Story
Louise and her sister Thelma were on the run in Lake City FL until the local Animal Control caught up to them. Since the local shelter is already full, they reached out to MAD Rescue knowing they would not have a good outcome otherwise. Louise is a super friendly petite mal who has shown promise in scentwork. She lives for attention from people and just wants LOVE. Louise is good with other dogs, cats, and kids, does not resource guard, and is a great eater! She is a very happy go lucky pocket rocket that would thrive best in a home where she is never left alone. Louise recently had her first surgery on her wrist injury and has one more to go on her elbow before she can move to a forever home. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and 6 month subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  *********************************************************************** We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Story
Delta is a 1 year old malinois who loves to run, play with toys, and be with other dogs! She does have a higher prey drive and likes to chase things like squirrels and lizards, so a house without cats or kids is preferred! She's doing great with her foster/trainer and is fantastic with her basic obedience skills! She is also house trained, muzzle trained, crate trained, and potty trained! She enjoys car rides and playing with the other dogs her foster mom brings her around (after slow intros, and she's still a bigger fan of the male dogs)! She is sill cautious with new people and new envirmonments, but once she warms up, she is a little firecracker! Delta would prefer a female handler with no kids. Sheis eager to show her future person all of her amazing skills! All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and six month subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  *********************************************************************** We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Echo is a high energy two girl old with basic and some advanced obedience and endless enthusiasm for play!  Ball and toy driven, life is chasing, retrieving, rinse, repeat.  Echo also has a great nose, and would likely make a solid SAR candidate. Echo is great with children and good with other dogs.  Cats are not recommended.  Although she is high energy, she does have an off switch.  She is crate trained, house trained and loving.  She will need an active home and ideally an adopter who does dog sports to keep her exercised and provide the mental stimulation tha she needs to thrive. *********************************************** To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application. Story
Athena is a super sweet pup that was brought into MAD in late June.  She is very friendly, curious and calm (for a Malinois, lol) in the house and is starting to show off her "zoomies" outside.  She is good with dogs but a little nervous until she gets to know them a bit.  Athena is not safe with cats... she is now showing high prey drive.   Within just days in her foster home she is following her foster around the house and even walks her out to the car and adores affection! Good with kids and dogs, Athena has been learning the ropes of family life and shows a nurturing awareness of her family members.   When her foster's son was hurt, Athen would not leave his side  She does flinch a little when a hand is reached over her head, but this reaction is quickly dissipating as she is shown gentle, kind interactions. And she loves to give "drive by" licks as she passes her people!   It is a good thing that Athena has all of these nuturing tendancies, because we found out mid-July that she will be having babies in early August.  Surprize puppies on the way!  We found out that Athena is low HW positive and she has started her treatment.  This will take 3-4 months and is almost always highly effective, with no long term health issues.    More to come soon on this precious beauty. *********************************************** To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application. Story
Meet Rex, a resilient and affectionate boy with a heart as big as his spirit. Rex was born with congenital megaesophagus, a condition that requires him to be fed upright in a Bailey chair so food can move safely into his stomach. He thrives on a high-quality, nutrient-dense diet—currently The Farmer’s Dog, which has been working well for him. Rex will need lifelong management, including special feeding routines, possible medications, and regular veterinary checkups to keep him feeling his best. While this condition may shorten his lifespan, Rex doesn’t let it dim his joy—he is a loving, social dog who delights in spending time with people and embracing each day with enthusiasm. Rex is looking for a dedicated adopter who can continue his care and give him the warm, supportive home he deserves. *Bailey chair will be sent home when adopted* - Around 3 years old - Currently just under 70lbs - Good with kids, prefers a slow introduction to dogs and cats. - Adoption fee: $350 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
