Story
Hi, I’m Dollup. I’m a Bichon/Poodle born 1/16/24. I am fluffy, very energetic, the most mature and independent of my litter. I like to find a lap to snuggle on but a blanket is fine sometimes too. I let my brothers think they’re faster than me when we play chase but I’m just being nice. I like to sit back and watch everyone, even on the TV. I’m pretty easy going. I’m still learning to go potty outside. If you think I may be the tiny dog for you, let’s meet! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $850.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 10:47 pm

Story
They call me Moze. I’m a tan and white fluffy Bichon/Poodle born 1/16/24. Most of the time, I’m wrestling my brothers or trying to find a toy to play with. I am still potty training and learning about leashes. We are all kennel trained. I don’t need much room to do the zoomies when I’m excited because I’m only 4lbs. I love everyone I come across but I am looking for my forever family. Is that you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Ruby is adorable. For a long time, she was part of a two dog home, and a two parent home. Within the last two years, I lost my wife and her older brother Dog. I travel a lot for work, which leaves her with a sitter or boarded far too often. She needs daily love. Now... she does like to bark at things happening outside sometimes, she's a good protector. She is best in a fenced in yard and loves to go on walks. If she gets out, she will runoff and explore the neighbors yards, always returning exhausted. She will bark on a leash but has never bitten anyone or another dog. She iss protective of her owner but friendly with other dogs and people. She is quite healthy, sees her vet regularly and gets groomed about every six weeks. It breaks my heart to post this but I'm sure there is someone out there who would make a perfect match.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there, I'm Lila! I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'll be your best friend forever. At home, I'm a laid-back girl who loves to lounge in my cozy kennel and catch some z's. But don't let that fool you—I've got plenty of love to give! I'll come out for kisses and pets whenever you need them. I'm doing great with leash training, and I am doing great with potty training and haven't had a single accident inside, so keep me on a routine and all is good! I get along well with other dogs, even those with lots of puppy energy. While I'm not much of a player myself, I'm always happy to share my toys and treats with my furry friends. Speaking of treats, I've got a bit of a sweet tooth. I absolutely adore pumpkin, peanut butter, and any kind of meat treats. And bones? Well, I'll lick and nibble on them, but I'm more than happy to share them with the puppy. I'm crate trained too, and I don't mind sharing my space with another dog. As for walking on a leash, I'm getting better every day. Sometimes I might get a bit tangled up and stop walking, but with a little guidance, I'll get back on track in no time. Overall, I'm just a sweet and easygoing girl looking for a forever home. I may be a bit obsessed with staring at myself in the mirror, but hey, who can blame me? I'm pretty adorable if I do say so myself! So if you're looking for a loving companion to join you on all your adventures, I'm your girl! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Bo and Penny have been together since they were puppies. They are 11 years old now. Bo is a Bichon and Penny is a Bichon/Shih tzu. They are looking for a home together where people will be home with them all the time. Bo and Penny were surrendered as they did not do well being left home alone in an apartment while owner was at work. They are doing amazing in their foster home with a fenced yard and other dogs for entertainment. They are potty trained, kennel trained, and know a few commands. Walk well on leash. Bo does pull some. They will bark when someone is at the door. They are really sweet and playful at times. They get along with dogs and they sleep with their foster mom. Adoption fee is $300 plus tax each. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  *BONDED PAIR with Jilly Hi, I’m Mika, a gentle, loving Bichon. We Bichons are known for our cheerful, kind, playful dispositions. That is exactly who my bestie (Jilly) and I are, with everyone we meet. We greet people with affection, joy, and eagerness to please. But we also need to stay with each other. Jilly’s the sillier, bolder one and she helps me approach new situations with more courage. I’m more laid back and a constant, calming influence on her. When we meet someone new, I’ll let Jilly lead the way and follow along, wagging my tail like crazy, hoping they’ll want to pet me. (And everyone loves to pet me.) My idea of the perfect family: We are the best of both worlds for a family who’s home a lot – but who may need to be out during the day. When you’re with us, you will be snuggled and followed around by your two loyal companions. When you’re away, we are calm, quiet, and happy because we’re together. When you can take us with you, we will hop into our car safety seat, let you buckle us in, and quietly enjoy the ride. Things that make me happy: I love trotting through the house, diving under blankets, exploring everything, getting long belly rubs, napping beside my humans with Jilly’s head resting on me, and giving kisses. I’m not into chew toys or dog treats, but I love mealtimes. (I love them a little too much. Portion control is important for me.) Crate-trained:  We don't like being shut in a crate or kennel with the door closed and will get vocal. The good news: when we need to be contained, we quietly hang out in our soft-side, open-top, cushioned octagon kennel, in our foster mom's room, with access to a hallway, and two wee pads. We haven't had an accident in that area for weeks.   Things I’m learning: I’ve discovered that I enjoy being outside and with encouragement, I’ve been learning that walking (even a little running) on a leash is fun. I’m also working on potty training, and showing continuous improvement going potty outside. I’ve gotten really good about using wee pads in the house but do still have accidents. Why us? Jilly’s bio said it for both of us: my foster family has owned and fostered many, many dogs over the years and they are unanimous about this: you will probably never meet another dog (not to mention a pair of dogs) who are more generous with their love and devotion for you. We love children. We love adults of all ages (even the groomer and the veterinarian). We will make you smile, give you kisses and cuddles, and we will follow you wherever you go, wagging our tails behind you. Thank you for taking the time to read this far. I hope you’d like to meet us and give us a chance to join your family and enjoy many years of happiness with you. XOX Mika.
