Peanut was returned to us because he takes protecting the home very seriously and will not allow strangers to enter the home. Peanut is a medium drive, high energy Malinois pup. He is extremely social and friendly with all dogs, but wouldn't recommend a home with cats due to his prey drive. He would be wonderful in an active pet or beginner sport home. He could also do some light service work. He is great in the house but needs to be crated when left alone. He loves to be with his people. Great on walks very curious about things but such a sweet boy! For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. PLAY! K9 Rescue will pay for the spay/neuter of this adopted dog. The spay/neuter must be done at a clinic or veterinarian's office approved by PLAY! K9 Rescue. If the adopter chooses to take the pet to their own veterinarian for the spay/neuter procedure, PLAY! K9 Rescue will refund the cost equivalent to an approved PLAY! K9 Rescue veterinarian or clinic. All of our unaltered pets have a fully refundable deposit of $150.00 included within the adoption fee. Bear is 4 years old he was born on 7/25/21. We acquired him from friends of ours in Brooksville, Florida. His mom has paperwork showing she is Belgian Malinois, but there is no proof of paperwork on his dad even though mom and dad looks alike other than color. Bear will need someone that is very active and who is compassionate. He loves playing catch with the ball and will bring it back. He knows sit, lay down, and stay. Sometimes when you tell him to stay He will do it and sometimes he will follow you. He needs someone who will give him a chance as he hasn't been in contact with anyone other than my fiance and myself. My fiance passed away on February of this year. He has broke out from the gate and has never bitten anyone. He's protective when he's in his area. He needs someone who is financially stable so he can get the care he well deserves. I need to rehome Bear because they are selling the place where I currently live and I have no place that will allow him.

Although Meili may be shy initially when meeting strangers, she continues to make great progress especially when it is done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves taking walks in quiet places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. Meili is not interested in playing with dogs, but does fine walking with other mellow dogs and has participated successfully in a six week agility session with other leashed dogs. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great travel companion. She is very food motivated and has been learning the “wait” command as she anticipates that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will enjoy being close and lying by your side. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her.
