Story
Magenta is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois with the perfect balance of sweetness and energy. True to her nickname “Magnet,” she lives for affection—when you pet her, she’ll happily melt into you and press her whole body as close as possible for more love. She’s been great with every dog she’s met so far. Magenta loves to play with dogs who match her energy, but she’s also very respectful of dogs who aren’t interested in play. She does well with cats, enjoys walks and hikes, and rides great in the car with no motion sickness. Magenta hasn’t been around kids yet, but based on her adaptable, people-loving personality, she’s expected to adjust just fine. She’s very responsive to leash pressure and gentle corrections, highly treat motivated, and eager to learn. While she could benefit from some continued training to polish her skills, she already has a wonderful foundation. She is fully potty trained, settles nicely in the house on her own, and is crate trained—though she’d prefer not to be crated for long periods. Overall, Magenta is a loving, affectionate, and intelligent girl who will make an incredible companion for an active home ready to give her both love and engagement.

Story
Being a senior shepherd (around 9 years old), Lizzie carries herself with years of wisdom. She is a fantastic listener, walker and extremely smart. She is crate trained, fully potty trained, loves her choke collar for walks, knows regular commands, and can be by herself for a few hours no problem. She loves to play fetch or gentle tug of war if you get her riled up, but is in her happy place splayed out on the couch sunbathing and hanging - or on her back getting belly rubs of course.  She is incredibly easy-going and just loves to be nearby and cuddled up by your feet when you're working or hanging—she's the best and chillest companion you could ask for. She loves all people and is very trusting. Despite years of neglect and a rough past, she has such an amazing, happy spirit and continues to come out of her shell every day - like she is growing younger not older.  She has epilepsy, which has been completely under control with her daily medication. She has come a long way with her walks and has gotten used to going up and down a flight of stairs despite struggling at first, and she knows her limits; if she is getting tired she'll just happily turn us around to walk back home. She's great with kids and does not have a prey instinct. We believe she would adjust to other dogs with proper introduction as well.

Story
🐾 Adopt Oscar 🐾 Oscar is a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd rescued from the South LA shelter last month. He arrived very stressed, but with time and consistency he has made great progress and is becoming much calmer and more settled. Oscar is a sensitive, intelligent boy who does best with calm, confident, and experienced handlers—ideally someone familiar with shepherds. He can become anxious if things feel rushed, so he thrives with patience, structure, and a handler willing to build trust at his pace. As that trust grows, he relaxes and handling becomes much easier, showing what a great companion he can be for someone! He can be nervous and vocal when meeting new people and prefers slow, respectful introductions (as we all do). Oscar likes space to observe first rather than immediate interaction. He’s made progress with crate training and will come with a free training session to help his new person continue his success. Around other dogs, Oscar is mostly avoidant but is learning appropriate greetings and improving with practice. In the right home, Oscar has so much potential to be a loyal, devoted companion.

Story
Looking for a loyal companion who’s as smart as he is spirited? Jones is a German Shepherd puppy with a heart full of love and a mind eager to learn. He’s already potty trained, does well with other dogs and ready to find his forever home. Jones is always up for a game of fetch or a run around the yard. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he’ll keep you active and entertained. True to his breed, Jones is naturally protective and will quickly become a devoted member of your family. While he’s still mastering some puppy manners, Jones is highly intelligent and responds well to positive reinforcement. With consistent training, he’s sure to excel. Whether he’s curling up for a nap or showing off his latest trick, Jones is full of personality and love. Jones would thrive in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He’d be a great fit for someone experienced with the breed or a first-time dog owner willing to commit to his training and socialization.
