Story
Hi, I’m Brook. Life hasn’t always been easy for me, and I’m still learning how to feel safe in the world. I can be very shy and get scared of new people, places, and noises, but if you look into my big brown eyes, you’ll see how much I want to be loved. In a calm, patient home, I can truly begin to relax. I’ve done well in a foster home with a quiet, friendly dog, and I feel most comfortable when I have a gentle companion to help me along. Once I’ve had the time I need to come out of my shell, I will shower you with love and loyalty. I’m looking for someone who understands that I may take things slowly at first but could blossom with kindness and patience. If you give me the chance, I’ll become your best girl.

Story
What we’re witnessing is nothing short of a miracle. This beautiful soul, once left to suffer in neglect, has blossomed into the joyful, loving, and resilient pup we see today. Whitney’s journey is a testament to the power of love and care, and it fills our hearts to see her thriving after all she's been through. From being a stray with no hope to becoming a sweet, affectionate companion, Whitney has proven that even the toughest beginnings can't stop the power of a second chance. Her foster parents say “Whitney has adapted to an indoor home life like a champ in very short time. She bonded quickly and greets us with smiles and wagging tail when we get home and follows us around the house. She loves taking long walks, sleeping on her dog beds, romping in the grass and lounging in her crate. She is friendly with everyone she meets. She is learning what toys are. Given her history, she is not fond of other dogs but she has enough love to fill any household all by herself.” Whitney's resilience is nothing short of inspiring, and we know she will continue to shine bright in the loving arms of her new family.

Story
This big handsome guy is Cowboy! He’s approximately 2 years old and around 50 pounds. He comes from the working -scenthound group and is very strong, so he’ll do best with either a big, fenced yard for exercise, or someone experienced to walk a strong, athletic dog on-leash. He loves his people and is extremely loyal. He’s been tested with some mild mannered dogs and did beautifully.

This playful Black Mouth Cur came to us with two others from Seminole Animal Control. He’s a sweet little guy who loves his playtime with his humans. He is full of personality and loves to snuggle as close as he can get.  He enjoys his squeaky toys, but is a little scared of loud noises.  Aside from that, he is a perfect love bug who just needs a family to love him. Story
Valentino is a Black Mouth Cur who came to ARC from Seminole Animal Control with two others. This guy was scheduled to be euthanized because he exhibits some stranger danger. He is nervous upon meeting new people but, given time (and Pup-peroni), he comes around and learns to trust. Valentino is looking for a quiet home that is not too busy with people coming and going. If this sounds like you, he could be the best buddy that you 've been looking for. Story
Hi my name is Hickory! I was rescued with several other dogs from a property where our owner was no longer physically able to care for us. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue took us and provided the general and medical care we needed to be ready for forever homes! While I am still a little shy, I warm up very quickly once I know you- especially if you have some good treats! I am estimated at 9 months old as of the end of January and look like a black mouth/shepherd mix. I have been friendly with other dogs here. I’ve only met cats a few times, but they seem okay, too. Due to my background before being rescued, I am looking for someone who will understand my shyness and help me become more confident. I would love it if we could take some classes together so I can learn how to be the best dog possible! My $350 adoption fee includes vet check, up-to-date vaccinations, heaertworm test (negative), neuter, microchip and deworming. If you want to make me part of your family please go to www.gofar.dog and complete a free, non-binding adoption application. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21
