You wouldn’t know by looks very much , but she has a great off switch. Growing up as a stray then to the shelter she is a bit on the shy side at first and will take a bit to warm up to her new home! But once she knows she’s your girl, she won’t leave your side ! Crate trained and knows to go outside to potty but will of course need a refresher to the new routine’s . She’s not a “crazy Mal” by any means and is perfect for a person wanting a Malinois but not sure if they can handle the energy. This girl is the best of both worlds ! She is weary of strangers and won’t approach strangers people on our hikes to Tanner. She likes the water and would love a home with another dog she can learn the ropes from ! She would make a great dog for a couple , or a single person looking for that “scary dog privilege “ without having a liability. She walks great on a leash and is very food motivated to learn ! We are 4 months old and currently weigh about 26lbs. When we are grown we could be 60lbs or more. Don't let our future size fool you, we believe we are lap dogs. We are currently working on potty training and if kept on a regular schedule we have it mastered.  DId you say food? We thought so. Both of us are highly food motivated. Both of us love our K9 foster siblings and love meeting new people. Our foster mom mentioned these things called "cats" but we've never met one. Our perfect home would be with someone who understands our breed and will help us with training so we can be the best boys we can be. Due to our high energy we would do best with kids older than 10, we would hate to knock a little human over.  Now that we've covered the basics let's get down to the nitty gritty...   Sergeant Starsky here, ready to steal your heart one head tilt at a time. I'm a goofy pup and love to play. I'm currently learning that my crate is a safe space and isn't so bad. I still need a little more convincing. I am a 1.5yr old, purebred Belgian Malinois, and I am full grown at about 60lbs. My foster mom is a dog trainer, and has introduced me to several of her trainer friends who all agree that I would be an excellent candidate for someone who is interested in getting into confirmation, competitive obedience, rally, nosework, agility, AKC Fetch, or dock diving! I am very social, and love spending time with people and dogs, and out of everyone I live with, my foster dad is my absolute favorite! I have excellent foundational obedience, and have already started learning nosework, fetch, and agility basics. Although I currently live with 3 kids, I can be a lot for them. While I do know how to control my excitement and energy when told, my foster mom and I think it would be best if I didn't go to a home with young children. 15+ for me, please! Axe is an 18 month old AKC Registered Purebred Belgian Malinois. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on all his vaccinations. His dew claws have been removed on both front paws. Axe does well with strong leadership, has had extensive obedience training, and knows multiple commands - sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, off, out, heel, return, place and some fun ones like touch, watch, shake, spin, and high five. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He is good on leash and at learning boundaries (for example, we taught him not to go past the kitchen island or out a door without permission). He is a quick learner and picks up on what you want him to do fast. Definitely food and toy motivated, but also praise/affection motivated. His absolute favorite thing is to play fetch or tug a war. He is super affectionate and loves to cuddle or just be near his people. He is reactive to small dogs.

My favorite things are playing with Jolly Balls, in water and snow, and I LOVE anything that squeaks. I am extremely food and toy motivated, which makes working with me easy and I have learned several commands already. When my foster parents leave me at home I stay in my kennel or doggie area without issue, and I respect barriers like baby gates. I have never destroyed anything in the house, and I alert you when I must go outside. Clearly, I'm smart and I really love to play, but I also love belly rubs and naps throughout the day. I can be a little sensitive at times. When I see dogs on a walk or new people come into my house, I can be a bit reactive. However, with the trust and relationship we will build together this can be managed and reduced over time as I am doing so with my foster parents. I have never met a cat, but when I see them from afar my natural prey drive can kick in. My ideal home would be an active, single pet household with no small children and a fenced yard. I would do best with someone who has GSD experience who can give me the structure, training, and enrichment I need to continue to thrive.
