Story
Currently being fostered in Inverness, FL Meet Queso Fresco, this ball of fun furry is quite stunning. She is your typical mouthy pup who likes to run and play until she crashes. With so much to see and smell at her foster farm home, every day is a learning experience. From meeting other dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and kids this little lady takes it all in stride. Although she is still growing, she definitely has a big personality and will need the right person who understands socialization, building confidence with positive reinforcement, and teaching her the proper behaviors to be an outstanding dog. As we don’t know exactly what she is a mix of and how big or small she will be full-grown, adopters will need to be open to the understanding of the unknown. She can be a little spicy when first meeting new dogs or if challenged and is in training to help her overcome these behaviors. Since she is a puppy as expected there is still work to be done but she is doing very well and crate trained, potty trained, still working on leash manners, etc. She is truly a gem and will be an absolutely amazing dog for the right home that is ready and willing to invest the time to help her development and build skills. If you would like to be considered for her forever home please submit your application today.

Story
❤️ Heidi Location: South FL (WPB Area) Heidi is currently being fostered and trained by a dog trainer. We are working on building weight, muscle, confidence, and overall structure. Up to date on vetting and preventative care. Spayed 4/16. Temperament Evaluation: Evaluated by foster/trainer. Heidi is affectionate, environmentally aware, high energy, social/friendly with people she’s met, clean/quiet in the kennel, potty trained, and shows typical Malinois traits including athletic, loyal, very intelligent, and high trainability. Extremely high toy drive, good possession. Will also play fetch. Moderate food drive (can be built but much rather work for her ball/tug) Overall super fun, driven, eager to learn, loves her people. Job/Sport Potential: Best suited for an active, structured home. Could enjoy sport foundations, obedience, detection-style games, hiking, or an outlet-heavy companion home. She does not need a sport home, but she absolutely needs a handler with Malinois knowledge and consistency willing to provide training and breed specific enrichment. She is not a couch potato. Training History: Currently working on basic obedience, impulse control, and improving cooperative play. As well as overall house manners and off switch. Ball-obsessed. Loves to tug. Will work for just about any toy. Has an OUT. Perfect in the crate and in the car. Will be off leash/e collar trained. Dog/Cat/Kid Notes: Good with male dogs but can be pesty, but will back off when told. Was informed dominant with female dogs but currently untested. Cats most likely not recommended. No young children recommended due to mouthiness and prey instinct. Heidi is the kind of dog that will excel with the perfect handler—she just needs direction, consistency, and an outlet. She is a fun, driven young dog with a lot of potential in the right hands.

Story
Jax is around 10 weeks old found as a stray. He was at shelter in arcadia for a week until the foster took him under her wing. The foster says he is so lovable with the Malinios drive combined but understands how to settle in his crate. He is quick to learn and wants to please. He loves playing with the fosters 1 1/2 boxer and is learning how to toughen up. He has a hint of heeler in him as he has those markings on his feet and tip of tail is white. The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and other needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Parrish, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

Story
Klaus is a young male Belgian Malinois with a nice, balanced (medium) drive. He loves to play tug, chase the flirt pole, and is currently learning fetch. He’s a great prospect for dog sports or an active home, and he truly enjoys working and spending time with his person. Klaus can be a little shy in new environments at first, but he adjusts quickly with a bit of time and support. In his foster home, he’s been dog-friendly with both large and small dogs, male and female, and has shown good impulse control around cats. He’s also on a journey to getting healthier with a consistent feeding schedule and routine care. Klaus is currently working through some potty training setbacks due to a possible UTI. He understands going outside but is still having occasional accidents as he works through it. Klaus would do best in a home that’s willing to continue building his confidence and give him an outlet for play and training. He’s a thoughtful, fun dog who’s ready to bond with his person and keep learning.

Story
Benny is a sweet, cuddly, loving boy currently decompressing in a foster home with a trainer in Port Charlotte after being at risk in an overcrowded shelter. He can be a little nervous at first, but is settling in nicely. He’s been around other dogs in the home and done okay but can be a little pushy, has been around a young toddler, knows sit, down, and paw. He does engage a ton with tug and fetch. Currently working on some impulse control.

Story
Sancho is an 8 year old Belgian Sheepdog. He grew up with another dog, cats, kids, and for a time rabbits. He is good with dogs, and loves humans. He is also a clown, and is purebred to champion parents who passed all health and hip checks pre breeding He moved with us from Alaska to Florida a year ago, and isn't enjoying it much. He much preferred laying in the snow to walking in 100 degrees, and is afraid of thunder. The house we ended up settling in has no yard, and I'm about to start traveling for work. He would do great in a home with a yard, and to be taken hiking in a cooler climate. He then wants to be inside with his family, as he has been a family dog since a pup. Being allowed on a couch would make him so happy! He also developed allergies here in Florida, so we've been giving him a shot for them every 6 weeks. He isn't toy motivated, but definitely treats. He will need to get a dental in the next few months, we usually do this once a year. Adopt fee is towards transport

Story
Bandit is an eight-year-old German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix who has been with my family since he was a puppy. Due to my job as a manager at a storage facility, we live on-site, and Bandit has had very limited socialization outside of our immediate family. The facility is currently being sold, and the new owners will only permit dogs under 50 pounds with current vaccinations. He suffers from extreme anxiety during veterinary visits, which has made it difficult to maintain his vaccination schedule. While he successfully completed a boarding and training program at age two, his lack of regular exposure to strangers has resulted in ongoing reactivity. Despite his fear-based reactivity toward strangers, Bandit has lived peacefully with my partner and three sons for his entire life and has never bitten anyone. He is desperately in need of a environment that can accommodate his size and provide the specialized care his anxiety requires.

Story
Ryder is the most loving big teddy bear. He is vocal, likes to talk a lot. Loves being outside and close by your side. He has anxiety and does not like to be left alone. We’ve noticed some behavioral changes, urinating in the house. He is currently staying with friends as we had to move out of our home and he couldn’t come with us. It saddens us to have to rehome our boy, but hope we can find someone who is willing to work with him and give him the best life!
