*****Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Juice (known by his foster as Joey), a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 56 lbs, with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to feel safe. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’s been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone’s whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person, and he loves resting his head and paw on your arm like his own little love language. He can be shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he is deeply loyal and devoted. Juice played with neighborhood dogs, including a larger husky. His play style was bouncy and rough. He has become more fearful around unfamiliar dogs and prefers his space, especially near his crate. He’s seems to ignores smaller dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. Juice is not cat friendly and will chase, so a cat-free home is required for him. Juice has an average energy level and is happy with moderate daily activity. He does pull on leash when excited and has been working on that. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, although he does sleep well in there through the night. He’s had some potty accidents. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in. He's always ready for a ride. Juice has only shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine he’s made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He’s not a “problem dog” he’s a sensitive soul who just needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. Give Juice that, and he’ll give you his whole heart. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Story
Buck was almost another forgotten shelter dog. I first saw his picture at a very high-kill shelter that euthanizes dozens of dogs regularly. He was severely underweight, scared, and looked like he had nearly starved to death. His surrender notes said his owners dumped him after he killed a chicken. Considering the condition he was in, it is obvious that he acted out of desperation and hunger. I kept telling myself I could not take in another brown Heinz 57 dog. But I could not stop thinking about him. Today, Buck is healthy, safe, and finally able to just be a dog again. Buck is about 2 years old and around 40 pounds with a people-focused, affectionate personality. He absolutely loves attention and wants to be near his person whenever possible. Despite everything he went through, he has remained incredibly social and loving with humans. He also does very well with other dogs overall. He can occasionally act a little dominant with other males, but nothing concerning or over the top. He settles well into group dynamics and enjoys being around other dogs. Buck has a very balanced energy level. He enjoys hanging out, exploring, getting attention, and simply being included in daily life. Now that he no longer has to worry about survival, his personality continues to open up more and more. Dogs like Buck are everywhere in overcrowded shelters right now. Good dogs. Normal dogs. Dogs that simply ran out of time, resources, or human compassion. Buck was lucky enough to make it out. Good fit: someone wanting a loyal, affectionate companion that enjoys being close to their people and included in everyday life. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Cider is the kind of puppy that reminds you how much confidence can grow when a dog finally feels safe. When she first arrived, she was terrified of everything. New people, new dogs, new environments—it was all overwhelming for her. Now? She’s a completely different puppy. Cider is a happy, playful, confident 5-month-old girl who has discovered how fun life can be. She loves other dogs and thrives around them. Wrestling, tug-of-war, zoomies—if another dog wants to play, Cider is ready. She would especially love a home with a playful adult dog that can continue helping guide and teach her. She’s also good with cats and has adjusted beautifully once given time to settle in and learn that she was safe. Cider is the perfect example of a puppy who just needed confidence and stability to let her real personality come out. Good fit: someone wanting a playful puppy who enjoys other animals and would benefit from having a confident dog friend in the home. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back.
