You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.** Cute Puppy Alert! **  Meet Link and Zelda, two super adorable mini Bernadoodle puppies who are looking for their forever homes! These sweet pups were rescued from a breeder and, while they both have little hernias—which makes them less desirable in the breeding world—we think they’re absolutely perfect just the way they are! At almost 4 months old, Link and Zelda are playful and full of energy! We expect them to grow to about 30-35 pounds. Like true Bernadoodles, they love the outdoors—no matter what the weather brings! Rain or snow? Bring it on! They enjoy their time outside so much that they might need a little coaxing to come back inside. Currently, they have a lovely fenced yard to play in, but since they haven’t been introduced to leashes yet, that’s a fun skill they'll need to learn in their new homes. These pups are social butterflies! They play well together and get along with other playful dogs. Older dogs in their foster home have been teaching them good manners, and Link and Zelda have taken those lessons like champs! They are super friendly and love people, so they would be great companions for kids, too. As they’re still young, Link and Zelda are a bit of a blank slate, so they’ll need some training and patience to help them blossom in their new families. They’re loving, goofy, and eager to learn—especially when treats are involved! Zelda is fearless!  Nothing stops her and she is a quick learner.  She listens well and is very happy! She is snuggly and sweet and always wants to cuddle up to a person or another dog when it's naptime.  She wants to be around people and gets excited when she meets someone new.  Zelda loves toys too and give her a good chewy, she will be occupied for awhile.     Zelda has received professional grooming and will need regular grooming throughout her life. She is getting used to daily brushing, which is such a great habit to keep up! If you’re lucky enough to adopt Zelda, you’re in for a wonderful adventure! Zelda is up to date on all her age-appropriate vaccines and has been microchipped. She is scheduled to be spayed on December 9th, and he’ll be available for adoption right after that. The vet will also assess her hernia, and if necessary, it will be repaired at that time. Her adoption fee is $750 which will help with the care of all the wonderful dogs in our rescue still waiting for their forever homes or our forever fosters needs. . We can’t wait to help Zelda find her perfect family! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 3, 2025, 2:40 pm

He’s always searching for a toy to play with, and if he can’t find one, he’ll turn anything nearby into his new plaything. He’s a quick learner, watching other dogs to pick up on their behaviors. Link is affectionate and loves getting attention from everyone. He’s doing well with housetraining, but let’s be honest, he still has some work to do—though his love for the outdoors helps! Story
Sadie Bear is a loving, engaging pet. She loves people and belly rubs. If she had her way, she would lounge all day. However, she is on the heavier side, with joint issues. She needs regular walks and exercise. Which she does willingly. She is verbal. She lets you know when she needs out and when she is hungry. Prone to UTI's so she needs regular grooming in her hind quarters. She is great family dog and companion. It's unfortunate that we have to rehome her. Not a choice we want to make. Since we do, we are looking for a family who will love her as much as we do.

Story
Bear Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY area Meet Bear. This sweet, social, 12-year-old gentleman is looking for the perfect home to spend his golden years. Bear is a large mixed breed weighing approx. 50lbs. He was surrendered by his people because they were moving, and Bear was not welcomed to move with them ☹ He is slightly underweight and originally showed signs of neglect. Thankfully we were able to find a wonderful, temporary home for him, but he needs a place and people to call his own. Bear has no idea he is 12 and we are not telling him. He loves to play and run around; enjoys his walks but he also loves a movie and to nap with his stuffed animals. He loves puzzle toys and treats 😊. This guy really just loves life. He has really come out of his shell, now that he’s safe and well cared for. He’s good with kids, good with cats and friendly with familiar dogs. We'd love to see Bear spend his final years in a comfy and calm environment. If you think you are the right home for this deserving guy, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
