Story
Onyx’s story is one of resilience, survival, and finally getting the chance to just be a dog. When Onyx first came to us after he was minutes away from being euthanized at a local shelter, he was incredibly sick with pneumonia and facing serious medical challenges. He underwent multiple surgeries, emergency vet visits, and long recovery times. For so long, Onyx never had the opportunity to simply enjoy life because he was too busy fighting to feel better. But Onyx never gave up — and neither did we. Today, after being loved back to health, Onyx is thriving and embracing every moment of the happy, healthy life he always deserved. He loves to run, play, cuddle, and soak up affection from everyone around him. He’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of goofy personality. One of his cutest quirks is his signature “kangaroo jumps,” so he’ll need a securely fenced yard with a high fence because this boy can bounce. Onyx is hard of hearing and has only one ear due to the double TECA surgeries he underwent. Even so, he works incredibly hard to learn routines and follow commands. He does best with loud verbal cues and hand signals to help guide him. Despite everything he’s endured, Onyx remains deeply trusting, loving, and eager to connect with people. He is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and truly loves everyone he meets. He’s also extremely food motivated and will happily do just about anything for a treat. Onyx has overcome more than most dogs ever should. Now, all he needs is a forever family willing to love this resilient, goofy, affectionate boy exactly as he is.

Story
Meet Buttons! Fostered in Aston, PA Buttons is a beautiful 6 year-old Bernese Mountain Dog with the gentlest heart. She's a shy girl at first, but once she knows she's safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. Her favorite things? Being a professional couch potato, lounging in the backyard , treats (she comes running for the treat jar! ), and soaking up gentle pets on her head. She even gets adorably jealous when another dog is getting attention and not her! Buttons would love a laid-back home with a friendly, confident dog sibling to help her continue building confidence, and a fenced yard where she can safely relax and explore. House trained Crate trained (it's her happy place!) Great with kids, dogs, and everyone she meets Spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready for her forever family All Buttons asks for is a little patience while she blossoms. The foster says she's truly an angel—and one of the very best dogs they've ever fostered. Could you be the family she's been waiting for?
