Story
MEET ROMEO, a handsome, loyal, protective Black Mouth Cur. Romeo is a handsome 6-year-old male, and he weighs about 74 lbs. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo is a gorgeous, handsome dog who loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike! He's a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from walks, hikes, and exercise, and people who understand his breed. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Maggie! She is currently 4 months, and we think she may be a Black Mouth Cur / Labrador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Maggie's video here: https://youtu.be/QXYSj0liE8E?si=qwiArxoO1__3s7K0 Maggie – The Woo-Woo Queen with a Heart of Gold Maggie is the kind of puppy who makes every day feel like a good day. When she’s excited — which is often — she lets out the cutest little “woo-woo!” that’ll have you laughing out loud. She’s full of fun, packed with personality, and always up for playtime. But underneath all that goofiness is a fiercely loyal, loving soul. Maggie connects deeply with her people and never turns down a good snuggle (especially belly-up, her preferred position for soaking up love). She’s smart, silly, sweet — and totally unforgettable. If you’re looking for a forever friend who brings joy, laughter, and nonstop tail wags, Maggie’s your girl. Maggie is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Maggie's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! Watch Lisa's video here: https://youtu.be/0RxP8B-nm6c?si=v1dOMGX_4gPJBz8c Lisa – The Soft-Eyed Sweetheart with an Old Soul Lisa may be just a pup, but there’s something unmistakably wise about her. She has the calm, observant nature of an old soul — the kind of puppy who watches the world quietly before jumping in. Her deep, steady gaze is what gets everyone first: soft, loving, and so full of feeling it almost stops you in your tracks. She’s the biggest of her siblings, and yes, she plays like a proper puppy — full of energy, curiosity, and the perfect splash of silliness. But even in the chaos, there’s something grounded about her. She doesn’t rush into things. She thinks, she learns, and she gives her love thoughtfully. Lisa can be a little shy at first, but once she opens up, she’s affectionate and loyal. She loves to lay belly up while she cuddles with you. She’s smart, sweet, and full of quiet charm. If you’re looking for a puppy with both spunk and soul — one who plays hard but feels deeply — Lisa might just be the one. Meet Bart! He is currently 4 months old, and we think he may be a Black Cur / Labrador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Bart's video here: https://youtu.be/aNYHHHqbems?si=hkphItTbjcXpNc-p Bart – Certified Couch Potato & Unintentional Drift Racer Bart is the only boy in his litter and he’s embraced his role with sweet, wiggly pride. He’s a mellow little dude who lives for snuggles, belly rubs, and long, luxurious naps — preferably upside down. But when Bart gets excited? His tail goes into overdrive and his whole back end starts doing this hilarious sideways shimmy. Sometimes, he even drifts a little — like his joy has too much horsepower for those puppy brakes. It’s equal parts adorable and ridiculous, and we love him for it. Shy at first but endlessly loyal, Bart is the kind of pup who just wants to be your soft, snuggly sidekick (with the occasional surprise booty slide). If you’re into affectionate weirdos with great napping skills, Bart’s your guy. Bart is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires.
