WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Dakota! Dakota is a 3-month-old Carolina Dog/Belgian Malinois mix who currently weighs 17 pounds. While she has the striking looks of a Belgian Malinois, we don't expect her to grow into a large dog she'll likely stay around a medium size when fully grown. This sweet girl has a gentle, loving personality and is happiest when she's playing with her dog friends or soaking up attention from her people. Dakota gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is great with kids, and enjoys meeting new people. Like many puppies, Dakota can be a little shy when faced with new situations, but once she feels comfortable, her playful and affectionate side shines through. She's curious, eager to learn, and ready to take on life's adventures with a family by her side. Dakota is looking for a home that will continue to help her build confidence while giving her plenty of love, playtime, and positive experiences. In return, she'll be a loyal, sweet companion and a lifelong best friend. Age: 3 months Weight: 17 lbs Breed: Carolina Dog/Belgian Malinois mix Good with: Dogs, kids, and people Personality: Sweet, playful, affectionate, and slightly shy at first If you're looking for a loving puppy with a gentle heart and a playful spirit, Dakota may be the perfect addition to your family!

Story
Animal Information: Charlie Girl is an estimated 12-18-month old 40 lb now spayed female mixed breed (possibly Whippet/Malinois) with epic ears and a fantastic temperament. She was found as a stray (with Handsome Jack) on a large ranch property and processed thru COH Animal Control. She was given just 72 hrs because the shelter was beyond capacity so PAWHI stepped in and found her (and Jack) foster placement. In foster care Charlie has learned house-training, crate-training, and leash-training, is comfortable with handling, takes treats gently and shows no behavior issues like resource guarding. She is social and friendly with dogs and people including young children. She has not been evaluated with cats. This sweet and easy going girl is joining Dog Gone Seattle and we look forward to getting to know her in foster care. Foster Profile:  More coming soon! Story
Animal Information: Gaia is an estimated almost 18-month-old female, German Shepherd/Malinois mix, weighing approximately 73lbs. Gaia means "Greek mother of all life". She was found as a stray with her 10 puppies. She had been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved.  Foster Profile: Gaia is an incredible girl. Everyone who meets her becomes an instant fan. After raising her pups, she is more than ready to be a puppy herself. While she was originally estimated to be around 6 years old, our team feels confident she is closer to 18 months. Her playful personality shines through in everything she does. She is engaging, affectionate, and always up for fun. That said, she is still a Malinois. Smart, active, and occasionally a little mischievous if she gets bored. Gaia is great on leash, rides well in the car, and is fully potty trained. When left alone, she does need a high quality crate, we use Kennel Boss, as she is clever enough to let herself out of a standard wire crate. In the home, she settles in nicely, but like any Malinois, she thrives with structure and engagement. She is confident and neutral around other dogs. Happy to play when invited or coexist peacefully depending on their energy. We would love to see Gaia placed in a home with working breed experience that can appreciate her intelligence, drive, and fun loving spirit.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Adoptable Junnie! He is a ~4.5-5 year-old, Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home! He came to us around 9 months old, and has been waiting for a foster or forever home with us for 4 years. He would love to find his forever family ❤️ Junnie is a happy and sweet boy who loves to play and be active! He will require an active family that has experience with working breeds. He would make a great outdoors (hiking/camping/running etc) partner. He loves to play with toys and loves fetch! Junnie has been working on his dog socialization skills during his time with us and has made massive strides in what used to be overexcited puppy mouthiness, pretty typical for a young Malinois mix! He has done great with other dogs in our care on walks, and during meets, and group socializing. We do not know how he will be with another dog in the home, so meeting any existing pets in the home is a must. He would also do great as an only dog soaking up all the affection and continuing dog socialization outside of the home. He will require a home with a fenced yard for running and playing, no apartments. Junnie bonds deeply to his person/people, and can take a bit to gain trust with new people. We are looking for a home with no kids or cats. Junnie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! ❤️ Casey is a 1.5-2 year old, 65-70lb Malinois, who came to us as a stray from California. He is a happy, friendly, and active boy, and will make a great dog for the right home! Casey is your typical Malinois, and is an active boy who will need a home that will keep him exercised and mentally stimulated. He loves walks, playing and the outdoors. He would make a great adventure buddy! He is attentive to his handler, and a great learner. He also does well on car rides! Casey has been friendly with all people we have seen him with, and is social. We are still testing him with other dogs and he can do well around some, and reactive/overstimulated with others. This is not uncommon for working breeds in a kennel environment. He would thrive in a home that can work with him on continued training and socialization. He is not tested with kids or cats. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Cairo (aka Big Dog) 🐾 Looking for a loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, and professional Velcro dog all rolled into one handsome package? Meet Cairo — a 4-year-old neutered Belgian Malinois with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Cairo’s story started rough. He was found wandering the Texas countryside as a stray, severely underweight at just 50 pounds and too weak to stand. Today, this resilient boy has transformed into a healthy, happy 65-pound goofball who’s ready to leave the dusty roads behind and finally find his forever home. At first, Cairo can be a little reserved and cautious while he figures you out. But once you earn his trust, you’re officially his person. From that moment on, he becomes the ultimate Velcro dog — following you from room to room, leaning against your legs, attempting to climb into your lap like he’s a tiny puppy, and giving dramatic sighs if you leave him alone for too long. Like a true Belgian Malinois, Cairo is whip-smart, intensely loyal, and always ready for his next job — even if he occasionally invents one for himself. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you do, whether that’s hiking a trail, tossing a ball in the backyard, or supervising your every move around the house. Malinois fans know the breed’s magic: fierce devotion, incredible intelligence, and a bond that runs deep. Cairo brings all of that… plus a goofy streak that keeps life entertaining. He’s equal parts loyal protector and oversized clown. One minute he’s on neighborhood watch duty with his serious “I’ve got this handled” bark, and the next he’s prancing around with a toy in his mouth like the happiest dork alive. He’s expressive, hilarious, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. The Good Stuff: Crate trained and happy to relax in his kennel Mostly house trained and learning routines quickly Dog-friendly with excellent play energy Smart, eager to learn, and highly trainable Loves tug, fetch, puzzle toys, and interactive games A Few Honest Notes: Cairo is looking for an adult-only home or one with older, respectful teens. Young children make him nervous, and he does best when his space and boundaries are respected. He also cannot live with cats, chickens, or other small animals due to his prey drive. What Cairo Needs: Cairo is looking for someone who appreciates everything that makes a Belgian Malinois special — intelligence, athleticism, loyalty, and that deep desire to be connected to their person. He’s not a “sit around all day” kind of dog; he thrives when he has structure, activity, and a job to do, even if that job is mastering puzzle toys or joining you on outdoor adventures. Give this boy guidance, consistency, and plenty of love, and you’ll get the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog people rave about. In return, Cairo will give you unwavering loyalty, endless laughs, and the kind of deep bond Belgian Malinois are famous for. If you’re ready for a smart, protective, hilariously clingy best friend, Cairo may be your perfect match. Apply today and give this big goofy boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. ❤️ Adoption only in Texas at this time $200 adoption fee

PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Meet Patriot! Patriot is a handsome 3-year-old Presa Canario/Lab mix weighing around 50 pounds with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. He spent his puppyhood growing up on a Mennonite farm and is now ready to discover what it's like to be a beloved member of a family. Patriot is the kind of dog who wins everyone over with his sweet nature. He loves people, is great with kids (his foster has children that range from toddler to teen and he shows lots of patience and gentleness with them), and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether he's playing in the yard with his canine friends or relaxing at your feet after a long day, Patriot is simply happy to be with those he loves. While he's currently living outdoors, Patriot is eager to embrace indoor life. With a little patience and a consistent routine, he should learn potty training very quickly. More than anything, he's dreaming of a soft dog bed to curl up on, a few toys to call his own, and a family that will shower him with the love he's so ready to return. Patriot is affectionate, loyal, and always ready for a good ear scratch or belly rub. If you're looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who will fit right into family life, Patriot is waiting to meet you and become your newest best friend.

Story
Animal Profile: Leo is an estimated 5-year-old male slight-structured Shepherd mix who was adopted as a young puppy after we accepted him from California where he was found as a stray in a Chino dumping zone along with his sibling Sansa and mom Catelyn. He joined us in Seattle on 10/10, along with Sansa and Catelyn. Leo was returned to the rescue after a couple of years due to a divorce in the family, lacking socialization and training. He was fostered with a trainer for several weeks and is now thriving and ready for a loving forever home.  Seattle Foster Update: Leo has progressed well in his time with us as a foster. When Leo arrived to us from training he was moderately reactive, but quickly blossomed to a friendly, tail wagging, bouncy boy. Leo is in a word eccentric. He is a cuddle bug and a hermit and assumes the oddest positions imaginable to get close to his owners. He is crate trained perfectly and enjoys the safe environment the crate provides for him. If you’re unwilling to give Leo a crate then you’re not the right home for him. He needs his escape and downtime to be the best boy. Leo warms up slowly to new people and dogs, and his new owners should be selective in dog introductions as he will react if confronted and doesn’t like in your face dog encounters. He plays well with male Collie and male Malinois and he has a firm truce with our selective female Bulldog. He lives with our cats and is completely disinterested in them. So, cat friendly. Leo will never be a dog park dog. So no dog parks. We don’t have kids in the household so don’t have awareness there. He has no food aggression but he's still working on taking treats gently. Leo will be a great hiking buddy and walks beautifully on leash. He doesn’t have marked stranger danger but again the policy will likely be "please don’t pet my dog without proper introductions." Adopter Profile: Dog experience required Fenced yard required Other dog/dogs in the home a plus Cats okay Older kids okay Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org  July 2, 2026, 9:09 am
