Welcome Apollo to CCPAL Rescue. Apollo is a 12 month old lab/Black Mouth Cur or Shepherd mix dog. He weighs about 40 pounds and has now been moved into the rescue from the Samaritan that found him. She found the entire litter of puppies and has fostered them until we had space. We have already adopted out 4 of this litter. Milo is one of their brothers. Apollo and his brother Orion are very lucky to now be in the rescue. They will get daily interaction with people and a nice routine so they can get used to structure. They were found by a very nice woman but she was too busy to work with the pups. They were and are well cared for but we will be working on leash manners and getting into a daily routine. It is amazing what attention and direction does for a dog. Apollo is good with other dogs. He has lived mostly outdoors but now is getting used to being in a kennel and doing some leash walk training. Apollo is a large dog but on the smaller side of large. He is a little shy at the moment but I do think he will do what all the others in this litter have done, blossom. He could be with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Apollo would be a great walking partner and right now his best home is someone who wants a companion. He would love one on one attention and direction. He responds well and bonds deeply to his human. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200 if we work with the transporters to deliver him to one of their stops. . Welcome Orion to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Orion is an 13-month-old Lab/Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs about 40 pounds and may way 50 full grown. He was found as a stray. He is a very sweet and responds well to affection. He will be large sized full-grown dog is our guess. He is friendly with other dogs off-leash. He has a beautiful medium length coat and stunning brown eyes. He was found as a stray and is now in foster care here in Texas. Orion has a brown shorter coat with a white blaze on his chest. He is a moderate shedding dog and not over the top. He stays in his yard and plays nicely with other dogs. He is good with all people and is very loving. He loves to play in the water and playing with sticks. He is a typical puppy. They are good at walking next to you in the yard. Orion would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He isn’t food assertive when eating and is not over the top wiggly. He is playful and outgoing. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, or all along the East Coast. Someone who does not work all day every day is best for a puppy. He will need to finish up his puppy training. He spends a lot of time outside in his foster home here in Texas. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Brenda is a beautiful, gentle soul who is around 6 months old and already showing what a wonderful companion she will be. This sweet big girl has a calm, easygoing personality and can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her loving nature shines through. Brenda is fantastic with kids and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. She has a submissive personality, which helps her make friends easily and keeps playtime drama-free. Whether it's a tiny puppy or a large adult dog, Brenda is happy to share her space and make new friends. One of Brenda's favorite things in the world is a good belly rub! She'll gladly roll over and soak up all the love and attention you want to give. Elena is a dream girl!! She is likely a black mouth cur mix with sugar and spice and everything NICE :) She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to sit, wait to eat her food until she is told to &"go ahead "She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home.
