Maya is 6 years old. We adopted her from Austin Pets Alive in 2020 and she is a great dog. She loves to play outside, she’s very affectionate and sweet, and even gentle with kids. She was our baby but now that we’ve started having babies, we’re a bit overwhelmed. She really is wonderful with our 2 year old, but we don’t have a very big house or yard and we’re finding it hard to give her the stimulation and exercise that she needs. We would love to find a home that has space for her to run and an owner that will be able to walk her regularly. All in all she is a great, sweet, loving dog and we will be sad to see her go but happy that she has a home more suitable to her active nature.

Luci does great with other dogs and enjoys companionship.We love her deeply, so this decision hasn’t been easy. We want to be honest: Luci has some anxiety and recently bit our 5-year-old. While this was an isolated incident, it showed she isn’t comfortable around young children or unpredictable movement.Luci needs an adult-only home or one with older, calm teens, and a patient, structured environment.She is not a bad dog—just a sensitive one who needs the right fit.
