My transition to home life has been going well; in less than 2 weeks I was sleeping through the night and learned a few tricks. Strangers are still hard for me, but the way to my heart is through food so that helps with introductions. I love to snuggle the lady on the couch, and go for runs with the fella, and while I still haven't played with their dog, we get along well. I have a little bit of anxiety but my confidence is building everyday; patience and consistency help a lot. Mallory is a very smart Belgian Malinios, who would make a great dog for someone who loves dog sports, like agility, search and rescue, nose work, etc. This little girl is a pocket rocket, mixed with a snuggle bunny! She is good with other dogs, crate trained, food motivated, ball motivated, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Experience with the breed is a must, but if you have had working dogs in the past, she would be an easy, super fun dog to train! He loves cuddling even more than he loves playing tug or playing with his brother. Currently we have a 8/ mo chocolate lab who we have trained as our hunting dog. Unfortunately soon after we bought Atlas my mother fell ill and had to come stay with us. As a Belgian breed these dogs are very vocal and a bundle of energy. They are similar to huskies and Atlas sure does have a lot of personality, so for me it is important for him to go to a family that has experience with more challenging breeds. I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. I am an unpredictable gal with a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me; I’m reactive when it comes to other dogs or unknown/sudden sounds like bikes whizzing by etc.; and I’m a pack follower so if there’s a fight, I may feel compelled to join the chaos. That said, I went to a training facility where there were many other dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I may overcome these ‘quirks’ of mine!! Hee, hee! Anyway, my favorite activities include cuddling with my people; going for leashed walks; snoozing on the couch; eating; playing with squeaky toys; chewing on bones/sticks; chasing the cat; chilling with my canine sib; running zoomies; and barking at strangers outside! I don’t like a lot of commotion and have been known to bite if someone comes into the house when foster mom is not home. I am, however, a very smart girl who will not only give myself a kenneled ‘time-out’ if I’m barking too much but I am potty trained and I know commands like “sit”, “down”, “kennel/crate”, and “heel”! Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Dodger is a happy and excited boy who loves to wag his tail and makes lots of noise, just like his sister! He has a ton of energy to spare and wants to use it running around, playing fetch, or going on long walks. He'll need lots of activity and would be great with another active dog and active kids :) Dodger is a very sweet and polite boy also who loves to cuddle on the couch or bed, or sit down right next to you.
