Story
**MAX, The 38 Pound Rescue Pup** Max is a gorgeous, very sweet, and small Belgian mix dog who was surrendered to the shelter because he had a bad UTI, and the owners did not bother to have him checked at a vet,  when in truth,  Max may have been hit by a car. He had a torn diaphragm, and his organs were being pushed through. We quickly raised $6,500 for emergency surgery before things could worsen. Max has healed beautifully, and he is now ready for his forever family! Max is a gentle, friendly pup who loves to snuggle and enjoys going for walks. He is playful yet calm at home, and he gets along well with other dogs. Max is affectionate with adults and would do well in a family with older children. He is eager to please and has a sweet, loving temperament that makes him a wonderful companion. Sadly, his foster is moving to a smaller home with no room or yard for Max. Max is 5 years of age, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Max, please submit an adoption application. Senior Dogs welcomes foster-to-adopt situations for approved applicants. To apply, simply fill out our online application form with your contact information and a brief description of your household and experience with dogs. Once your application is received, our team will contact you within 2 to 3 business days to discuss next steps, answer any questions, and arrange a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet with Max. Most approvals are completed within a week, so you can start your journey with Max soon! Max has a $450.00 adoption fee www.smallpupsrescue.org June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Rancher! 🐾 Rancher is a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big heart, endless enthusiasm, and plenty of love to give. At around 70 lbs, he’s a strong, athletic guy who would thrive with an active family or person ready for adventure. Whether it’s hikes, runs, playtime in the yard, or learning new tricks, Rancher is always up for the next activity. This handsome boy is full of energy and personality, but what really makes him special is how much he adores people. Rancher is incredibly friendly, loves human attention, and is happiest when he’s part of the action with his family. He’s also great with kids, making him a wonderful companion for an active household. Rancher gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine buddy to play with. After a fun-filled day, he’s more than happy to settle down and soak up affection from his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic best friend who’s equal parts adventure partner and family dog, Rancher might just be your perfect match. ❤️

Story
Animal Information: Niley is a 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with striking eyes and a beautiful coat. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs, but found herself at risk for euthanasia due to her extended stay at the shelter and the kennel stress that came with it. That environment can be especially tough on dogs like Niley, so once we had a committed foster in place, we were able to step in and save her life. Foster Profile:   Niley is still a bit shy but very sweet and friendly! She’s a gentle dog who is interested in playing with other dogs, but nothing too rough and tumble. Niley is a bit more human motivated than a typical Husky and comes and leans in for pats . She has the typical energy level of a young Husky, but is able to calm down better than expected. Niley sometimes makes noises or yips when she is put back in the crate or if there is a lot of action she doesn't get to participate in, but she calms after a few minutes. With structure I think she'll get the rest of crate training pretty fast. She sleeps through the night in her crate without issue. She is still a little confused by the leash but she kinda goes with the flow and will start walking with you or following leash pressure.   I think Niley will really benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training; breed experience is a plus! More to come as this sweet girl settles in. Medical Note: Shortly after her arrival to Seattle, Niley developed some difficulty walking and balance issues. She has been evaluated by our vet without definitive diagnosis, however, has improved on oral medication. We believe she will need ongoing medication and will benefit from adopters comfortable managing these issues. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from San Bernardino in Modesto, CA. She will be transferred via Wigglebutts, arriving to foster care on 04/26/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Animal Information: Zoey is a 6 year old, 60 pound German Shepherd mix in need of a new home. She was adopted from Kitsap Humane Society three years ago and has been waiting over a year to be rehomed. Her current owner is moving due to health reasons, and Zoey is now confined to a crate most of the day with only brief breaks. She has lived with a cat, but her limited time outside the crate makes it unclear how well she is fully integrated. Zoey is house trained, crate trained, and has basic obedience skills. She is dog friendly. She is social with people and seeks out attention. Zoey would do best with an adopter who has experience with large breeds or shepherd type dogs. Foster Profile:  This girl is so incredibly sweet! All owner surrenders break my heart a bit, but she’s just been such a delight already to have with us, and will make such a great companion for a lucky person or family. She’s got that sugar face already at 5 years old, but it's so clear she’s still got young dog energy. She likes to play fetch and run around, but has a chill mode too. She’s not underfoot, but she likes to know where you are and be near. Her personality reminds me a little of a classic lab meets GSD, a little goofy, sweet, and energetic, but also very smart, clever, and quick. She seems to like water as she has plopped herself in our very small, decorative pond quite a few times already.  Zoey is crate and potty trained, and already knows sit, laydown, and kennel up. We’re working on leash training as she is a strong girl who can really pull, but she is responding well to a training collar. We think she would be fine as an only dog, as she really loves her people. However, given how she has been following around our resident dog, Theo, and booping him on the butt to get him to play, we think she would also be so happy to have a pal who wants to play with her! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when her owner had a chance of living arrangement. She is arriving to foster care as soon as we secure a foster home and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm
