Story
This pure bred Mali is 9 and a half months old. She is a super playful, energetic and intelligent dog. Fully potty trained and crate trained. As loyal as they come. Eager to learn and simply wants to run, hike, and play tug. Slightly scared of big crowds of dogs but loves playing with 1-2 dogs at a time. Needs lots of attention and care but worth every minute.

Story
Meet Tex 🤎🐾 Tex is a smart, loyal, and truly special dog looking for the right match. He is an incredibly intelligent boy who loves to engage with his people and build meaningful connections. He thrives with structure, routine, and mental stimulation, and would be a great fit for someone who enjoys working with a dog and building a real partnership. Tex would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the love, but depending on the other dog, he may be able to live with a canine companion. He is dog selective, so any potential dog siblings would require a meet and greet to ensure a good match. Because Tex builds trust through familiarity, he would greatly benefit from potential adopters spending a little time getting to know him before adoption. A few visits prior to taking him home will help set everyone up for success and allow Tex to feel safe and confident during the transition. Like many shelter dogs, he will need time and patience to adjust to a new environment, but once he feels safe, his personality truly shines. Tex would do best with an adopter who understands high-drive dogs or shepherd-type breeds, or someone who is committed to learning and providing consistency, guidance, and engagement. If you’re looking for a smart, devoted companion and are willing to put in a little extra time, Tex could be the perfect addition to your family!

Story
Meet Laramie! Aka: Larry, Larangitis, Larry the Cable Guy, Lar-Enzo, Larbear... You get the picture. Larry's age is a big ole' question mark! Based on teeth, size, and demeanor, this girl has been aged between 9-12 months. This little maligator mix is full of love, charm, and certainly personality. Larbear is dog friendly! There hasn't been a dog yet that's turned away her charm- large or small. Larry is also deeply (in malinois fashion) interested in doing absolutely whatever you're doing... Even if that's just walking from the kitchen to the bathroom! Needed or not, you'll find Laramie there. She is quiet and clean in her crate, and typically goes in with no quarrels- although she spends the majority of her time free with her fosters in the house, and has had no issues! She hasn't been introduced directly to cats, but has shown slight interest through gates/fences. She likes to go for car rides, and is always down to curl up in a ball in your lap and snooze the trip away! She just generally wants to be where her people are. She's a happy happy dog, always ready to offer that classic Mal hug and toothy smile. Her drives are essentially nonexistent, and her energy is medium and manageable. She is overall a lovely active pet prospect for a person or family wanting a new addition! *Larry is fostered in Upstate SC. All out of state adopters MUST come meet their dogs in person

Story
Don’t let the fancy coat and floppy-sometimes-perky ears fool you—Lakota is equal parts sass, snuggle, and goofball. She’s a stunning brindle Shepherd-Mal mix with just the right blend of working breed brains and active pet vibes. Lakota gets along well with medium and large dogs, but she’s a hard no on cats. She’s crate trained (though she has a bit of a spin-cycle routine), has a big bark that she’s not shy about using, and has a quirky, funny attitude that keeps you laughing. She can be a little squirrelly when meeting new people, but give her a little time and she melts into full-body cuddles. She’s curious, clever, and showed interest in Barn Hunt—she could definitely blossom with some light sport or enrichment work. Lakota is looking for a home that understands shepherds or Mals and can appreciate a dog who talks back, leans hard into affection, and thrives with a mix of structure and fun. Available for adoption in Upstate SC. Out of state adopters must travel in to meet their dogs!

Story
Pumpkin is a bright, loving, and energetic 15-month old dog looking for a home that matches her intelligence and spirit. We have raised her from 8 weeks old, and she is fully up to date on immunizations, recently spayed, and crate trained. She responds well to basic commands and enjoys both outdoor walks and quiet relaxation at home. Pumpkin has some resource guarding behaviors that make her best suited to a home without children. She would thrive with an owner who has experience with high-intelligence or working breeds and can provide consistent structure and guidance. We have been working on the behavior, and she shows progress. She is affectionate, eager to please, and bonds deeply with her humans. We are rehoming her out of care for both her needs and our family’s, and are committed to helping find a home where she can continue to grow and flourish. If you are interested in Pumpkin, the adoption fee is negotiable. We just want to make sure she goes to the right home.
