Roo is a stray found in Raymond, Mississippi when she was about 4 months old. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and softest coat ever! She is golden brown in color with the long legs and ears of a hound. Roo is dog, people, and children friendly. She loves to play and is super sweet. Roo loves to run and play. She needs plenty of room to play, as she is a high energy dog; however, once she plays and expends her energy, she does settle down nicely. At one time, she was with a foster family who had 3 children and several dogs. She loved the children and dogs and played with them well. Roo is now boarding, and she desperately needs a forever home! Roo is being cared for in Mississippi but we do transport. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. She does not mind cats at all and completely ignores them. She loves her crate--it's her safe space. She is great on leash and loves walks. May is about 4.5 years old and weighs 55 pounds. She would do best in a home as an only dog, and needs a quiet, calm environment willing to take things slow to help her adjust to home life. Meet Runner! This sweet girl got her name from following her finder home on a run! She probably knew she’d found someone who would help her. She’s a little nervous, but it’s only her first day at the rescue. Her finder had her for a month and fully house trained her, and she knows her manners. Runner is about 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. She looks like a Black Mouth Cur mix, but she has a fluffy tail and some interesting coloring on her legs. She walks well on a leash, and is learning that the world is a fun place to explore when you have a safe, warm home and regular food every day! She’s good with other dogs and people, and would love to keep building her confidence.
