Berries n Cream is a lovely pup who is spending time in a foster home as we work on managing her KCS, also known as dry eye`. She is a sweet girl who is very wary of being touched around her eyes and face due to her eyes not receiving the treatment she needed. Berries is tolerant of other small, calm dogs and would do well in a quiet home. She recently had special implants put into her eyes that will dispense medication that will help limit the amount of medications she will need temporarily while we desensitize her to being touched around her face. She is already responding well to treatment and allowing her foster to touch around her face more. We hope to transition her to an adopter who will take this over. She will need lifelong eye drops, so needs an adopter with a good relationship with their veterinarian to continue her eye treatment. This has been a very difficult decision for us because they are deeply loved and we truly believed this would be their forever home. We simply want them to continue thriving in a home with a little more room to play, explore, and enjoy daily life. Our vet believes each would do well either on his own or together with his brother. Ouija is a great dog and I absolutely love him but he suffers from extreme separation anxiety! I can not leave him alone at all and it’s just getting to point I can’t leave my house so I’m having my groceries delivered I have to have sitters if I need to go to appointments. My daughter is going to have a baby soon and I’m just super overwhelmed and getting anxious myself about going places and doing things, I think he’d be great for an older person who needs a buddy! The only shots he needs at the moment arerabies and diaptemer shot and I haven’t done it because honestly I can’t afford to do it at this time. I’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old I got him from a breeder in Pennsylvania I paid 700$ for him well my kids did anyway. I had lost my previous dog who I had for 15yrs she passed away and my kids got my Ouija to keep me company because my husband is always traveling for work. Sometimes he’s gone for a month or 2. But I’m just feeling super overwhelmed with him! Please Help 🙏

Meet Moxie! Moxie is approximately 4 years old, 26 lbs currently and she has some Boston Terrier and Bichon Frise in her mix! She was a local surrender due to persistent Urinary Infections which we have treated and it is now under control. She will need to be continue to be on a urinary diet and meds. In her local foster home, she is doing great with house training. She is reactive on leash so needs a fenced in yard or a very quiet walking route. She could go to a home with teens and needs to be an only dog. She has not been exposed to cats. Her foster says, `Moxie loves everyone she meets. She is super smart, comes when called, holds eye contact when dinner is placed down and waits for ok before diving in. She is the most patient girl. Super smart Moxie will quickly learn whatever she is taught. She is the best companion, affectionate and funny. She’ll follow you everywhere and will happily accept affection all day long!`She is available for adoption in Hopkinton or Newton by appointment.
