Meet Darling 💕a 4-Year-Old Female Bichon When you meet Darling, you’ll immediately understand how she got her name. This precious girl truly is a darling, with a sweet, gentle nature that is sure to melt your heart. Darling is a breeder release, and she is now ready to discover the joys of being a cherished family companion. Because she is learning about life outside of a breeding environment, she will need a securely fenced yard and would do best in a home with another friendly dog. Having a canine companion will help her learn the routines of everyday life and show her what it means to simply be a loved family dog. Darlin gets along well with other dogs and is also good with children. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but once she feels comfortable, her happy personality begins to shine. Talk to her and you’ll see her whole-body wiggle with happiness! I have not heard her bark, so she may be a quieter girl. She is currently working on her house training. She will go outside when she is given the opportunity, but she may still have an occasional accident. Her new family will need to continue offering her frequent opportunities to go outside while giving her the patience, consistency, and encouragement she needs as she learns. Darling was very overweight when she came to us at 17.8 lbs. We have worked hard to get her weight down to have surgery. She is currently 13.7 lbs but should be closer to 11-12 lbs, so she will need a low-calorie diet and appropriate exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. Thankfully, she loves her vegetables, so healthy treats are something she can enjoy! Darling just had a dental cleaning with a few extractions. She is recovering well and has had no complications from the procedure. Darlin is a very special little girl who deserves a patient and loving family willing to give her the time, guidance, and affection she needs to blossom. She has so much love to give, and watching her gain confidence and discover the joys of being a beloved companion will be incredibly rewarding. **Meet Lulu & Penny – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Next Chapter** Lulu, a sweet Bichon Frise, and Penny, an adorable Poodle, are a bonded pair of approximately 10-year-old best friends. After their beloved owner passed away, they found themselves looking for a new family to love together. These girls share a beautiful bond. Penny is blind due to untreated dry eye syndrome and receives eye drops three times a day. Lulu has cataracts with decreased vision, but she naturally helps guide Penny around and has become her little "seeing-eye dog." You'll often find them cuddled up together, whether they're napping, relaxing, or sleeping side by side. While in our care, both girls had dental cleanings with multiple extractions and had several lumps removed. Each has just three teeth remaining, but don't worry—they eat just fine! Penny is a total lovebug who enjoys curling up on your lap and soaking up attention. Even though she's blind, she quickly learns her surroundings and confidently navigates the house. Lulu is a gentle, affectionate girl who enjoys being close to her people and blossoms with a little time and reassurance. Both girls are crate trained and leash trained. They feel most comfortable sleeping in an x-pen with their crate and soft beds available. They're doing well with potty training and happily go outside, but like many dogs adjusting to a new home, they may have occasional accidents during the transition. A consistent routine will help them continue to succeed. Lulu and Penny would love a calm home with older children or adults, and they get along well with other dogs and cats.
