Story
Hi! I'm Mustard! A really nice man found me wandering the streets last summer. I wasn't even one year old at the time. I was underweight and had some sores on my skin. My finder brought me to the vet and got me all the medical attention I needed. I'm a young, super healthy pup ready for my forever home. Despite my rough beginnings, I love people and get super duper excited to meet new people. Could you and I go together like Mustard and ketchup? Mustard is a 1-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is medium energy and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He is too hyper and playful for smaller kids and would do best in an older kids home. Please note, Mustard is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee REDUCED: $75 ##1518452##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From Raven: My name is Raven, and I was on my own in the woods for so long trying hard to survive. A nice lady rescued me and took me to Judy who made me healthy. That was way back in 2019. Yes, it is true!  I have been waiting since 2019 for a home. Wow!  Can you imagine how happy I would be if I knew the joy of a real home and jumping on the couch to cuddle with my human or just having a backyard of my own in which to play?   Because of my unfortunate background, I am naturally shy with new people, but I warm up and truly would love my own special someone on whom I could bestow my love and devotion. Even though I am a little bit older, there is a bunch of play in me, and I especially like a hard plastic ball.  When you throw balls for me, I may or may not bring it back….depends on my mood. LOL!    Because I am shy and uncertain, it would be lovely to have someone who is home most of the day.l. Honestly, I am just the sweetest girl ever and I know we would love each other so much. It is so hard to see other dogs keep getting picked and here I sit, still waiting after all this time for my very own home that is adult only and I am the one and only pet. More About Raven: The word “rescue” is meant for dogs like Raven who desperately needed to be rescued from her dangerous situation and now very much needs a family to rescue/bring her into their home. This incredibly sweet girl has so much love to offer.  Just look into her eyes and you will see liquid love.  Raven will need a patient, caring family to slowly bring out the best in her and let her blossom into her best doggie self.    We have discovered that she is more personable with males rather than females. She needs a home with a securely fenced backyard, as walks (at least for now) are pretty scary for her.  Who knows what she may have endured living in the woods?   She enjoys playing in the yard with a ball, but then appreciates a nice cozy nap.   When it is time to do her business, she needs the backyard in which to potty because she will not go on leash.   This is not uncommon in the doggie world. Do you have a big heart for rescues?   Then please consider Raven.   She needs an adult only home that is calm and quiet with no other pets and with owners who are home pretty much all day every day to help build her self-confidence.     This super gentle, super beautiful girl has so much love and joy to offer; it is buried inside just waiting to be brought out by that special loving adopter/foster who will be well rewarded with a devoted furry companion.   Please open your heart to Raven and fill out an application to come meet her!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 2, 2023, 8:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bonney, an approximately one-year old mixed breed with the sweetest temperament and the most unique coat! At about 50 lbs, she’s just a medium sized girl. She is dog-friendly, and both potty trained and crate trained. She is currently fostered with a young child and another pup, and gets along great with them! She met a cat in passing and was interested but not pushy, and did well. Bonney loves to be where you are, loves toys and chew bones, and will happily carry toys around with her. Though she enjoys playing, she is low energy during the day and will happily nap while you work. She loves belly rubs and pets and will gently paw for more. Bonney does well on a leash, but can get a little excited when she sees lizards!   She is a truly special companion, she can't wait to explore the world with you by her side. Her adoption donation is $210, she is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Senior dogs make such great house guests. They are typically more relaxed and already know household rules. If this is the type of dog that might fit in your household, then we believe Hope is for you. Hope is confident on her own but thoroughly enjoys affection from people she trusts and would prefer to be a lap dog. She's an 9-year-old senior black mouth cur who weighs around 53 pounds. Hope enjoys other dogs that have an independent personality, another senior would be ideal. If you think Hope would make a great addition to your family and you own your home in either Volusia, Seminole, Orange, Lake, or Osceola county FL, then please read over our adoption process and fill out an adoption screening form here: https://mettarescuefamily.org/adoptable-dogs   ##1193524##
