Katie is a gentle senior German Shepherd looking for her a loving home. Katie is 13 or 14 and was adopted from a shelter ~10+ years ago. She has spent her life with her mother (who is now 100 years old) and her brother (who had a severe stroke and lives in a home). Her mother had a recent hospitalization and unfortunately, will not be going home. Katie now needs a new, forever family. Katie is incredibly friendly and affectionate, she has lived peacefully with other dogs and cats in the past. Katie loves visitors, brings her toys to play and happily asks for walks. She enjoys resting and sleeping near her person but still has playful puppy energy. Katie deserves a soft landing for her golden years. She would thrive with someone who wants a loyal friend to walk with, relax with and love.

Namu was in the risk of being put down while staying in such a crowded place. Adogs team rescued him in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and wary of strangers, and tends to fear being touched. Can be touched when trust is built, so it's important to wait and go at his own pace. * With Dogs: Gives a warning sign such as growling when new dogs smell him or get in his face. Wags his tail and greets familiar dogs, but seems to prefer being alone to playing or hanging out with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows some aggression towards cats, so careful monitoring is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet, since he is living with other dogs as a group at the center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty only since he is staying at the center. * Hygiene: Takes baths and brushing very well. Gets nervous a bit during toenail trimming but makes no big fuss. * Walks: Is generally good at walking, but tries to chew the leash when he gets surprised by loud noises or feels tension on the leash. Attention is needed to prevent him from running away by chewing the leash. Doesn’t react much to other animals. * Nip: Growls as a warning sign if unfamiliar dogs get in his face, and may bite if they don’t stop. If other dogs show interest in his food, punches at them with his muzzle, signaling for them to stay away. Has not nipped at a person yet, but has possibility to do it if a stranger suddenly tries to touch him or he feels threatened. * Likes: Loves eating. However, may show threatening action to other dogs when they are approaching during the meal time, as if saying not to come close to him. During one freezing winter, Danpoong gave birth to five puppies at a shelter and was soon diagnosed with mange. Adogs urgently rescued the family. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Loves people and greets familiar ones with kisses! Allows people to lightly touch him, but more he only allows stronger physical affection when he’s feeling happy. Although unafraid, he is on guard with unfamiliar people and when people make quick movements, he may bark and reject treats. Is scared of guests, barking at them and hiding in another room. With a slow and gentle approach, he opens up quickly. * With Dogs: Is indifferent to dogs who don’t engage but approaches those who show interest in him. Gets along very well with even new canine friends. Gets along with most dogs. * With Cats: Calm around still cats and gently sniffs them, but has a lot of curiosity and tries to chase cats that run away. Sometimes, he bites when being forced to do something, so caution is needed. * Barking: Is a bit gluttonous and may growl when people touch his favorite treats. Sometimes barks in fear when he hears a sudden or unfamiliar noise, but calms down quickly. * Likes: Loves treats. Comes running, sits and waits in anticipation once he hears the opening of the fridge. This is Sassy, your new best friend. She’s a four-year-old “super mutt” (German Shepherd seems to be the most dominant breed) that has tons of energy and love to give. She’s a great walking buddy, loves routine, and being with the people she loves. We rescued Sassy in July 2022. We have adored her & been able to accommodate her unique behavioral needs since then. However, now that we’ve begun having kids, it’s clear that she needs to be in a home without children. Sassy’s unique behavioral issues are nuanced, so if you’re interested in her please reach out. However, to give you a picture: Sassy has separation anxiety, is slow to warm to new situations and new people, and takes Prozac daily. These things are manageable and we’ve seen a lot of success through medication and training, but she has not been able to adjust to life with our increasingly mobile baby. Ideal Home: recently retired or someone who works from home, loves to be outside, and is experienced with anxious dogs.

Meet Sugar from our ‘Valentine’ litter! Sugar is a 3.5 month old Belgian Malinois x Pit mix with the sweetest personality to match her name. She’s playful, athletic, and full of puppy joy—loving balls, squeaky toys, sticks, and zooming around the yard with happy little hops that look part bunny, part deer. Despite her playful energy, Sugar is incredibly affectionate and a total snuggle bug. She loves being close to her people and settles in nicely for cuddle time. She does great on car rides, responds well to structure, and is already crate trained. Sugar is comfortable spending a few hours at a time in her crate for naps and downtime and sleeps through the night in her crate as well. She’s been exposed to a lot for such a young pup and handles it beautifully. Sugar lives peacefully with a senior dog and a cat and mostly keeps to herself with them. She’s also done great during large gatherings—calm, observant, and not reactive. Overall, she’s a pretty quiet puppy, with only occasional barking during daytime crate naps or when something catches her attention outside. Sugar would thrive in a home that enjoys a balance of play, structure, and snuggles. She’s a smart, loving girl with a wonderful foundation and so much potential ahead of her.
