*****Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Juice (known by his foster as Joey), a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 56 lbs, with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to feel safe. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’s been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone’s whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person, and he loves resting his head and paw on your arm like his own little love language. He can be shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he is deeply loyal and devoted. Juice played with neighborhood dogs, including a larger husky. His play style was bouncy and rough. He has become more fearful around unfamiliar dogs and prefers his space, especially near his crate. He’s seems to ignores smaller dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. Juice is not cat friendly and will chase, so a cat-free home is required for him. Juice has an average energy level and is happy with moderate daily activity. He does pull on leash when excited and has been working on that. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, although he does sleep well in there through the night. He’s had some potty accidents. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in. He's always ready for a ride. Juice has only shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine he’s made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He’s not a “problem dog” he’s a sensitive soul who just needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. Give Juice that, and he’ll give you his whole heart. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Story
Why I need a new home She's not a good fit for our family My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Cleo (short for Cleopatra because of her "eyeliner") is a 7 year old, spayed Black Mouth Cur mix. She is a very affectionate dog who loves to cuddle, play, watch the squirrels, and belly rubs/ being pet. Most of the time, you will find her snuggled up on her dog bed or at your side. She loves to run around the yard, have adventures at the dog park, play with her toys; she is a very fun and loving dog. Cleo is also quite sweet and gentle. She has lived with various other dogs, a cat, and a 5 year old all without issues. She is friendly with other dogs and loves new people. I adopted Cleo from her previous owners 4 days ago she has been wonderful with our people ,She has gone through a training school and knows how to sit, stay, lay down, wait at the door before going out, leave it, etc. Cleo would be amazing in your loving home. Please ask questions we encourage it.

Story
Stop scrolling for a second, because this little ray of sunshine deserves your full attention. Her name is Sophie Rosie Pocket Full of Sunshine, a name that might sound big and whimsical, but somehow still doesn’t quite capture just how much joy this girl brings into a room. From the moment you meet her, Sophie has a way of making the world feel a little lighter. With her bright happy spirit, wagging tail, and those big teddy-bear puppy dog eyes, she greets life and everyone in it like it’s the best day ever. Sophie is the kind of dog who instantly makes friends wherever she goes. People, kids, dogs, everyone is welcome in Sophie’s world. Her cheerful personality, goofy charm, and affectionate nature make it almost impossible not to fall head over heels for her within minutes. She’s playful, loving, and full of that contagious happiness that turns ordinary moments into something special. Watch her video and your day will instantly be brighter: https://youtu.be/rSkT5mkynIU?si=zr8mP5k8iVEmEMCr Sophie Rosie is believed to be a Lab mix approximately 8 months old and currently weighs 48lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue dog, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing that is a given with this bundle of joy is how adorable she is and how happy she is all the time. Sophie loves every person she meets, she truly knows no stranger! Connections with her are instantaneous. When people first meet her they instantly comment on how adorable and friendly she is. It's almost impossible not to immediately fall for her friendly and goofy personality. Her friendliness also extends toward kids as well and she has been around children as young as 5 years old. Sophie is so loving and is the type of pup your kids can easily find a best friend in. Boy does she love them. She might even love kids more than she loves adults honestly. She immediately went up to three kids ages 5, 12, and 14 and it was like she knew that is exactly where she belongs and has been there before. She was immediately giving them kisses, crawling up on the couch for full-body cuddles and if you watched her video, you can clearly see how happy she is around kids. From jumping around on and off the couch, to the yelling, random movements, unexpected grabbing hands, and even during those moments when the kids were giving her bear hugs, she was completely comfortable with it all. Sophie listened when the kids asked her to sit, came when they called her, and also took treats very gently from them too. Sophie was born to be a family dog! Sophie is dog friendly and makes friends everywhere she goes. She can be a little shy at first when she first meets a dog, but it does not take her long to open up. She has been in multiple play groups with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and she has the time of her life. She has a more gentle play style and loves to romp around with the other dogs, occasionally engaging in a gentle wrestling match, and then enjoying those calmer moments as well. One of her favorite games to play is chase. She loves running as fast as she can and enjoys when her doggy friends are running alongside her. She is great at sharing treats and affection with other dogs as well. We would love to see Sophie go to a home with another moderately playful pup that has a similar play style as her. One that will want to romp around in the backyard and also enjoy those calmer relaxing moments together. If you don’t have other dogs, that’s perfectly fine too. Sophie does not need another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up. She is a social butterfly by nature and she would be just as happy being your one and only. Sophie also met our house cat Biggie and handled the introduction beautifully. She was respectful and appropriate, did not chase Biggie, and wasn’t bothered by his typical cat behavior. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Sophie would thrive in a home with a semi-active family that enjoys going on walks around the neighborhood and is looking for a super affectionate girl. If you're someone that likes to host and have people over, Sophie will be the very first one to greet your guests. Not feeling super social one day? That’s perfectly fine with Sophie, she’ll be happy wherever you are. She would also make an amazing little adventure buddy too! Take her to the park, explore nature trails, go on outings, visit your local brewery or beach, and watch her win hearts and gather adoring fans everywhere she goes. We believe Sophie would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, enjoy the sunshine, and meander alongside you while you garden or work around the yard. In short, Sophie Rosie Pocket Full of Sunshine truly lives up to her name because having her in your life would feel a lot like carrying a little pocket full of sunshine with you everywhere you go. We are willing to test Sophie Rosie with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Looking for a companion who is equal parts adventurer and world class cuddler? Meet Nash, the sleek, 48lb bundle of joy who is ready to sprint or stroll straight into your heart! Nash is the ultimate best of both worlds kind of guy. He’s got that signature bouncy, fun loving play style that will keep you smiling, but he also calm for those quiet evenings at home. Whether he’s showing off his social butterfly skills with other pups or leaning in for some quality one on one time, Nash is a balanced, well socialized gentleman who just wants to be part of your world. Watch Nash’s zoomies in action! https://youtu.be/Vw27A32mFBE Nash is a hang out dog. While he loves a good trail walk or swim in the pool, he is happiest when he’s acting as your loyal shadow. He’s the kind of dog who will happily accompany you on a 3 mile trek and then immediately look for a soft spot to lounge by your side and give you “the look” as to watch movie are we watching. He isn’t just a pet; he’s a partner in crime who is always tuned in to his person's vibe. Now, he hasn’t exactly disclosed his family tree with us yet, but we think Nash is a Black Mouth Cur mix! As a rescue superstar, his true heritage remains a mystery, but his stunning 48 lb frame makes him the perfect medium sized companion. He’s big enough to keep up with any adventure, yet compact enough to not take up the entire sofa though he’ll definitely try to tuck those long legs in for a serious snuggle once you're home! Nash has been flourishing in a foster home! He is a crate trained rockstar who sleeps soundly through the night and stays calm while his humans are away. Even better? He is fully potty trained and has been a perfect houseguest. He’s lives with other dogs and handles the hustle and bustle of a multi dog household like a total pro, showing off his impeccable manners day in and day out. When it comes to other dogs, Nash is a balanced king. He has a playful, bouncy energy that makes him a hit at the park, but he’s also incredibly respectful. If another dog isn't in the mood to play, Nash simply says cool and walks away. He would thrive in a home with another dog to wrestle with, or he’d be perfectly content as your one and only spoiled prince! Nash is a dog who knows what he likes and he’s decided that feline friends aren't on his guest list! He seemed a little too interested when it comes to cats, so he’s looking for a strictly cat free sanctuary. Nash dreams of a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and freely "sing his songs" to his heart's content; he is adaptable enough to thrive in an apartment setting. He’s a "people person" through and through, and his ideal day involves a walk followed by a long nap. Nash is a medium energy companion, and an ideal hiking buddy for an active individual or family. In short, Nash is a sophisticated, social, and sweet natured guy who is just waiting for the right person to lead the way. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is as well behaved in the house as he is fun on the trails, Nash is your man! Ready to make Nash a permanent part of your pack? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69c2ed89ffb34db1950fccb8 Questions? He’s not all about bringing the party vibes all the time, he appreciates down time and relaxing at the house with his new friend. Bowen would do great in a home with another playful dog like himself. When it comes to training, Bowen loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! He is learning how to sit more consistently and on command and he is crate and potty trained as well. He walks well on a leash and he also does well tandem walking next to another dog! Future pack walk pup right here. He does pull every now and then when he sees a friendly face he wants to say to, but overall he’s a joy to talk on walks. He will be a great dog to take with you on hikes, walks at the park, or even potential trips to the beach. His ideal home would have a backyard where he can zoom around, play with his toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. He loves people and is a social butterfly, so if you're someone that likes to host, have friends over for backyard BBQ's, Bowen will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment. I'm sure he will be on of the main talking points in all your conversations. Especially that smile of his. We are willing to test Bowen Grinner with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
