If ever a pup deserved a spoonful of sweetness in his name, it’s Gogurt. This 9-10 month old Bichon-poo— affectionately known as Gogi— is equal parts playful fluff and devoted cuddle companion, with a temperament that truly sets him apart. Gogi starts his mornings between 6:00 and 7:30 with what he considers the most important meal of the day: cuddles. Before his paws even hit the floor, he’s ready to soak up affection. Once he’s out of bed, he heads straight outside for his first potty break, then hustles back in for breakfast— 1/3 cup of Zignature whitefish kibble topped with fish oil. He takes his cuisine seriously. Immediately after breakfast, he’ll let you know it’s time for potty round two. Morning is also prime time for wandering the yard, sniffing bushes like a tiny explorer, and heading out for a walk. On leash, Gogi is a gentleman. He doesn’t pull, doesn’t bark at other dogs, and is genuinely happy to meet new friends. He doesn’t chase squirrels— he prefers to pause and observe. When cars pass by, he thoughtfully stops and sits until they’re gone, as if practicing his road safety PSA. Back home, he’s all about play. Tug toys? Yes. Fetch? Absolutely. A little zoom around the yard? Sign him up. His energy level is beautifully balanced— ready to play when you are, perfectly content to nap or entertain himself with toys when you’re working. He’s not destructive and won’t chew shoes or furniture, but do keep an eye on stray paper or small cardboard treasures - those are his version of fine dining ;). He may still nibble gently on fingers, but it’s soft, puppy-ish affection, never rough. Gogi is a confident, affectionate, deeply bonded little companion. He adores his people and greets family members with pure joy when they come out of their rooms or return home. He especially keeps close tabs on foster mom, happily following along to make sure he doesn’t miss out on anything important— like more cuddles. And cuddles are truly his specialty. Gogi could cuddle all day if you let him. He loves being close, melting into laps, and snuggling into arms. He may bark when new people first arrive, but it’s simply his way of announcing a guest. Once they sit down and let him approach, he transforms into a snuggle ambassador. He’s still not comfortable jumping up or down from furniture and prefers to wait for a lift, which only adds to his baby-bear charm. Though he loves being near his people, he’s not demanding. If there are maintenance workers in the house or activity that requires him to take a break, he is perfectly content relaxing quietly in his crate or pen with his toys. He sleeps soundly through the night and is housetrained, going to the door when he needs to go out. After baths and before bedtime, he needs a few extra trips outside to fully empty his tank, but he settles in and sleeps through the night without issue. Gogi has spent time at a friend's home with other dogs and has done beautifully— even with larger dogs. He has happily slept alongside them and enjoys canine companionship. He has also been wonderful with children as young as six, greeting them with friendliness and warmth. An ideal home for Gogi would be one filled with love and activity— people coming and going, children laughing, life happening around him. He thrives on connection but is also capable of entertaining himself when needed. His temperament is truly something special: affectionate, gentle, adaptable, and full of heart. Now, for the part that makes Gogi a little extra special. He has a genetic skin condition called ichthyosis that requires consistent maintenance. His coat is gorgeous, but it needs to be kept short so that his medications can properly reach his skin. He requires frequent bathing (2–4 times per week), daily brushing, medicated mousse applications several times a week, weekly topical medication, and ear cleanings every 1–2 months. His paws and ears can collect buildup that needs grooming attention, and regular haircuts every 8–9 weeks help keep him comfortable and healthy. With proper care, he does beautifully— but he will need a family committed to maintaining his skincare routine. And here’s the truth: once you meet him, you’ll understand. Gogi’s temperament is so exceptionally loving and sweet that caring for his skin feels like a small trade for the joy he brings. He doesn’t beg at the dinner table, he greets you like you’re the best part of his day, and he offers endless cuddles without ever asking for much in return. Of all the fosters his family has welcomed, they say he has the very best personality. Gogurt may require a little extra upkeep— but in return, you get a heart-melting, perfectly balanced, deeply devoted little companion who will stick to you sweeter than his name suggests.April 25, 2026, 12:02 pm
