Marshall is a breeder release Bichon Frise born December 2025. He is cute and a bit shy at first, but really likes people and his other roommates. There isn't anything wrong with this little boy, he simply got to old and was released to us. Marshall is still a puppy and needs to learn his potty training and the rules of a new home. Marshall would be a sweet addition to any family, but would probably do best in a home with older kids. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. As a baby, he’s still working on all the basics—potty training, crate training, and leash skills—but he approaches everything with a gentle, eager-to-please spirit that makes him such a joy to guide. This sweet boy is the perfect balance of playful and affectionate. He loves romping around with his foster brother, chasing toys (especially squeaky ones and balls!), and enjoying all the fun that comes with puppyhood. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion—he will need another dog in his forever home to help him continue learning and to share in all his adventures. When playtime winds down, Oolong is all about the snuggles. He’s a loving little guy who happily curls up close, offering soft kisses and soaking in all the affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle, even-tempered, and has a calm sweetness that makes him incredibly endearing. One of his best traits? He sleeps soundly through the night like a champ—already giving you a little glimpse of the wonderful companion he’s becoming. I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Meet Gertie, a little teddy bear who is still learning that the world is a safe place 🧸 Gertie is a breeder release, which means everything outside is very new and often overwhelming for her. Because of this, she is not a fit for every home. She will require a securely fenced yard and must have another confident dog in the home to help her continue to build trust and confidence. Her future family will need to be patient and committed to helping her adjust at her pace. In her foster home, Gertie’s personality really shines. She is playful, spunky, and loves to run around with her dog friend. She enjoys toys, has a fun, goofy side, and once she feels safe, she becomes a total cuddle bug who loves curling up in your lap. She prefers being close to her people and will let you know if she feels left out. While she may protest being kenneled at first, she settles well when her kennel is nearby and she knows you’re close. Gertie is already showing how smart she is by learning “sit,” and she is making great progress with potty training. She will just need continued consistency and routine to keep building on that success.
