You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.// Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee: $400 plus taxFenced yard and at least one other dog in the home are required! Needs a buddy or 2 to play with, but can entertain herself if needed. Loves to be outside no matter what the weather. Loves to go on walks once you are walking, but starting out is a little trying at times Loves to run and jump snow banks and her nickname should be 'hoppy' She literally hops up in the air with all four legs. She knows her commands: come - sit - stay - lay - heel - down - off. She is kennel trained. She loves the walk-through screen on the back door. She has been left out of her kennel for 3+hrs and no issues, but I would still suggest a kennel until she is acclimated. She walks awesome on a leash and loves her daily walks by the creek. She shows some interest in the water but has not yet gone in or the pool at the house. Sometimes we receive special requests from partners seeking help and MARS is always committed to helping whenever, and wherever, we are able. The picture you see is a dog that lived in South Korea on a 'meat farm' who barely escaped death. This is not a creative stretch at the truth to convince you to adopt a dog. Their story is very real. These dogs were raised to be sold for human consumption and one of the farms that these dogs were rescued from included it's own slaughter house. These dogs have only known starvation, squalor and loneliness. This particular group of South Korean survivors is a bit different in that they were the ones that no other rescue wanted. They were left behind by every other rescue partner. They are beautiful souls who deserve a chance and are not left behind discards. They have been living in a shelter for a couple of months, working with staff on a daily basis. Now they are ready to find the person that will see beyond their horrific past and love them for all that they are and will be. If you give these dogs a chance, you too will have a life changing experience. *The farms that these dogs came from have all been shut down. The cages were destroyed and the farmer signs a 20 year contract that he will not breed any animals and is provided job training to transition into a different career. Want to help Pung and his fellow meat trade survivors or other overlooked, left behind or forgotten survivors? Donations are a HUGE help in offsetting the costs so we can continue our mission! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. or *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //
