Story
Silly Goose is sweet, gentle, loves the water, being outside, and loves being around the people he cares about most. Maybe it’s his sweet eyes that look at you with so much love in them, his cute floppy ears when they perk up or his radiating smile. Goose is a Black Mouth Cur mix approximately just under 2 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs and is fully grown! He is very dog friendly and did amazing meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. He has the playfulness to play for short bursts with the other dogs but also knows when to take breaks. He is very tolerant and is more of a submissive fella. When he’s not playing with his doggy friends, you’ll typically find him sitting in the back watching the other dogs play in the yard, out exploring and taking in the fresh air, chilling in the pool/pond, or loving on his humans. He has a really nice calming demeanor about him and a great balanced energy that could match a variety of different households. He would do great in home with a backyard where he can sunbathe and roll around in the grass. I do see Goose living his best life out in the country exploring with his people, swimming in the pond, catching butterflies with the kids, and sitting with you on the back porch watching the sunset. Goose is always a bit shy at first but once he knows you’re his person he opens up quickly. Goose has done well in his foster home in the crate and is potty trained. He has also lived with other dogs in the foster home and did great! Goose will need someone willing to help him polish his leash skills and continue reinforcing his basic manners. He is very treat motivated which will make training a breeze. He is not jumpy or mouthy and is very tolerant of physical touch. We believe he would make a great family dog with kids. We are willing to test Goose with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Lonzo is the steady, somewhat serious one of his litter – and he’s a big cuddly teddy bear. This solid puppy loves to play and wrestle with his siblings but is more watchful and curious of all that goes on around him. He’s also adventurous and not afraid to go off exploring on his own. Unless he’s sleeping. Which he does a LOT. Lonzo is really enjoying puppy life and we know you will too. Lonzo is sure to be a brave and loyal friend to whomever is lucky enough to adopt him. Lonzo has the softest brown coat, with a black snout, black ‘eyebrows’, and dark blue eyes that will surprise you every time they catch the light. This puppy has a lot of dark features, so that flash of blue will definitely make you look twice. Lonzo has the cutest white dot of fur on top of his nose, and a white stripe down his chin – an easy way to distinguish him from his other brown siblings. Lonzo’s soft floppy ears are also tipped in black and you will love to watch them as he bounces along in his puppy prance. His chest is white with a brown dot in the center – a literal bullseye for scratches and belly rubs, both of which he can’t resist. You are sure to be entertained by all of Lonzo’s classic puppy antics. He loves to jump and play with all eight (8!) of his siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Lonzo is one of the three boys of this litter (that also has six girls). Lonzo is currently just 4 months old, and we think he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Lonzo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Bastian is currently 4 months old and over 40 pounds, and we think he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Bastian's latest video here: *coming soon* This handsome big fella is so mellow and affectionate with everyone he meets. Bastian is the perfect gentle gentleman, and you won’t be able to resist his baleful eyes and adorable wrinkles. The absolute best part of Bastian, right after his wrinkles and infectious smile, is his CRAZY AMAZING curly helicopter tail. We are fascinated with making his curly tail go in tight circles, large flat helicopter circles, a question mark, or straighten out, and this adorable boy is happy to oblige. He has complete tail control and we are convinced that it is absolutely representative of his joyful nature and personality. You too will think this needs further research and study – the Bastian Curly Tail Research Project can start as soon as you apply to adopt him! (Please update us with any research study results; we are 100% invested in this project.) Bastian might be the largest boy of his litter, but he handles his size with such poise and grace. He does still think he’s quite small and can fit in your lap, lol, and he loves to be held and squished (we said it). His entire litter is extraordinarily loving and devoted – seriously one of the most caring and affectionate litter of puppies we’ve seen to date - such a credit to our amazing foster homes and the love and security they provide!! His smile lights up his whole face; we challenge you to resist his smile when his tongue hangs out the side. Bastian loves people, especially kids, and is such a gentle treat taker. He already knows basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, and loves to explore his surroundings and choose the softest comfiest place to relax (we recommend an XXL bed, please, but Bastian will make do and not complain). Bastian loves soft stuffies and squeaky toys and it is so much fun to watch him play with them, especially when other dogs are around – he shares, then takes away, then shares again (lol). You are sure to be entertained by Bastian’s expressive face and loving attitude. He comes from a litter of 8 and is currently in a single foster home with all of them. He would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention – he is honestly so relaxed and easygoing that he would fit in anywhere there is love and affection (and lots of toys and treats). Bastian is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Story
Loving this affectionate and gentle blue-eyed baby girl is so easy to do. You will fall head over heels for Tula because she is simply charming. Tula is both brave and curious, perky and cheerful. She can hold her own against her brothers and siblings, but is so gentle with everyone she meets. Tula loves to play and nap, often one right after the other – she will play, then drop down for a quick snooze. That’s the best part of puppy life! Tula has the softest brown with black coat that seems to change from light to dark depending on how the light hits her. Her snout is a solid black and both ears are the prettiest brown-to-black ombré. She has black accents around her eyes that make the cutest little ‘eyebrows’ that frame her dreamy blue eyes. Perhaps the best part of Tula’s face is her white chin. Tula’s chest and belly has a lot of fluffy white, and the very tips of her toes has the slightest white ‘manicure’. You are sure to be entertained by all of Tula’s classic puppy antics. Ria is ready for the best adventure with you! This affectionate and playful pup needs someone that will lavish all their attention on her. Luckily for you, that will be easy to do – this little girl is so lovable. She loves to be held and given belly rubs almost as much as she likes to play and nap. If you adopt Ria, be sure you are prepared for all the kisses you will get – Ria does not hold back when showing her affection (and we love it that way). Ria is a beautiful tricolour puppy – her body is mostly a soft furry black, but she has tan legs and white ‘boots’. Her head and ears are mostly black, with the cutest brown eyebrows to accentuate her every expression. Ria has a patch of white on top of and underneath her shiny black nose, and also at her chin. She has a distinctive diamond-shaped patch of white fur at the nape of her neck that pops amidst all the black, making her easy to spot from above. Perhaps the best part is her soft white furry belly, which she will show you often while playing and begging for belly rubs. This sweet girl has the best markings and will be quite the stunner as she grows! You are sure to be entertained by all of Ria’s classic puppy antics. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This sweet boy can go from a seemingly shy boy to the smiliest lover with just the sound of sweet talk! It was amazing to see him light up when we started talking sweet, he understands that its directed at him and it means he is loved and appreciated. Hunter Smalls… because what he hunts for is small- a sweet talking someone of his very own. At an estimated 2 years old, Hunter has a calm demeanor that typically only comes with age. He is a petite 39 lbs of calm, dog-friendly, cat-tolerant, peaceful companionship. Aside from the power sweet talk has over him, my favorite thing about Hunter is his contentedness. Whether its out in the yard or in the living room, he is happy to share space with in your company. You don’t need to entertain him and he won’t be pestering you for endless games of catch. This gentle soul can be a touch shy at first, but once he senses your warmth and the sweet talk begins, he opens up to show you his loving nature. With his calm demeanor and quiet disposition, Hunter is going to be a wonderful companion to you and other dogs at home. He is a gentleman in the company of other dogs, showing a playful side while maintaining his cool even when other dogs get a bit pushy.. A home with a calm, friendly companion would be a dream! In rescue we cannot know age or breed with any guarantee but believe he may be a black mouth cur mix. Thanks to his size and incredibly calm and content nature, Hunter has potential to be an apartment boy but he would love a cozy home with a little yard to explore and occasionally nap in. His light-up face and gentle soul promises to keep your life charmed and full of love! His charm and loyalty are going to feel like such a gift! Adopt Hunter and know the depth of rescue love waiting in him! If you have any questions about Hunter or would like us to test him in a specific setting or for a particular detail, please reach out! We are committed to making sure he is the perfect fit for you and your lifestyle, and we can accommodate most requests to make that happen. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
