Vera German Shepherd Dog Mix (best guess) DOB: 10/01/2025 Vera is a young German Shepherd Dog mix who’s already showing the intelligence and awareness the breed is known for. Her dad is reported to be a GSD, and her mom—described as a very nice, hound-type dog—found her way to safety while pregnant, resulting in six pups, including Vera. In her foster home, Vera is proving to be a smart, observant puppy who is already picking up on potty training. She’s curious, engaged, and enjoys learning through routine and positive guidance. Like all puppies, Vera will need continued training, socialization, and structure as she grows. With her shepherd mix background, she’s expected to benefit from both mental and physical enrichment to help her develop into a well-mannered adult. Vera is looking for a committed adopter ready to raise a puppy and continue building on the great start she’s already made.

Meet Vernon! 🐾 12 weeks old • German Shepherd mix (best guess) Vernon is a bright, curious, and super sweet German Shepherd mix puppy with a whole lot of potential. This handsome boy is intelligent and eager to learn, already showing the qualities that will make him a wonderful family companion. Like all young puppies, Vernon is still learning the basics—especially potty training, which will take patience, consistency, and time. His smarts work in his favor, though, and he thrives with positive reinforcement and a predictable routine. Vernon does great with other dogs and cats and absolutely loves romping and wrestling with the dogs in his foster home. Because of his playful, high-energy nature, he would do best in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. A home with another young, playful dog would be ideal to help him burn off energy and stay engaged. He is also working on kennel training and will continue to improve with structure and supervision. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic puppy and are ready to invest the time, training, and love a young dog needs, Vernon could be the perfect addition to your family. 💙 ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. 🐕 If you have other dogs, we require a meet-and-greet prior to adoption. 💲 Adoption fee: $225 📍 Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
We got Snow as a puppy, and she is a very sweet dog, active, and she's very talkative, especially when you are delaying her from eating her food! She loves getting all the pets and is adorable when she is asking to be petted. She likes to play with toys, loves walks, and she is fast and an excellent rodent catcher (and bunnies and birds). She is trained to know sit, lay down, go potty (she is fully housetrained). Snow needs to be an "only (dog) child", as being part of a pack causes her anxiety, especially with other females. She is up to date on all of her vet care, shots, meds, etc. She would do great with someone who could walk her regularly, or lives on land where she can chase squirrels to her heart's content!
