Story
VOLT IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER PERSON!
Georgia
Meet Volt, a beautiful 3-year-old Malinois girl who is currently in a short-term foster home in GA while we search for her long-term foster or forever home!
Volt is sweet, affectionate, playful, and SO much fun once she settles in. She loves to play, train, work with her person, go for walks, and of course collect as many belly rubs as humanly possible.
And yes… when Volt gets excited, she still does the cutest little happy teeth chatter.
Because Volt is a Malinois, she needs someone who understands the breed and is comfortable providing the structure, direction, exercise, and consistency she needs to thrive.
Malinois experience is preferred.
Now, let's talk about her little maligator moments. When Volt gets really excited especially when coming out of her crate she can get a little mouthy. Her foster simply doesn't engage with it, gives her a clear “no biting,” and Volt settles right down.
Other than that? This girl is EASY.
Volt is crate trained, loves having a job, enjoys training with her person, and absolutely needs regular walks and exercise. Give her some structure, clear expectations, and something productive to do, and she is a very happy girl.
And here's something really special about Volt…
She is AMAZING with other dogs.
Every dog we've introduced her to, she has been appropriate and wonderful. In fact, we think Volt could be a fantastic dog to help test other dogs because of how naturally neutral she is.
Out on walks, she doesn't react to other dogs. She doesn't get worked up over distractions. She's even completely neutral around deer! Put her on leash and she's just… Volt. Calm, observant, and focused.
No cats.
But dogs? Walks? Training? Structure? Belly rubs? ABSOLUTELY.
Volt needs a long-term foster or adopter who understands Mals or has experience with high drive working breeds and who is ready to give her the consistency, exercise, boundaries, and relationship she needs to continue thriving.
She doesn't need someone to constantly entertain her. She needs someone who will give her direction, structure, exercise, training, and trust.
Volt has SO much potential, and we know there is even more of her amazing personality waiting to come out once she knows she is home.
Could you be the person Volt has been waiting for?
