Welcome Whimsy the teddy bear puppy. Her brother Beans just got adopted. These pups were bought from a breeder, and their new mom quickly became ill and could not keep them. So, they came to rescue. This little 6 month old girl is living up to the definition of whimsical. She loves to play games. She also enjoys playing with the resident dogs. She is working hard on leash walking and potty training. She loves to stay close by her people and loves to snuggle. She will be available post spay the week of Feb 16th. Once she feels safe, her fun personality shines—she loves to play with other dogs, run around, and enjoy her toys. She would be happiest in a home with one or two playful dog friends to help build her confidence. Suzy does well with cats and enjoys a calmer environment. Because she’s on the shy side, she may not be the best match for homes with small children. She can be a flight risk if doors aren’t carefully managed, so a secure, fenced yard is important at this time. She is currently working on leash training and housebreaking, and she’s making progress with patience and routine. At night, Suzy’s favorite place is snuggled in bed with her people. ***Drako is BONDED to Blakely and they need to be adopted together!******Drako has Addison`s disease and will need to be treated with monthly injections and have regular bloodwork for the rest of his life***Meet Drako and Blakely!This mixed/matched pair found themselves in a Texas impound after their owner died and there were too many animals in the home for family to take in. They spent some time in this rescue where they learned how bonded these two were. When separated, they become incredibly stressed, depressed, and shut down. However, once they are reunited with each other, they become happy, confident and loving!They were having trouble finding a rescue that was able to take them both so they then made the long journey to Minnesota to come to our facility! Blakely is the younger one at roughly about 1 year old where her buddy Drako is about 2 or 3. Blakely was estimated to be some sort Kelpie mix, but it is really hard to say for sure. Drako is estimated to be some sort of Maltese or yorkie mix. This adorable pair is on the hunt to find their perfect forever home where they can spend their days playing, cuddling up together, and romping through a yard. Meet Willie! 🤍 Willie is a beautiful 1-year-old Maltese–Shih Tzu mix weighing 12.4 lbs who absolutely thrives with other dogs. This busy, bouncy, happy boy loves playing with canine friends, tossing toys, and zooming around the yard. If Willie had his way, he’d live in a house full of dogs — he truly prefers dogs over people. Willie is not shy, but due to his past he is evasive about being caught and needs patience and a calm approach. If rushed or pressured, he may growl and has nipped, so allowing him to move at his own pace is important. He has had bad experiences with men, so we are looking for a home without men and children as they may not follow these boundaries. Most of the time, though, he’s playful, energetic, and full of personality. He is fully potty trained, uses a doggie door, and is kennel trained, which has been very helpful for safely containing him when leashing or handling is needed. A securely fenced yard is required, as he will not allow a leash at first until trust is established. Willie will do best in an adult-only home with another confident dog, or 10. He loves to play but can be a bit annoying to dogs who aren’t interested in play, so a tolerant canine companion is ideal. Willie is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands dog behavior and respects boundaries. With consistency and trust, he will continue to do great. Meet Bo 💘 Bow is a 14-week-old Teddy Bear and one of our adorable Valentine’s Day Litter. This little guy is spunky, happy, and the most outgoing and friendly of the bunch! As a breeder release puppy, Bow is still learning about the world, but he is embracing it with a wagging tail. He loves attention, enjoys playtime, and is quick to engage with people. While he may still need continued socialization and guidance as he grows, his confident and affectionate personality is already shining through. Bow will thrive in a home that is ready for all the fun (and responsibility!) that comes with a young puppy — training, structure, patience, and lots of positive reinforcement. Like all Shih Tzu/Bichon mixes, Bo will require professional grooming every 6–8 weeks at minimum, along with brushing several times a week to keep his soft coat free of mats.
