Story
Senior dogs make such great house guests. They are typically more relaxed and already know household rules. If this is the type of dog that might fit in your household, then we believe Hope is for you. Hope is confident on her own but thoroughly enjoys affection from people she trusts and would prefer to be a lap dog. She's an 10-year-old senior black mouth cur who weighs around 53 pounds. Hope enjoys other dogs that have an independent personality, another senior would be ideal. If you think Hope would make a great addition to your family and you own your home in either Volusia, Seminole, Orange, Lake, or Osceola county FL, then please read over our adoption process and fill out an adoption screening form here: https://mettarescuefamily.org/adoptable-dogs   ##1193524##

Story
I found precious Dee on the side of the road around 3 years ago. She has been staying at my grandpas house and he’s been helping take care of her but she need a life. My grandpa is not able to care for her in a way that’s fair for her anymore. He sleeps all day. She needs a home where she can have a life and people around her throughout the day and walks and activity. I walk her but she needs way more fun and exercise. She loves to snuggle and play and run. She does good with other dogs but a meet and greet is ofcourse needed if you have your own pets. We did get her spayed. I looked for her family everywhere for a long time. I think she was abandoned at this point. We love her. I will always love her and help with anything with her. If she is adopted, I am like a family member that will help her whenever she need it so feel free to reach out to me if you ever needed anything. She deserves a wonderful life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Raven has been waiting for a home since 2019!!!!From Raven: My name is Raven, and I was on my own in the woods for so long trying hard to survive. A nice lady rescued me and took me to Judy who made me healthy. That was way back in 2019. Yes, it is true!  I have been waiting since 2019 for a home. Wow!  Can you imagine how happy I would be if I knew the joy of a real home and jumping on the couch to cuddle with my human or just having a backyard of my own in which to play?   Because of my unfortunate background, I am naturally shy with new people, but I warm up and truly would love my own special someone on whom I could bestow my love and devotion. Even though I am a little bit older, there is a bunch of play in me, and I especially like a hard plastic ball.  When you throw balls for me, I may or may not bring it back….depends on my mood. LOL!    Because I am shy and uncertain, it would be lovely to have someone who is home most of the day.l. Honestly, I am just the sweetest girl ever and I know we would love each other so much. It is so hard to see other dogs keep getting picked and here I sit, still waiting after all this time for my very own home that is adult only and I am the one and only pet. More About Raven: The word “rescue” is meant for dogs like Raven who desperately needed to be rescued from her dangerous situation and now very much needs a family to rescue/bring her into their home. This incredibly sweet girl has so much love to offer.  Just look into her eyes and you will see liquid love.  Raven will need a patient, caring family to slowly bring out the best in her and let her blossom into her best doggie self.    We have discovered that she is more personable with males rather than females. She needs a home with a securely fenced backyard, as walks (at least for now) are pretty scary for her.  Who knows what she may have endured living in the woods?   She enjoys playing in the yard with a ball, but then appreciates a nice cozy nap.   When it is time to do her business, she needs the backyard in which to potty because she will not go on leash.   This is not uncommon in the doggie world. Do you have a big heart for rescues?   Then please consider Raven.   She needs an adult only home that is calm and quiet with no other pets and with owners who are home pretty much all day every day to help build her self-confidence.     This super gentle, super beautiful girl has so much love and joy to offer; it is buried inside just waiting to be brought out by that special loving adopter/foster who will be well rewarded with a devoted furry companion.   Please open your heart to Raven and fill out an application to come meet her!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 7:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey, How's it going? My name is Mopar and I enjoy Yappy Hours! Obviously, as you can see I am quite handsome.   But I am also strong and have a great build just like the car I am named after. But I am not all brawn, I am also very smart and sweet. I know tons of commands that my friends at the training camp taught me.  I need someone that will take the time to continue working with me on the many commands I know. I love long walks, so if you jog or hike we will definitely get along. I also like relaxing and getting belly rubs and snuggles. Because I am strong, I will need someone that is able to handle me with walks because if I see a bicycle I get a little upset and need to have someone help me redirect so we can enjoy our outing.   The trainer that I worked with recommends that I go to a home with just one owner because I can get protective of the home and do not want anyone invading the space I feel I need to protect. About Training Camp: Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center  which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”. Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ). Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Loma Linda got her flight wings when Pilots for Paws brought her to PRBJ. After being here a few days and settling in, she gave birth to 11 pups. Thanks to the Pilots for Paws program Loma Linda and her pups have a second chance. Loma was adopted and now her pups are looking for their furever homes! The pups all have Loma's sweet disposition and each have beautiful coat patterns. Duarte is a playful pup who loves to romp around with any dog he meets!  He does need a bit more training on the leash and learning not to jump up on people because he wants to love everyone so much so we recommend him with older kids.  He is very food motivated so training would a breeze with him and has no problems with people taking toys or bowls from him!  If you think you could be Duarte's forever family then please submit an application for him. New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.    Please note a fenced backyard is required for this baby to romp and safely play   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 7:17 pm
