I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. I am an unpredictable gal with a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me; I’m reactive when it comes to other dogs or unknown/sudden sounds like bikes whizzing by etc.; and I’m a pack follower so if there’s a fight, I may feel compelled to join the chaos. That said, I went to a training facility where there were many other dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I may overcome these ‘quirks’ of mine!! Hee, hee! Anyway, my favorite activities include cuddling with my people; going for leashed walks; snoozing on the couch; eating; playing with squeaky toys; chewing on bones/sticks; chasing the cat; chilling with my canine sib; running zoomies; and barking at strangers outside! I don’t like a lot of commotion and have been known to bite if someone comes into the house when foster mom is not home. I am, however, a very smart girl who will not only give myself a kenneled ‘time-out’ if I’m barking too much but I am potty trained and I know commands like “sit”, “down”, “kennel/crate”, and “heel”! Seriously, how brilliant am I!?! I am a great listener too which makes training a lot easier! Hee, hee!! I know that I’m a bit unpredictable right now but I’m still young and I really am a sweetheart who simply wants to find unconditional love in my own furever home with a patient family who will NEVER give up on me! Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Meet Bud! He has the best personality--he's super loving, chill and sweet! Bud is a handsome 1 year old german shepherd mix, and he weighs about 50 pounds. He has excellent manners and he's house trained. He loves to play and cuddle, and he does great meeting new people and dogs. He knows how to sit and shake, and he loves kids. Meet Deputy! He is SO DARN CUTE! He is about 18 months old and weighs 60 pounds. He was being fed as a stray on the street and would come into their office building to spend time with them. He looks EXACTLY like my personal dog Levi, even down to having black spots on his tongue. Everyone calls Levi the Sheriff, so I thought his name should definitely be Deputy! He was a wee bit nervous coming into the rescue and being swarmed by dogs but he did outstanding and didn’t show any aggression at all. I then took him to the intake building for vaccines and several pills to be shoved down his throat and he was a total DOLL! His personality will begin to show soon but as for today, he’s absolutely brilliant!!! Levi’s DNA test showed he was 1/2 German Shepherd, 1/4 Rottweiler, 1/8 Chow and some other things. Name: Tarot Breeds: Belgian Tervuren/ Dutch Shepherd Mix Age: Young Adult Sex: Male Size: Large A pretty face and legs up to here, Tarot has all the makings of a model. He doesn't have a big head about it though! This humble guy came into a local impound after suffering a horrific injury at the hands of someone who had just purchased him in the days prior. He has spent the last few months healing and his wound is almost fully healed and he is nearly ready to find his forever home! He is an absolute love. He had endless patience with all the bandage changes, the cone wearing, and the vet visits. He didn't enjoy the short term restricted activity though! Thankfully it was only a week and he was cleared to be his playful self. This guy is the energy level you'd expect from his breeds and needs an active home who can tire him out mentally and physically. He is smart, he loves to work out puzzle and food toys, and is an excellent walking/jogging partner. He is quite the water dog as well! He is excellent with dogs and likes to play with them though equally loves his humans and would be happy in a home with or without another dog. He is housetrained and crates well but prefers to be in a dog-proofed area rather than a crate when alone. He is gated in the hallway with a bone and dog bed at his foster home and he does much better with that than in the crate Requirements: Training sign up required Adoption Fee: $500 + tax.
