She is learning that people are safe and is coming out of her shell. Flufferkins hasn’t learned the joy of toys or playing yet. With some patience a confident dog in the home, she will learn. In terms of house training, Flufferkins has learned to go outside when the door is opened and comes back in when it’s time. She will need routine and rewards to help her get it down. Flufferkins tends to hang around her crate, especially when she is nervous. She has slowly widened her area of exploration as she gets more comfortable. She has done well in her foster home with loud children and her foster sister, Miss Scarlett. Plum loves food - especially cheese! She's still learning how to "dog" and doesn't quite get the purpose of a leash, squeaky toys or balls... But give her a crinkly snack toy and she's on it. Plum also loves to snuggle up with a blankie or towel and is good about using puppy pads. She likes observing things, so she doesn't need to be in the middle of the action, but if she's ignored for too long she'll bark for some affection. Miss Scarlett is a 6-year-old Bichon Frise weighing in at about 12 lbs. Happy and sweet, this little lady is just starting to show her playful side. She has the cutest little tail wags, and her foster family is seeing them more and more! Her favorite thing to do is to walk around the house and look at *everything* and the same can be said for being outside in the yard. There's so much to learn about and see! After all, getting used to her foster home has been a big adjustment, but she's done beautifully with kids in the home and her fellow foster dog, Plum. She's still getting used to leash walking and going up and down stairs. Coming from a puppy mill, she's still learning how to "dog." Khaleesi is a nearly 10 year-old Bichapoo who has been a beloved family .She is affectionate, loyal, and full of personality, with a spunky spirit and lots to say.she can definitely be vocal and alert you to everything happening around her. She would enjoys frequent outdoor time. She is used to being part of a home environment and loves companionship. She has recently developed a neck mass that may need veterinary evaluation, and she may have some developing medical needs. Making the decision to seek placement for her has been incredibly painful. Over the past several years, I have developed significant chronic health issues that have greatly affected my physical stamina and daily functioning. As her sole caregiver, I am no longer physically, emotionally, or financially able to provide the level of care and veterinary support she may need going forward. My greatest hope is to find her a safe, loving home where she can receive the time, attention, and medical care she deserves.
