me what love is. Could that be you?

Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beautiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very small shepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainable.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided with  patience gentleness as she is young and often acts puppy-like. She is loving and cuddly. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at http://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com      March 30, 2025, 7:55 pm

Story
ADOPTION FEE: $300 Meet Isabella! This lovely lady was originally adopted from us in 2016, but has developed the need to be in a single dog home. She is looking for a nice, calm retirement home where she can relax and be the only pet in the house. From her foster: She is a lovely dog that loves fetch with her squeaky Kong. She is kennel trained. She also has a security blanket that she loves to suck on. Bella is very protective of her home and will bark when the doorbell is rung or when a knock is at the door. She will need to be the ONLY pet in the household. I am unsure of how she reacts to younger children. She does not care to have visitors in our home. It will take time for Bella to warm up to new people and would very much benefit from more training and structure in the home. We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Petco in Fort Collins (2211 S College Ave. STE 200, Fort Collins, CO 80525)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
**Meet Rajah: Your New Best Friend!** Rajah is a beautiful 7-year-old German Shepherd who is ready to steal your heart! This affectionate girl adores people, especially children, and will quickly become your loyal companion. Rajah is well-trained and listens attentively, making her a joy to be around.  While she loves her human friends, Rajah prefers to be the only pet in the household, as she doesn’t get along well with other animals. She has a strong personality and can get a bit territorial when it comes to her furry counterparts, but that just makes her unique! If you’re looking for a devoted companion who thrives on human interaction and can bring joy and loyalty into your life, Rajah is the perfect match. Give her a chance, and you’ll find an amazing friend by your side!   Rajah is part of our Keep Them Home program.June 9, 2025, 5:09 pm

Story
Meet Phoebe, a sweet and affectionate girl looking for a loving forever home! This adorable pup thrives on human attention and loves to be near her people. While she can be slightly wary around strangers at first, she quickly warms up when given a little patience, a few treats, or some gentle pets. At 4 years old, Phoebe is crate trained and knows basic commands, making her a well-behaved companion. She does experience anxiety, so she would thrive in a calm environment without other pets. Ideally, her new home would have older children who can respect her space, as unpredictable behaviors can make her feel anxious. Phoebe enjoys leisurely walks and is equally happy just hanging out on the couch, soaking up all the love and affection. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will appreciate your kindness and attention, Phoebe might be the perfect fit for you! Come meet her and see the wonderful bond you could share.   Phoebe is part of our Keep Them Home program.June 9, 2025, 5:09 pm
