Story
Beth is a sweet 6-year-old Bichon mix. She was released into our care from a breeding facility where she was used to produce puppies for profit. Her soft white coat is growing in after being shaved. She is at an ideal weight of 11.5 lbs. Beth recently received her spay operation and has had a dental cleaning. She is vaccinated and microchipped. Beth is learning to trust people and gets braver everyday. She enjoys a cuddle and even gives the occasional kiss. She is very gentle and quiet around the house, sometimes preferring to be tucked away in her dog bed observing the activity of the home. She is being introduced to walking on the leash and enjoys being outside for short periods. She can be left for several hours on her own in the house and is not destructive. Beth is working on housetraining and relieves herself outside in the fenced backyard or uses a pee pad. She is eating a mixture of both soft food and kibble and enjoys treats occasionally. Beth sleeps on dog beds or people beds, where she sleeps peacefully through the night. She has not yet learned to jump onto furniture or use stairs. She would be fine being the only dog or sharing a home with another dog of similar size and age. Her preferred home would be with someone who is home at least part of the day and would work with her on her journey to becoming her best self. Beth is looking forward to being a wonderful companion and a beloved member of her forever family.November 28, 2025, 7:58 am

Story
Frosty is a special 10 yr old Bichon Frise mix who definitely has had a few trust issues in the past. When she came into foster, she needed time to adjust to her new surroundings and wasn't sure she could trust the people who were fostering her.  With a great deal of patience and love, she has blossomed into a very loving dog who loves to cuddle with her foster mom on the couch or in bed.  At first, she did not like her face, neck or near her tail touched.  Touching these areas brought out her fear of people and she would snap at them.  Over time, Frosty has learned that people have good intentions and there is nothing sneaky or nefarious going on. When approached properly and positively, she welcomes human interactions.     She has been fully vetted and is up to date on her vaccines.  Going to the groomer is very stressful for Frosty so she is given medication to calm her before she goes but other than that she does not receive any medication other than her flea and tick meds.     Frosty will sit, stay, and will come quickly back to you when called.  She loves exploring the backyard and loves spending time there with her person.  She is housetrained but also uses pee pads when needed.   Frosty eats wet food twice a day due to the lack of teeth and also loves things like liver treats, watermelon, strawberries and broccoli.  Mention the word treat and she comes running to see what you have for her.   Frosty loves to go for walks and as soon as she sees the leash, sits quietly until you clip it onto her harness.  She  actually prances rather than walks. Using a harness is best for her as she sometimes pulls when she first starts out.  Other dogs, traffic and other people walking or riding do not bother her at all.  She is only interested in the next good smell and where she is going.  Frosty loves going for car rides and once you are on your way settles down and goes to sleep.   Frosty has been in the company of women and men but makes friends easier with women. An experienced owner with lots of time and patience would be the best fit for Frosty. Once she has trust in her caregiver, she will lavish you with love, loyalty and companionship       September 22, 2025, 8:41 am

Story
Hello… my name is Hari. I’m a 5-year-old Maltese mix girl, about 6kg, and for the first time in my life… I’m learning what it means to live for myself. For many years, my whole world was a tiny metal cage. No sunlight. No soft voice calling my name with love. Only the sound of humans demanding one thing from me over and over—to be a mother, again and again, even though I never got to hold or keep any of my babies. Whenever my puppies were taken from me, I tried to chew through the bars to reach them. My teeth became worn down from trying so hard… trying to find them, trying not to give up. I cried quietly and waited, hoping someone would finally come for me. One day, someone did. I was rescued—saved from that place—and for the very first time, I was given a chance to live a life that belongs to me. A life where I never have to breed again. A life where nothing precious is taken away from me anymore. I’m a very calm, very gentle girl. I hardly ever bark. And when I see people, fear isn’t the first thing I feel—joy is. I walk toward you slowly, shyly, but with a little wagging tail… hoping you’ll notice me. Hoping you’ll love me. But everything outside that cage is new to me. Home life, walks, daily routines, learning where to go potty… I’m five years old, but in many ways, I’m just beginning. I will need someone patient, someone kind, who can teach me what every dog should’ve known from the start—that I’m safe, that I’m wanted, and that love doesn’t disappear. I love people more than anything. I feel most at peace when I’m beside a human. If the house is empty for too long, I might become anxious… not because I’m difficult, but because I spent so many years wondering if anyone would ever stay. I’m learning that family means “forever,” and I hope you can show me what that feels like. I don’t want to be a tool anymore. I want to be a family member. I want to spend the rest of my life giving and receiving love—real love, the kind that stays. I’m searching for someone who will become my very first true family. Someone who will fill the years I have left with warmth, safety, and memories I’ve never been allowed to have. If you choose me… I promise I will give you every bit of my heart. With hope, Hari 🤍🐾
