Story
Meet Pippa!
Pippa is an almost 4-month-old Golden Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix who already weighs about 35 pounds, and she’s going to be a big, beautiful girl.
I know everyone says their foster is the best, but Pippa really is something special. She is as soft as can be, somehow even sweeter than she is adorable, and has been an absolute joy to foster.
She’s doing an amazing job with potty training, is already crate trained, and loves people and other animals. She would love a playful dog sibling (ideally a larger one, as she’s still learning her size!), but she’d also be perfectly happy being her humans’ best friend. She does still freeze up on a leash and will need continued practice, but she’s smart, eager to please, and learns quickly.
When Pippa first came into rescue, she was scared and unsure of the world around her. Occasionally a loud or unexpected sound will spook her but, otherwise, she’s completely come out of her shell and is now the happiest, friendliest, most loving girl. She lights up when she sees her people, loves to be close, and has the sweetest, gentlest personality.
She’s truly the kind of dog who makes your home feel happier just by being in it. Pippa is everything you could hope for in a puppy, and there’s no doubt she’s going to make one very lucky family incredibly happy.
If you think Pippa is the perfect fit for your family, please submit an application today!
Pippa is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
