Kylie is an incredibly sweet pup who would enjoy a home with another dog to help her gain confidence. Kylie does well with drives in the car, with sleeping in her crate, and other dogs. She enjoys snuggling on the couch with a blanket and running around outside with two other dogs she is currently fostering with. She really likes her foster siblings' toys and makes a game out of taking them out of the bin one by one and hoarding them in a pile. The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and other needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Parrish, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. This adoption requires a $150 refundable neuter deposit to be reimbursed after an age-appropriate alteration around 18 months old.

Cookie has a neutral temperament and is well mannered at home and when out on adventures; she walks well on leash, is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. Cookie does well with women, children and dogs- she makes an amazing playmate! She can be aloof towards unfamiliar men, but does live comfortably with her Foster-Dad and previous male-owner who surrendered her before moving away. Cookie is healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccines and vetting. Cookie will need a committed owner who will meet her high energy needs and reinforce training- ensuring play time, long walks, and occasional adventures. My name is Apache. My owner has been deported, and her children have been evicted, leaving me without a caretaker. My previous owner was very kind and caring until I her neighbor was kind enough to help me but only for a littile awhile she has 5 dogs of her own I am safe for now a but it’s not forever home. I am hesitant to go to a shelter and would appreciate it if you could find me a permanent home. I am crate-trained and house-trained. I enjoy my crate and my ball, and I love walks I still need work on a leash and backyard activities. I am particularly fond of keeping my ball in my mouth, releasing it only when I desire. I am not aggressive and am afraid of other dogs. I have never been exposed to them, as I have only been in a house cage. I am grateful for the home I had, but I am hopeful for a better future.

Although Meili may be shy initially when meeting strangers, she continues to make great progress especially when it is done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves taking walks in quiet places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. Meili is not interested in playing with dogs, but does fine walking with other mellow dogs and has participated successfully in a six week agility session with other leashed dogs. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great travel companion. She is very food motivated and has been learning the “wait” command as she anticipates that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will enjoy being close and lying by your side. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her. However after a recent incident involving a toy in her kennel, she became aggressive during a guarding incident and left a scratch on our other dogs shoulder. She has since started resource guarding her toys and us. She will do best in a home where she can be the main attraction. She really would make the right person a great dog. She will also be coming with her harness, leash, toys, bed, and some food to make transition to new food easier.
