Story
Hi! I'm Mustard! A really nice man found me wandering the streets last summer. I wasn't even one year old at the time. I was underweight and had some sores on my skin. My finder brought me to the vet and got me all the medical attention I needed. I'm a young, super healthy pup ready for my forever home. Despite my rough beginnings, I love people and get super duper excited to meet new people. Could you and I go together like Mustard and ketchup? Mustard is a 1-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is medium energy and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He is too hyper and playful for smaller kids and would do best in an older kids home. Please note, Mustard is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $75 ##1518452##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From Raven: My name is Raven, and I was on my own in the woods for so long trying hard to survive. A nice lady rescued me and took me to Judy who made me healthy. That was way back in 2019. Yes, it is true!  I have been waiting since 2019 for a home. Wow!  Can you imagine how happy I would be if I knew the joy of a real home and jumping on the couch to cuddle with my human or just having a backyard of my own in which to play?   Because of my unfortunate background, I am naturally shy with new people, but I warm up and truly would love my own special someone on whom I could bestow my love and devotion. Even though I am a little bit older, there is a bunch of play in me, and I especially like a hard plastic ball.  When you throw balls for me, I may or may not bring it back….depends on my mood. LOL!    Because I am shy and uncertain, it would be lovely to have someone who is home most of the day.l. Honestly, I am just the sweetest girl ever and I know we would love each other so much. It is so hard to see other dogs keep getting picked and here I sit, still waiting after all this time for my very own home that is adult only and I am the one and only pet. More About Raven: The word “rescue” is meant for dogs like Raven who desperately needed to be rescued from her dangerous situation and now very much needs a family to rescue/bring her into their home. This incredibly sweet girl has so much love to offer.  Just look into her eyes and you will see liquid love.  Raven will need a patient, caring family to slowly bring out the best in her and let her blossom into her best doggie self.    We have discovered that she is more personable with males rather than females. She needs a home with a securely fenced backyard, as walks (at least for now) are pretty scary for her.  Who knows what she may have endured living in the woods?   She enjoys playing in the yard with a ball, but then appreciates a nice cozy nap.   When it is time to do her business, she needs the backyard in which to potty because she will not go on leash.   This is not uncommon in the doggie world. Do you have a big heart for rescues?   Then please consider Raven.   She needs an adult only home that is calm and quiet with no other pets and with owners who are home pretty much all day every day to help build her self-confidence.     This super gentle, super beautiful girl has so much love and joy to offer; it is buried inside just waiting to be brought out by that special loving adopter/foster who will be well rewarded with a devoted furry companion.   Please open your heart to Raven and fill out an application to come meet her!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 26, 2023, 6:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mopar is currently enrolled in training camp from Aug18-Oct27Hey, How's it going? My name is Mopar and I enjoy Yappy Hours!Obviously, as you can see I am quite handsome.   But I am also strong and have a great build just like the car I am named after. But I am not all brawn, I am also very smart and sweet. I know tons of commands that my friends at the training camp taught me. I need someone that will take the time to continue working with me on the many commands I know. I love long walks, so if you jog or hike we will definitely get along. I also like relaxing and getting belly rubs and snuggles. Because I am strong, I will need someone that is able to handle me with walks because if I see a bicycle I get a little upset and need to have someone help me redirect so we can enjoy our outing.   I like some other dogs, but I would do best alone because I like to be the one in charge. I would also do best in a home without children or they must be older.About Training Camp:Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the  Greyhound Advancement Center  which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. (Don’t worry, the dogs are treated very well and are the apple of their trainer’s eye ).Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We can not thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 26, 2023, 6:20 pm
