Story
Benny is a two-year-old Poodle and Maltese mix who weighs 21 lbs and is looking for a fresh start. Having lived with the same family since he was a puppy, he is well-adjusted to home life and is used to sleeping soundly on his own dog bed. While Benny is a seasoned companion, his previous home was unclear about his housetraining, so his new owners should be prepared to offer a little patience and guidance as he learns the routine in a new environment. His previous owners report that he is good with other dogs and cats. If you have other dogs at home, they will need to join the meet-and-greet to ensure a good fit, and any cat-friendly homes should plan for a slow, careful introduction to set Benny up for success. He doesn't seem to enjoy the shelter life very much, so we hope someone loving and patient can adopt him and make him feel comfortable and safe. He is already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, so he is ready to head home as soon as he meets the right match. He will need to be groomed regularly, so his new home should take into account that cost before applying. His coat doesn't seem to be the type to be hypoallergenic, so applicants should keep this in mind as well. Apply for him today! Adoption fee is $350. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
The sociable Griffin is eager to meet his new family! This adorable 2-month-old (born around June 15, 2025) Maltese/Chihuahua mix weighs just 3.3 pounds and is a charming white and gold pup. He and his sister Gidget are available for adoption—either together or separately—so you can choose the perfect match for your home. Though they would love a home together. Griffin is a sweet, lively puppy who loves to play and cuddle. This handsome boy is ready to find his forever home and promises to bring joy and gleeful moments into your life! As a young pup, he’ll need plenty of chew toys and patience with house training, he is working on it now. He’ll also be ready to be leash trained once fully vaccinated. Griffin is scheduled for neutering soon but is available for adoption now. He’s already microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Due to his small size, we recommend adult-only homes or homes with older children. If you think Griffin would be a perfect fit for your family, don’t wait—apply today and add this delightful boy to your life! If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Boq Wicked — 6 lbs of tiny, determined heart &#226&#156&#168 Available for Adoption through Umbrella of Hope Boq Wicked is a 9-year-old, 6-pound Maltese mix with a soft black and white coat, a gentle spirit, and a lifetime of stories behind his cloudy eyes. He may be small, but this little gentleman has preferences, routines, and a quirky charm that make him unforgettable to those lucky enough to earn his trust. His Personality Boq is happiest when the world is quiet, steady, and predictable. His absolute favorite part of the day? His walks. He walks beautifully on leash and will trot right alongside you like the world’s tiniest hiking buddy. He gets along well with other dogs, but people are a different story — Boq needs time, patience, and a calm approach before he feels safe with new humans. Once he trusts you, he’s sweet, affectionate in his own gentle way, and very food-motivated. (Blueberries, watermelon, and chicken? Yes, please.) Because Boq is deaf and has limited vision, he can be reactive if startled. He’s not recommended for a home with small children. His perfect match is someone experienced with shy or special-needs pups — someone who recognizes that progress may be slow… but absolutely worth it. Daily Life with Boq • Not fully housebroken, but does well if taken outside regularly • Doesn’t enjoy crates, carriers, or car rides • Likes to explore, sniff, and take in the world on his walks • Occasionally plays with small toys (when the mood strikes) Boq isn’t a turnkey dog — he’s a relationship dog. He needs someone who sees beyond first impressions and understands the quiet magic of earning the trust of a fearful pup. In return, you’ll get loyalty, routine, companionship, and the joy of being his safe place. If you’re patient, compassionate, and looking for a small senior buddy who just needs someone to believe in him, Boq Wicked might be your perfect match. Story
Hello, this is my dog Rocky. He is a Maltese mixed with shihtzu. He just turned a year old January 3rd. He is a very playful, energetic and loving pet. Rocky loves to play tug of war, fetch and cuddle at night. When his hair grows out he is a fluffy teddy bear. He gets along with kids, cats and other dogs. I am looking for a good home one that will love him and give him the affection and attention that he needs.

Story
Kally is a ~7 year old maltese mix who found her way to the shelter with ear and skin infections and a few broken teeth. She is a little overweight but loveable. The medical team has started treatment for her ear and skin and they are already improving markedly, even just within a few days. A full dental cleaning was performed and 1 tooth was extracted - another tooth has a crown fracture but the pulp cavity isn`t involved and the tooth is not painful - an adopter would just need to keep an eye on this tooth in the future. She may have allergic skin disease underlying her ear and skin issues - this may need ongoing management and vet visits which could involve perscription diets, pills or injections for itch, or further allergy testing, medicated baths or mousse and regular ear cleanings. Kally is a little overweight (10-20% overweight) and needs a diet. She is sweet, small (13 lb!) and ready for a home who can take on her skin care. Dental cleaning and extraction already done, and she is already spayed, chipped, dewormed and vaccinated :)

Story
Chewy  is an incredibly sweet and mellow little guy. He adores being petted and uses his whole body to show his appreciation. His favorite place is snuggled up next to his people anytime they sit or lie down. I can't say enough about how lovely and good a boy he is.  Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Mostly. We are primarily using belly bands, and he stays dry inside and knows what to do outside. He may need some patience and support as he acclimates to a new home and new routine. Describe how they are on a leash?  Walks beautifully on a leash - heels well, doesn't pull, and is happy to go as long as you're able. Not reactive to other dogs or squirrels he encounters on his walks.  Describe how they are with other dogs?  Gets along very well with our three small resident dogs—patient, gentle, and non-reactive. We keep them separate at feeding time because he is highly food-motivated. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  He met one cate and ignored him. I suspect he would be fine living with a cat in the home. Does not seem interested in chasing squirrels. Commands they know?  Comes when called, goes potty when asked, and does a sweet little dance when his meals are served. What are their favorite things?  Snuggles, pets, love, and food.  What do they need to work on?  Potty training. He is a pretty perfect little gentleman. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Chewy is crate-trained and snuggles up in his crate with his blanket when we need to leave the house. He will bark or react to noise, like our resident dogs, but he calms down quickly. Where do they sleep?  Chewy is happiest snuggled up with his people. He would love to find a home where he is welcome in the big bed. What is their ideal home?  Chewy would do well in a home with lots of love, attention, and regular walks. He is very patient and gentle with kids, visitors, and other dogs. He loves being close to his people, getting lots of pets, and being told what a good boy he is. He is a wonderful companion and will bring lots of joy to his forever family. Chewy is 7 years old and 8 pounds. Our Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs, please complete our online application:   www.everypetsdream.org/adopt  and we will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us:  Facebook  and  Instagram   January 3, 2026, 8:37 pm
