Story
Say hi to Jupiter! How did we get him? He ran in front of my boyfriend’s car in July of 2025. He was very friendly and we took him home, expecting someone to be looking for him. After many post and vet visits, we couldn’t find anyone. The vet said he had been outside for at least 2 days, and we knew we had to keep him and show him some love. Is your home right for him? This dude is a LOVE BUG and an ENERGIZER BUNNY. He’s a velcro dog and will want to follow you EVERY WHERE. He is strong-willed and has infinite energy due to his breed. He needs a home with an active lifestyle and a big enough budget to invest in his care. He is most definitely a pup for experienced owners. If you’re looking for a playful, high energy companion that will be the most loyal best friend for the rest of his life, you’re in the right place! He is also well socialized with other dogs since he has been going to a daycare pretty regularly since we got him, but he can push patience limits with older dogs.

Story
Meet William! William is a 6-7 month old (as of June 1,2025) bloodhound who somehow landed himself in a rural Georgia shelter. Once RMG found out about this guy, we didn't waste any time getting him to safety to make sure he ends up with a family that understands his breed and needs.   William is an adorably goofy guy with as much love as he has ears and loose skin - and that's saying a lot! Already tipping the scale at 50 lbs, it's reasonable to expect him to potentially hit 90-100 lbs - although not having any background on his parentage we can't be certain. What we can be certain of, though, is that whoever adopts this guy is going to be very lucky! William is great with other dogs, cats, and absolutely loves every person he meets!   Are you a tried and true hound lover looking for a new BFF? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: William is only available for adoption within Metro Atlanta to adopters with first hand ownership experience with purebred Bloodhounds (or similar purebred). Additionally, RMG requires an adult dog in the home for all puppy adoptions. These are strict requirements  ##2415544##

Story
Meet Leeloo 🐾 Leeloo is a 5-year-old Bloodhound with a heart as big as her ears and a nose that never quits. This sweet girl is fully housetrained, knows her basic commands, and walks nicely on leash—especially when there’s something interesting to sniff along the way. Leeloo is wonderfully gentle and tends to be on the submissive side. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids, though because she’s big and strong (even if she doesn’t quite realize it), she’d do best with older children and patient canine companions who appreciate her easygoing nature. Her ideal forever home would be a house with a securely fenced yard, where she can safely explore the world through her nose. Leeloo would thrive with a family who enjoys daily walks, outdoor time, and plenty of cuddles—because once she’s done sniffing, she’s all about love and affection. Experience with scent hounds would be a huge plus, as Leeloo will happily follow her nose wherever it leads. One of her favorite pastimes? Swimming! Give her water, sunshine, and a little adventure, and she’s in heaven. Leeloo is the kind of dog who will fit right into your life—and your heart. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with soulful eyes and endless love to give, Leeloo might just be your perfect match. 💛
