Story
Seeking a loving home for a lively and affectionate brown dog! She’s great with cats, adores playing with kids, and has excellent indoor manners. Off-leash trained*, knows commands like sit and lay down. Rarely barks, up-to-date on vaccinations. While I can’t provide the attention she deserves, she thrives with love and energetic companionship. Ideal for a family with kids who can match her enthusiasm. Let’s find her the perfect home together. *When we initially got her, she was off leashed trained. I imagine she will have to be trained up again.

Story
Penny is a beautiful copper one-year-old pittie mix who was found as a stray. She’s got just the right amount of energy – she loves to play and have a good time, but after playing with a toy for a while (either with you throwing it, or with her pushing it around the house herself, SO cute!), or a half-mile walk, she’ll be ready for some snoozing and cuddling. Penny is a low to medium energy kind of gal. She soaks in your attention and loves without being demanding about it. She’s such an easy, go-with-the-flow, kind of dog. We mentioned toys, and we have to tell you that she loves any and absolutely every latex-type toy. Give her a toy and someone to toss it to her (even if it’s two feet away), and Penny is the happiest girl! Penny loves people and is the sweetest soul; she will fill your cup with joy every day you’re around her. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about Penny. She’s in a foster home in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Meet Booker, a young canine overflowing with a lively personality and curiosity. He's a bit shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Once he warms up, his goofy personality shines through. He's independent, always ready for an adventure, sniffing out new experiences with a wagging tail. Booker enjoys exploring the backyard on his own, sniffing around and soaking up the fresh air. But at the end of the day, Booker is a loyal companion, eager to curl up by your side. He has the safest fur you've ever felt. His wiggly happiness is infectious, brightening up even the gloomiest of days. Being potty trained is my claim to fame - you won't find any accidents in my corner of the house. I take pride in my good behavior, and my foster parents appreciate it too. I'm also Kennel trained, it's another one of my talents. I've got a cozy little spot that's all my own, and I'm happy to curl up there whenever I need some peace and quiet. Now, when it comes to cats, let's just say I'm not their biggest fan. It's not that I'm mean or anything, but those furry felines just rub me the wrong way. I prefer a canine companion or some quality solo time. Adopt Booker, and let his playful spirit bring joy and laughter into your life. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

My name is Leon.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m a two-year-old Black Mouth Cur/mix that found wandering the streets&#44 lost and alone. My friends at Great Plains SPCA realized soon after finding me that my owner had passed away&#44 and assured me that theyandamp;#39;d find me a home full of love and joy.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m described as an andamp;quot;all-around nice dogandamp;quot; by almost everyone Iandamp;#39;ve met! Housetrained&#44 easy to walk on leash&#44 an expert tennis ball fetcher&#44 and even dog-friendly! My foster taught me that being in a crate was pretty nice too&#44 so Iandamp;#39;m 100% prepared to transition smoothly into your home. I love to cuddle up on the couch with my foster&#44 and will frequently take power naps in my kennel throughout the day. Iandamp;#39;ve got a doggy friend in my foster home too&#44 and we get along swimmingly. Since I can be a little shy&#44 I would prefer an adult only home. Loud kid noises are just a little scary for me&#44 surely you understand?andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;If youandamp;#39;re looking for a sweet&#44 wonderful fella whose only dream is a new family of his own&#44 I just might be the dog for you.
