Hi, my name is Rallo. I am from Minnesota. From his foster: Rallo is ready to roll! This happy, affectionate, well mannered fellow checks ALL the boxes. He is completely house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. He's dog friendly, great on a leash, and loves all people. With his shiny black coat and radar ears that stand up when on alert, he's earned the nickname "Batman". But Rallo is no Dark Knight- he's the happiest guy with a long list of likes: people, walks, treats, his food, human food, big couches, stuffy toys, squeaky toys, and other dog friends. He also has the cutest tip-tappy paws when he is excited about something! Rallo has quickly settled into two different foster households. He has done great in his crate when at work/school (he has been alone for up to 7 hours). He is pretty happy doing whatever his people are doing - going for a walk/hike? Great! Hanging out on the couch? Also great! Rallo does have one big dislike: cats. He doesn't chase squirrels or rabbits on walks, but he feels cats just don't belong in his house.

She is golden brown in color with the long legs and ears of a hound. Roo is dog, people, and children friendly. She loves to play and is super sweet. Roo loves to run and play. She needs plenty of room to play, as she is a high energy dog; however, once she plays and expends her energy, she does settle down nicely. At one time, she was with a foster family who had 3 children and several dogs. She loved the children and dogs and played with them well. Cali currently lives with us in Springfield, Oregon. We are moving to Minnesota in August to a place she cannot come with us. She needs a home with someone who understands dogs. Cali is a loyal, loving, and emotional dog. She wants to be around people and once she bonds with you she will follow you unless you tell her "bed." She does best with a daily routine and is used to being left home while we are at work. She gets highly excited and needs to be reminded to calm down. She is a good girl and protective and will bark at strangers coming to the door. She does not bite but has a very intimidating growl that can put off new people. Once she smells you she warms up though. We adopted Cali a year ago from a family in Klamath Falls, OR who could not care for her. She was not socialized very much at that time. She has come a long way in the last year and has really matured in her behavior as well. I am sure she will find her way into your heart the way she did with ours.

Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200.
