Balto is an ADORABLE 3 year old, 65lb Male Black Mouth Cur (Breed is always a guess without a DNA test). He is currently being fostered in Lake Worth Fl, with a family who has 3 young active children. He loves to run around in the backyard with the kids playing fetch and other games. Balto is completely potty trained and crate trained. We rescued Balto from Animal Care and Control after he went unnoticed amongst the countless other dogs, who came and went since he was there for 4 long months. It’s honestly inconceivable that this sweet boy was never adopted. He loves affection, he walks perfectly on a leash and is good with other dogs. He so deserves his own family for the Holidays! Balto is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in adopting Balto and giving him a loving home, please fill out our adoption application. Peele is the sweetest Hound / Black Mouth Cur mix that's about 6-years-old. Peele's story is one thatshows the true devotion of a dog and human bond. He was living in the car with his owner for nearly a year which is not easy for 80lb dog. His mom was homeless and refused to move into housing that wouldn't allow her to bring Peele so she chose to stay with him in her car. Good samaritans, including one of our staff members, were trying to get Peele and his mom somewhere safe. Finally, Peele was able to come to Abandoned Pet Rescue and his owner found affordable housing. Peele is a gentle boy that walks well on a leash and loves affection. He is friendly with other dogs and would be a nice companion for many types of families. Hi, I’m Babycakes, but my friends call me Sweet Cakes! I’m a 6-year-old, 45-pound Boxer / Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart as big as my smile. I love going for walks, playing fetch, and curling up in the comfiest bed I can find. One of my favorite pastimes is burrowing under blankets where it’s warm, cozy, and perfect for snuggling. I’m a well mannered girl who knows several commands, including sit, paw, and heel, and I have excellent house manners. I’m also a big fan of water, so if you have a pool, I’ll happily be your new swim buddy. I especially enjoy long walks with the shelter volunteers, and I know exactly where the local pet store is because I love browsing through all the dog toys and tasty treats.I’m a smart cookie (or cake, that is!), full of personality and charm. Now I’m ready to blow out my candle and make my one big wish; a forever home where I can share all my love, cuddles, and sweet adventures.
