I am a friendly, gentle girl who prefers a slow paced environment with lots of time for love! I can be a little shy at first, and get nervous when I see new people and dogs far off, but once I meet them I am happy to make friends! I get along well with other dogs as long as they respect mny signals when I need space. I also get along well with cats! I do need slow, careful introductions to new furry friends because I am a little shy at first. When I am feeling playful I will run and play with cats and dogs, but I am very respectful and gentle. I have never been crate trained and prefer to have free reign of the house, but I am totally potty trained and very well behaved! If you are looking for a little sweetie to dote on and add some love to your life, I'm your girl!

Hi, my name is Yoshi and I'm from MN. Meet Yoshi — Professional Couch Lounger, Beginner Waddler! 🐾❤️ Yoshi is an approximately 8-year-old sweetheart looking for a home after his previous owner had to surrender him due to health issues. He’s a laid-back gentleman who loves people, is great with kids, and is happy just hanging out on the sofa. He’s house-trained, non-destructive, and trustworthy when left alone. No puppy shenanigans here! Yoshi currently shares a kennel with his buddy Cooper and sleeps peacefully through the night, but he’d be delighted to snuggle in your bed, too! He’s great on a leash, although right now it’s more of a waddle than a power walk! 😂 He’s carrying some extra weight and needs a family willing to help him get healthier with regular walks and sensible portions. He's currently not the most motivated to walk! Toys and playtime are still a bit of a mystery to him, but being a very good boy? He’s got that figured out! Yoshi is ready for a fresh start, a little help finding his waistline, and someone to love. Two big things he brings to the table: a big heart and an impressive talent for lounging!

Story
Hi, my name is Ferris Wheel and I am from Iowa! Ferris Wheel (we call him Peanut) is an adorable 15 pound, 7 month old neutered, male.  Ferris Wheel’s first months were not the best and he is lacking in early socialization. People, loud noises, and new environments, tend to scare him. I took him to a couple of adoption events and he did fantastic. He was curious to meet the dogs, approached a couple of people for petting and even ate a few treats from a stranger. Now that he feels relaxed in our fenced-in backyard, he gets the zoomies and runs around and around. I love watching him enjoy himself. He has also learned that toys can be fun and can entertain himself. He enjoys sitting with you on the couch and sleeping in bed with you (but doesn’t have to). As Ferris Wheel is fearful of new people and noises, he barks a lot when surprised or alarmed and he may attempt to nip when startled.  He can also be mouthy when playing or excited. He will benefit from obedience training to help him learn alternative behaviors. Ferris Wheel is a loving male with an under socialized beginning.  He gets along fine with my senior dogs and listens if they tell him to back off.  I think he would thrive in a quiet home (no children, no cats, no shared walls) that would enjoy taking him places and enrolling him in positive motivational obedience training.  It would be very rewarding to watch him get over his fears, learn acceptable behaviors and develop self confidence.  He needs someone that wants to help him become a happy, relaxed little guy.

Hi, my name is Cooper and I'm from MN. Meet Cooper, a handsome white-and-black gentleman with a BIG love for people! Cooper is an affectionate boy who loves being around people and soaking up attention. He is happiest when he has people nearby to love on. He is eager to please. Cooper loves kids, dogs and cats (not tested by foster however). He has been with other dogs his whole life and would love a buddy to hang with. He is house trained. He sleeps all night (in a kennel in our bedroom) and would love to be invited into your bed. He’s a snuggle bug and 100% good boy. Cooper came into rescue when his previous owner could no longer care for him due to health concerns. He’s now looking for a loving home where he can enjoy plenty of companionship, attention, walks, and all the affection he deserves. Coop needs to trim down a bit, so an active home would be beneficial to help him get healthier! He is working on learning to walk on a leash and the experiencing the joy of a good sniff. Could Cooper be your new best friend? If you’re looking for a loving little companion who wants to be part of your world, Cooper might just be your guy!
