Although Meili may be shy initially when meeting strangers, she continues to make great progress especially when it is done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves taking walks in quiet places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. Meili is not interested in playing with dogs, but does fine walking with other mellow dogs and has participated successfully in a six week agility session with other leashed dogs. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great travel companion. She is very food motivated and has been learning the “wait” command as she anticipates that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will enjoy being close and lying by your side. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her. Story
Bootstrap is amazing full blooded Malinois 15 weeks old. He is the calmest and sweetest puppy I’ve ever seen. He’s a shadow that follows you and wants to snuggle all day. He’s in every way perfect. The issue is he wasn’t socialized as I was told. He was supposedly great with other dogs and he went off barking and growling when he met mine. He got over it pretty quickly so I didn’t think much of it. The issue is I have young kids and he’s very reactive to them. If they’re sitting he snuggles but if they walk around he barks and growls. He will run up to them and then calm down but I am not willing to risk him being scared with their movements and ending up hurting them. He has never bitten but it worries me. This is trainable with socialization but should be in an environment he’s not constantly triggered. The kids want to play with him and I can’t let them and it’s too much. I would 💯 keep him otherwise. Adopter needs a yard and only older kids.

He is a very goofy boy but he is very independent. He’s the kind of dog to lay on the opposite side of the living room instead of cuddling. He is slightly difficult to walk on a leash, but listens when you tell him to relax. He is slightly crate aggressive to anyone he doesn’t know or recognize. He will bark but has NEVER bitten or attacked anyone or any animal. He has only ever had any issues with another dog but it was an intact male and they only growled and barked but they’re now perfectly fine next to one another. He is the type of dog that will chug every drop of water that’s in front of him, including a pool or lake. He will also lay inside of a pool but won’t swim. He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, shake, and will stand between your legs if you tell him between. He has been around multiple children ranging from new born to early teens. Small children that are playing near him make him very protective and he gets a little anxious. If an adult is rough playing with a child he will bark and growl at the adult. He loves to run in a big open back yard but it needs to be fenced. He will dig and try to escape any chance he gets, he’s busy! He is SUCH a good boy and deserves a family that’s able to prioritize his needs.
