Kenai is a very good boy. He is very loving and affectionate, and desires to be with humans or other dogs. He plays hard and loves to go on walks. Kenai usually walks the human, not the other way around. He has been with another dog his entire life and may do better with a friend if possible. He is very sweet. He is house trained and up to date on all of his shots and immunizations.

Our foster dog Pecan sure hopes so!Pecan is a 3 year old Bichon mix who came to us after being stray for a bit. He was a bit of a matted mess but after a good grooming session, had a great glow-up! We are still working with him on his tear stains but those should also clear up.Pecan's daily goal is to be with you as much as possible. In your lap, under your feet, Pecan doesn't care, as long as you are together! Do you work remotely? Pecan would love to hang out in your office as you have a conference call (he promises to be quiet).Do you have another dog? Great! Pecan loves other dogs and is good at doing what another dog wants to do - be calm, hang out, play, he's down for anything. Do you have a cat? Great! Pecan is good at ignoring them, but he might try to play just in case they want to be friends.Do you have older kids? Cool! Pecan likes kids who have some dog experience and understand that sometimes dogs need space and peace and quiet. Do you have a beard? Cool, just know that Pecan might need a moment to check out and approve your facial hair.Pecan is house and crate trained and friendly to everyone. He loves baths, which is great because he will need regular grooming. Hi, my name is Zipper and I am from Iowa! Zipper is starting to come out of her shell and there's some spunk shining through! Even though she has her guard up a bit, she is sweet, adventurous, and not frightened one bit by the grumpy old resident dog when he defends a cozy spot. She pays very little notice to the resident cats and is absolutely intrigued by other dogs barking (she hasn't joined in yet!). Even though she is still learning to trust, there is a quiet acquiescence when asked to do something new and never much protest. She is a sweet girl who just needs a patient and loving family of her own to show her the world can be a fun place. From the Vet: Zipper was diagnosed with a grade 2/6 heart murmur before arriving into rescue with The BB. We will plan to recheck this in early July. Occasionally this can resolve in young puppies. If it is still present, but soft and quiet as is documented in his medical record, there is no further diagnostic work up that would be pursued by TBB. Adopters would be recommended to continue rechecking and monitoring with primary vet every 6-12 months. If cardiology workup recommended and elected by adopter, would be at the discretion of them and their vet.

Hi, my name is Ferris Wheel and I am from Iowa! Adorable, friendly, fun, housetrained, cuddly, meet Ferris Wheel. Whoever adopts this little boy is going to have a loving new best friend. What a difference a week makes. He came to us scared to go outside, scared of the food dish and toys, hiding between or behind my legs or behind the couch cushions, scared of being picked up, but wanting to be next to me 100% of the time. Now, he has the zoomies inside and out and is loving life. He is a puppy and a covered bathroom garbage can is a good idea. He is starting to understand and play with toys. He sleeps with us at night. He would prefer to not be kenneled.

His favorite things are tummy rubs, and a pile of toys near him. After getting his zoomies out, he'll lay near foster mom and nap, or play with toys. He takes a while to be comfortable with new human friends, so, applicants should take this into consideration. Merry-Go-Round does well with other dogs, but, hasn't met any cats.
