Story
Stella is a parvo survivor!! This beautiful gal was surrendered to our rescue partner with parvo but has since beaten it and survived! She is the perfect example of why vaccines are so important - a simple and inexpensive vaccine could have prevented her from experiencing a horrible virus that could very well have taken her life. Now that she's recovered, Stella is ready to find her forever home! From her current foster: " Stella is the sweetest, smartest, and most loyal dog I have ever met in my entire life. She brings joy to everyday like I could've never imagined. I never thought it would be so easy to get attached to a pup so fast. I can say the same thing about her. It took her less than 1 hour to completely warm up to me and from that point on she could not let me out of her sight. Stella loves to play off leash. She enjoys the retrieval part of fetch but not the returning part (for sure something she can be taught). And of course she loves treats and toys. She is very food/treat motivated, and she loves to snuggle up close when it's time to be lazy (she wakes up when you wake up, I woke her up at 5am one morning and 11am the next, both times she was very compliant). She is for the most part potty trained, unless you wait until the last minute of her ability to hold her bladder. With that being said I have found that she gets anxious when trying to potty in busy or loud spaces, often resulting in a no result potty trip. If she is in a spacious, quiet, and calm area she will pee and poop instantly. She does extremely well with all kinds of people, all sizes of dogs, babies and cats. However she does not seem to like fast moving things. Cyclist's, skateboarders, or even people that are running almost always get aggressively barked at. She has a tendency to lightly bite/nip when she thinks it's time to play. Nothing painful but nonetheless, not a good habit. She is high energy but that is expected for a German of her age. She doesn't have a problem with her crate, she even sometimes will voluntarily hang out in there, however she does have a problem being alone. Her anxiety and verbal and physical responses sky rocket if you leave her in her crate unattended. Crate training I would say, is her biggest weakness. With all that said, Stella is genuinely the PERFECT dog. If my personal situation allowed I would be keeping her without a doubt. She's very shy at first, but once she warms up she will steal your heart. All she wants to do is cuddle and be next to you! She's also very smart and knows the command "sit already. we are working on leash training and potty training now." ADOPTION FEE: $500 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
Bodacious is a 4 year old, 80 pound, German Shepherd mix. He is an out going, loving, dog who loves long walks, belly rubs, playing catch, and going for the occasional swim. He loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed. He is the perfect partner for a person who likes to read in bed, watch TV, and has an active lifestyle. He likes to hike, go to the dog park, go for walks, and car trip adventures. He also enjoys chasing rabbits and squirrels but is working on not doing that. He does not get along with cats or small dogs so it is best if he is the only animal in the home. He hopes to find a home with a big backyard so that he can stretch his long legs.

Story
Hi, I am Erik. I am a sweet but shy pup looking for a home. I like to cuddle, explore and chew on bones. I can be fearful of new people and places so I need a home without young children so I can warm up quickly. I am afraid of other dogs so I need to be your only pup. I would love to have a chance to warm up and become a part of your family.

Story
He is a loving family boy. He is perfect with my 1 year old son and loves to play. But sadly our son has now had 2 sinus infections due to being allergic to Mo so far this year. And he is starting again for a third time. Mo-Town will be one year old on end of July. We got him from the Larimer Humane Society and he’s been a joy in the house. We can’t keep going through this with our son.

Story
Sunny is roughly 5 years old and was adopted from a shelter 2 years ago. She is an amazing girl with so much love to give but sadly I wont have the time for her in the upcoming months with me starting school. She is an amazing dog and I love her with my whole heart but I want to make sure her happiness is prioritized. She is reactive towards other dogs but has the ability to get better with time. A little about her - She loves the word biscuit and anytime she gets a biscuit! - She is eager to learn/love! - She is beyond intelligent and loving - She loves toys (especially blue ones) - She is a very quick learner! - She knows sit, stay, speak. Some requirements for her new home - MUST have a yard!! She is very energetic and needs space to get her zoomies out! - No small kids! She is impatient with children but would do fine with teens. Upon rehoming, she will come with a large kennel, toys, a coat, nail clippers, dog bed, lick mats, food bowls, harness, and a few other things!

Story
Hiro is a 45 lbs, 7 year old, German Shepherd mix that lost his home (along with his two canine siblings) when his family moved and didn’t take them. Since coming to CO, Hiro joined a fun foster family with other dogs and kiddos. He’s in heaven! Hiro is adjusting well, but we think he would appreciate a more mature home. He’s active and adventurous and will do well with an active home and a fenced in yard. He’s house and crate trained. Hiro enjoys playing with his canine foster siblings and snuggling on the couch with his foster moms. You can also find him sprawling across the bed in his best “paint me like a french girl” pose. Hiro is in foster in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/hiro. Story
Jam is a very special, 6 month old, male, German Shepherd/Pittie mix. This boy is already 60 lbs!!! He has the sweetest temperament and has been raised in a loving foster home since he was a wee little worm. Jam loves humans and he loves dog friends. He is house trained, crate trained, and well on a leash. He is adventure seeking, snuggle loving, and enjoys playtime! His foster mom says he’s the world’s best snuggler! Jam was born in a small, underfunded shelter in Texas. He came to CO with his mom and littermates at just a couple weeks old. When it came time to be adopted, it was discovered that Jam had a problem with the mitral valve in his heart. The specialists recommended he be rechecked when he was a bit older. So, Jam hung out in his foster home while he continued to grow (and grow and grow). On March 1st, Jam had a follow-up echocardiogram and it was discovered his heart issue had resolved!! We were thrilled. He does have a very mild case of Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia, but it is believed he will outgrow this, as well. He presently lives a normal life, takes no medications, and will just need a follow-up appt when he’s about a year old to see how his heart has grown. Jam is in foster in Englewood, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/jam You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
